Smiling with every episode!

I was giving up because of these awful reviews, but I gave it a chance and no regrets! It has been so many funny moments i couldn't stop watching it. It is a relaxing story without many kdrama expectations. I can say it is the funniest of this year 2022, much better than the overrated BP.
I watched all episodes one after the other because I wanted it to happen soon. Lol! then i remember it is a kdrama so kissing wont happen before the final episode. Of course you will find so many drama cliches. Give it a chance and enjoy it.

I honestly think this is one of the best dramas

its had been very long since I was trying to find a good romance comedy drama. and I came across sh**ting stars. I promise you except wait for the episodes nothing abt this drama sucks. the acting is phenomenal. the story line is yes similar to alot of other k dramas but I think that's why I watch most of the k dramas too be swept of the feet with the tension, the romance, the wait for them to kiss and hold hands. and this k drama gives me all of that . every Friday and saturday I cannot wait for the episodes to come.

It's the perfect combination of romance, comedy & a little bit of suspense (from ep 7)

The story goes around two college friends who met at a movie theater by chance. They both get attracted towards each other. And then came to knew that they are in same college. And futher they became colleagues as an Actor (Ging Tae Sung) & PR team head (Oh han Byul). And later realised their feelings for each other. I started this drama for Kim Young Dae (Gong Tae Sung) and ended up falling for Lee Jung Shin (Do Soo Hyuk) But after watching episode 7 & 8 you will be curious about the lady who makes food for Gong Tae Sung. Cause I'm really curious about her. Who's she? Why she always add extra salt in Gong Tae Sung's food? Why she went to store and bougth the limited edition watch? And why Gong Tae Sung mom is afraid of her?

Very Boring

Come from the actress off weightlifting fairy, this is quite the disappointment. This show is very slow and is very boring, with the amount of boring scenes this could just be a bunch of fillers mashed together. With having such a great actress start this is totally wasted talent. I haven't seen such a boring show in a while, but this one is just cliché boring I wouldn't recommend to watch this one. If they were to redo the story and talk more about supporting the characters then it would be better, the story is all over the place and bland.

Love stories behind the scenes

Shooting Stars offers a story about the different lives of people behind the cameras. Starting from writers, managers and PR’s who work hard to take care of the image of their artists.
During the drama, these characters also unveil the hardships of their work especially in handling their actors. Even though they are immersed in their jobs, they also opened their hearts to the people whom they like. Shooting Stars shows that a well-balanced lifestyle would make one’s heart happy.
The background music and the pairing were effective, although the acting of the cast felt overdone and sometimes there was a lack of stability. The drama felt monotonous at times however the end result was not bad at all.

My Rating : 7/10

Loved every minute of this!

A love story between a top star and the PR team leader of his management agency.

This totally chaotic couple captured my heart. OhEmGee - they’re hilarious! I thoroughly enjoyed watching their crazy antics & banter as they grew from frenemies to lovers.

The ML { Kim Young Dae } is this big star with a real cool & suave vibe, always appearing very confident. But he proves that the persona we show the public isn’t always our true selves. When not in “work mode” he’s much more innocent & a bit dorky, though not many get to see it since he’s learned to hold himself back out of self preservation due to past trauma & a need to protect his secrets. But after returning to Korea & being back in the FL’s presence, then realizing his feelings for her, he begins to open up & allow more people to get close, which is so delightful to watch. And the pure way he loves the FL made my heart flutter so much! His efforts to woo her are so hilarious & heart warming. I just love him! (+ him & his manager/driver are so fun!)

The FL { Lee Sung Kyung } is such a great character. Loyal & hard working, she does everything she can to protect each “star” their PR firm manages. They failed to protect someone before &, in the aftermath, she devotes herself to never losing someone again, sometimes at the expense of herself. She has such a beautiful heart, but a misunderstanding skewed her opinion of the ML. She liked him years ago but that incident left her wary of falling for him again. But he eventually wins her heart & I was so there for the journey! I love how fierce she was in her desire to protect him, even when they were “enemies”. She’s always known him better than anyone, so seeing them finally get together & just how much more protective she becomes of him… total girl crush happening here!

They’re one of my favorite brain-cleanse couples from any drama trauma. Their chemistry is so natural & tingles inducing, while their kisses make me melt. 🔥🫠

Bonus - there is NO toxicity except the villains. AND there’s 4 more healthy love stories! I highly recommend this if you like rom-coms where the only “drama” is the good kind. 💜🩵

Surprisingly Satisfying... ?

I went into watching this drama having low expectations but I finished it feeling nicely satisfied.

It was nothing mind blowing and it wasn't a drama that will have a lasting impact on me. When I think about the best dramas I've watched this certainly won't come to my mind, HOWEVER as an easy watch to view between dramas that are more on the gritty side it's very good!

The thing that makes this drama the most is the side characters. The main couple are great don't get me wrong, but if it wasn't for the rest of the cast it would've been very dull. It was fun to see all the couples get together and for friendships to form.

I did enjoy Gong Tae Sung's character, it was enjoyable to have a ml with a personality more on the silly side. As a result the humor in the drama was actually funny.

Overall a good drama to watch when you don't want to concentrate too hard but nothing really extraordinary.

Too cliché, too many plotholes.

Even though there was a build-up at the start, showing the friendship/ relationship between the two mc, I still don't feel there was chemistry between them. It's tough to watch the number of plotholes in this drama. There was no need for the absurd number of relationships in the drama. The couple which I fell wholeheartedly were Sojin and Jungshin. They were too cute. Jonghoon and Yoonhye's relationship was just Nah. Everything felt too rushed. WAY TOO MANY HUGS AND it's just too much I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For real.

Too bad I can't give more than 10 stars ⭐️

I found this drama really good, not only because of the story which is excellently developed by the actors but especially because of the way the dramas are made! I watched the first episode and was immediately captivated by the series which I recommend to everyone!
Both main actors have charisma and chemistry, they work well together and it shows!
Kim Young - Dae is great as always, but in this drama he has outdone himself. I think I will watch Sh**ting Star again for it really deserves it!

Made me a fan of Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae

This is a drama I can watch over and over because I loved it so much. There is a part in one of the episode that I have never laughed so hard in my life, Lee Sung Kyung great actress and one of my favorites. The two main leads were wonderful. If you are looking for a feel good, and make me laugh comedy this drama is for you. Thank you director Lee Soo Hyun for making such a great drama, and also all those who participated. A must watch drama.

“The story of all sorts of people who clean up stars' messes.”

Except for the ugly representation of Africa in Episode 1, this was honestly such a good watch! I started this without any expectations and only for some laughs — but it turned out way better that it's now one of my favorites! I was actually scared at putting my positive review here because the rating is so low, but trust me, watch it if you haven't yet, you won't regret it! The first three episodes will get you hooked, and the rest will make you stay.

I genuinely thought it was just a silly romcom about an actor and a staff who hates each other because she accidentally made a typo in an article about him, kinda like enemies to lovers, but it was actually more than that. They got together quite quickly and we were only halfway through the show so I was hesitant about continuing, but I'm so glad that I didn't drop it. Everything about this series was well-executed and problems were not dragged for a long time. There were also a few twists that would keep you at the edge of your seat. The drama tackled potential issues that not only actors experience, but those whom they work with as well in the entertainment industry.

It was a perfect balance of everything.

Things I loved about it:
i. Five side couples with different tropes! Honestly, some of them were unexpected but all of them were so cute.
ii. LEE SUNG KYUNG !!! her chemistry with young dae was amazing :') honestly put her beside any man and i can already see the vision
iii. OSTs! Amazing songs!
iv. The few twists
v. The side characters also did such amazing job that sometimes they outshine the main leads!
vi. The cute epilogue in each episode! The epilogue in episode 2 was my favorite!

Again, worth-watching!

It's just too good.

I'll just get into the review straight up and try my best not to spoil too much so here we go!

Story
It was great. Male lead is a top actor while Female lead is a PR team leader at the company he's signed in. They were both classmates in the same department in college and in a way formed a friendship where they enjoyed each other's company but also bickered from time to time. I mean I liked it but when I first watched it and (I misunderstood it during like ep.2 or 3 that I thought they were an ex-couple) I thought it would be more intriguing in a way if they had that trope. It would explain their bickering more and the tension between them too. Since I was just plain confused why he just keeps teasing her even though he'll mention the reasons, I feel like that trope would've worked well. But either way it was still good. Supporting characters made the drama cute and the others dramatic. This is just full on hyper-realism with how they just do their jobs and live their lives but with romance being highlighted since there's a lot in here. Of course there were some details that could've been addressed better like the beginning of the drama (I get why they wanted this to feel heartwarming that ML is so sweet too) but they should've addressed it properly ang got facts straight to keep accuracy as this can be offending. But the story between everyone here is grat overall though if you watch throughout, though the dramatic parts do have give a headache but eventually it passes.

Acting or Cast
Watched this after I watched Lee Sungkyung on Weightlifting fairy. I became a fan of her acting so I was lisiting down her filmography at this point and this drama happened to be the 2nd one I watched from hers! Loved her character, honestly Oh Hanbyul are types of characters I really admire. You won't be disappointed from her here, she's just that amazing.

For Gong Taesung, I only saw him in Extraordinary you and I know his character is not that complex there. But him in shooting stars was a refreshing take. Not many may agree, but I enjoyed the comedic acting he did here. I would say he really acted to how Gong Taesung is.

For the chemistry between them too, I would say 10/10. Loved it. Their banter was funny, the way they are concern for one another, and the tension was great. I loved how there was a lot of foreshadowing in their scenes together so it makes it funny yet very sweet. Yeah I just thought maybe them as a ex-couple would've been more intriguing but just them being friends ever since was still sweet and light so it was fine with me anyways. The scenes get sweeter so it wasn't a disappointment lol.

There were a lot of supporting characters that are very familiar in different projects and lots of cameos as well. I would say there's two halves in this. First half made the scenes funny and very cute. Second half, stressful but I guess it just gets better, and this half explains why ML and FL can struggle at some parts of the plot. As mentioned, there's a lot of romance, so you can expect it a lot from the supporting cast as well.

Music
This drama only had a few main OSTs but had a lot of instrumental soundtracks that uplisted the drama's vibes to be more lively. But I enjoyed it. Lots of the songs come off in different vibes. One is exciting to showcase the drama's main concept, one showcases the refreshing vibes, one is just yearning, and the other is more emotional. Loved the one from Sondia and Vincent Blue though, it showcases the relationship between the characters that it just hits.

Now, Rewatch Value
I would say it's rewatch value is high I actually rewatched this a few times over the past years. I was in a slump so I ust came back to dramas who had good vibes like this. I would say this is still enjoyable despite many repeats.

Overall, it's just that good. It's lovely and a very sweet story. Nothing way too dramatic but there's parts that aches. It's still pretty good and would say these are one of the good romcoms out there if you just want a simple watch especially if you're also interested in the industry they based from. It's not maybe the most intriguing in the beginning but it gets real better from there. Would recommend this.
