The perfect light romance drama
This had everything I look for in a cheesy drama. WARNING if you don’t like romcom and light drama this isn’t for you. I picked it wanting to watch a silly drama to relax after work. This tv show had the perfect balance of plot and humour in my opinion. Some serious topic are included in the show while not monopolizing the whole plot. the main couple AND the side couples all had really different dynamics which made it not repetitive and interesting. Most episodes had me giggling and smiling. The cast is also all really pretty and played well in my opinion. Was this review helpful to you?
if a romcom Kdrama was written by Fanfiction Writers
not much of a “story”, but it’s an all around fluffy, hilarious, enjoyable time-Side Couples/Characters are done so well, you’ll care about them equally as much as ML/FL
-Perfect Cast
-ML becomes clingy, adorable puppy
-Kim Young Dae made this drama for me!!
-many Hilarious, Lovable Bromances
-Love the Dynamic & Progression between FL/ML (Friends to Enemies to Lovers in a way???)
-Entertainment industry setting makes this very compelling
-Would Definitely Rewatch
Complaints/Critiques:
-Huge increase of Angst late in the drama was a dramatic tone shift that felt very off-putting
-Kept relying on random angsty sub plots or unconvincing villains to propel the story
-Suffered from dropping in quality after ML & FL get together (not enough to stop watching though)
-I wish the angst of ML & FL’s past together was a little more emphasized and addressed (That was the angst I actually cared about!)

Smiling with every episode!
I was giving up because of these awful reviews, but I gave it a chance and no regrets! It has been so many funny moments i couldn't stop watching it. It is a relaxing story without many kdrama expectations. I can say it is the funniest of this year 2022, much better than the overrated BP.I watched all episodes one after the other because I wanted it to happen soon. Lol! then i remember it is a kdrama so kissing wont happen before the final episode. Of course you will find so many drama cliches. Give it a chance and enjoy it.

I honestly think this is one of the best dramas
its had been very long since I was trying to find a good romance comedy drama. and I came across sh**ting stars. I promise you except wait for the episodes nothing abt this drama sucks. the acting is phenomenal. the story line is yes similar to alot of other k dramas but I think that's why I watch most of the k dramas too be swept of the feet with the tension, the romance, the wait for them to kiss and hold hands. and this k drama gives me all of that . every Friday and saturday I cannot wait for the episodes to come. Was this review helpful to you?

It's the perfect combination of romance, comedy & a little bit of suspense (from ep 7)
The story goes around two college friends who met at a movie theater by chance. They both get attracted towards each other. And then came to knew that they are in same college. And futher they became colleagues as an Actor (Ging Tae Sung) & PR team head (Oh han Byul). And later realised their feelings for each other. I started this drama for Kim Young Dae (Gong Tae Sung) and ended up falling for Lee Jung Shin (Do Soo Hyuk) But after watching episode 7 & 8 you will be curious about the lady who makes food for Gong Tae Sung. Cause I'm really curious about her. Who's she? Why she always add extra salt in Gong Tae Sung's food? Why she went to store and bougth the limited edition watch? And why Gong Tae Sung mom is afraid of her?Was this review helpful to you?
Very Boring
Come from the actress off weightlifting fairy, this is quite the disappointment. This show is very slow and is very boring, with the amount of boring scenes this could just be a bunch of fillers mashed together. With having such a great actress start this is totally wasted talent. I haven't seen such a boring show in a while, but this one is just cliché boring I wouldn't recommend to watch this one. If they were to redo the story and talk more about supporting the characters then it would be better, the story is all over the place and bland. Was this review helpful to you?
A Slow-Burn Romance Done Right
Shooting Stars really had me hooked from start to finish. I honestly didn’t expect this drama to become one of my top-rated shows, but it truly exceeded my expectations. The plot is great, and the storytelling from beginning to end is absolutely amazing. It also has a slow-burn romance between the main leads, which I really enjoyed — something that many other K-dramas don’t do as well.I also want to highlight how refreshing it was that this drama doesn’t rely on a main antagonist or overly villainous characters, which most K-dramas tend to have. Instead, the story focuses on the characters’ lives, careers, and relationships. I love that it didn’t center solely on Lee Sung-kyung and Kim Young-dae. The other main characters had their own arcs, their own issues, and their own meaningful moments.
There’s also an overflowing amount of chemistry between the leads, and I absolutely loved watching their interactions. I’ve been watching K-dramas for years, but I never really realized how challenging it must be to work behind the scenes until this drama showed it. Seeing what actually happens off-camera — how actors handle their schedules, how PR teams deal with crises, and how staff members manage every little issue — made me appreciate the industry even more. I learned that being a manager is incredibly demanding, from scouting talent to guiding them into becoming successful actors.
For me, the whole concept felt fresh and new, and it made me want to binge the series in one sitting. There were no boring episodes, and I loved that it had a perfect blend of romance and comedy.
As for the acting, Lee Sung-kyung was exceptional. Her cute reactions reminded me so much of her role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, which I absolutely adore. This kind of soft romantic drama suits her so well. She was stunning in every outfit — truly slaying every look.
Kim Young-dae, on the other hand, genuinely surprised me. I wasn’t a fan of his acting in Extraordinary You, and I was honestly hesitant to watch this drama because of him. BUT this drama completely changed my impression. I got to see a different side of him — better expressions, stronger delivery, and a completely new charm. I found myself laughing in almost every episode because of him, and he made the show even more entertaining. Thanks to him, there wasn’t a single dull moment.
The rest of the cast also did an amazing job. Their performances brought their characters to life, especially the actors and actresses portrayed within the drama’s storyline. They added so much depth and humor to the show.
And before anything else, I have to give a special mention to Yuna’s manager with his iconic line:
“Yuuuunaaa yaaahhh!”
I swear I will never forget that.

Loved every minute of this!
A love story between a top star and the PR team leader of his management agency. This totally chaotic couple captured my heart. OhEmGee - they’re hilarious! I thoroughly enjoyed watching their crazy antics & banter as they grew from frenemies to lovers.
The ML { Kim Young Dae } is this big star with a real cool & suave vibe, always appearing very confident. But he proves that the persona we show the public isn’t always our true selves. When not in “work mode” he’s much more innocent & a bit dorky, though not many get to see it since he’s learned to hold himself back out of self preservation due to past trauma & a need to protect his secrets. But after returning to Korea & being back in the FL’s presence, then realizing his feelings for her, he begins to open up & allow more people to get close, which is so delightful to watch. And the pure way he loves the FL made my heart flutter so much! His efforts to woo her are so hilarious & heart warming. I just love him! (+ him & his manager/driver are so fun!)
The FL { Lee Sung Kyung } is such a great character. Loyal & hard working, she does everything she can to protect each “star” their PR firm manages. They failed to protect someone before &, in the aftermath, she devotes herself to never losing someone again, sometimes at the expense of herself. She has such a beautiful heart, but a misunderstanding skewed her opinion of the ML. She liked him years ago but that incident left her wary of falling for him again. But he eventually wins her heart & I was so there for the journey! I love how fierce she was in her desire to protect him, even when they were “enemies”. She’s always known him better than anyone, so seeing them finally get together & just how much more protective she becomes of him… total girl crush happening here!
They’re one of my favorite brain-cleanse couples from any drama trauma. Their chemistry is so natural & tingles inducing, while their kisses make me melt. 🔥🫠
Bonus - there is NO toxicity except the villains. AND there’s 4 more healthy love stories! I highly recommend this if you like rom-coms where the only “drama” is the good kind. 💜🩵

Surprisingly Satisfying... ?
I went into watching this drama having low expectations but I finished it feeling nicely satisfied. It was nothing mind blowing and it wasn't a drama that will have a lasting impact on me. When I think about the best dramas I've watched this certainly won't come to my mind, HOWEVER as an easy watch to view between dramas that are more on the gritty side it's very good!
The thing that makes this drama the most is the side characters. The main couple are great don't get me wrong, but if it wasn't for the rest of the cast it would've been very dull. It was fun to see all the couples get together and for friendships to form.
I did enjoy Gong Tae Sung's character, it was enjoyable to have a ml with a personality more on the silly side. As a result the humor in the drama was actually funny.
Overall a good drama to watch when you don't want to concentrate too hard but nothing really extraordinary.

Too cliché, too many plotholes.
Even though there was a build-up at the start, showing the friendship/ relationship between the two mc, I still don't feel there was chemistry between them. It's tough to watch the number of plotholes in this drama. There was no need for the absurd number of relationships in the drama. The couple which I fell wholeheartedly were Sojin and Jungshin. They were too cute. Jonghoon and Yoonhye's relationship was just Nah. Everything felt too rushed. WAY TOO MANY HUGS AND it's just too much I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For real. Was this review helpful to you?
Too bad I can't give more than 10 stars ⭐️
I found this drama really good, not only because of the story which is excellently developed by the actors but especially because of the way the dramas are made! I watched the first episode and was immediately captivated by the series which I recommend to everyone! Both main actors have charisma and chemistry, they work well together and it shows!
Kim Young - Dae is great as always, but in this drama he has outdone himself. I think I will watch Sh**ting Star again for it really deserves it!
Too bad I can't give more than 10 stars ⭐️
