Having known each other for a decade, Nation's boyfriend Tae Sung and Hot Shot PR Manager Han Byeol are constantly at each other's throats through a series of misunderstandings. Their rivalry is widely-known and some figured it was mostly due to unrealized sexual tension and rumours about "are they/aren't they dating" are circling throughout the company.
I didn't realize that Han Byeol is being portrayed by the same woman in Weightlifting Fairy and she is so much better here (maybe because of the bad hair in the latter) and Kim Young Dae is adorable as the love-sick Tae Sung who belatedly realized his feelings for his nemesis. It was so fun and a hoot to watch this show and it certainly is a must-watch.

Good Old Fashioned K Drama
This drama was my first introduction to Lee Sung Kyung, although I definitely confused her and Suzy in the past. lol I really liked the actress and her character. This was also my first intro to Kim Young Dae and I found him and his character really charming despite being a little obnoxious at times.I will say this drama really became a favorite after the introduction of the bumbling assistant Byun Jung Yeol (Jin Ho Eun) and especially after he and Gong Tae Sun (Kim Young Dae) develop that sweet friendship/work relationship. The shoe-tying montage being a favorite. lol
I'd definitely watch it again.

An unexpected good drama
I really had no expectations for this Show and even that I only watched a few clips before starting to watch the whole drama it ended pretty good.I just love the perspective of the show. From having crazy fans to having no private life, everything of these things you can also see in the entertainment industry. To see the work of the PR team and the struggles was also interesting.
But besides that, I love the chemistry between the leads and the friendship is fantastic among the characters.
Funny moments are also included.

One of the most boring k dramas with an incredible cast
Most of you will have tuned in to this show because of the FL. She's still Weightlifting Fairy in our eyes. Sadly, you shouldn't expect the same kind of magic with this drama. There is virtually no chemistry between the leads. Absolutely none. There are numerous support roles and so many of them find love near the end of the series. Every single one of them, despite some of them being boring themselves or having limited screen time, still manage to have more synergy than the leads. It's bizarre, especially because I'm a huge fan of the FL.That aside, that isn't even the biggest problem. It's the format of the story. Rather than simple coherency, the plot revolves around a love/hate relationship between the leads that is told through different timelines. The problem is that the episodes and scenes jump between different time stamps with very little acknowledgment that it does so. Only when they did a flashback to their time in the same university did I really understand what was going on. Other times I couldn't for the life of me tell if it was the present or the past. I don't know why the writers chose this format. Never confuse your audience. I thought maybe the subtitles weren't working so I watched some episodes again on a different network and it was virtually the same. So the episodes never let you know when they dive into the past. Even if you watch closely, it's really hard to understand just what the heck is going on.
The problems continue when they change the timeline of events. The ML goes on a trip to Africa for a year in the beginning. He's been away from the woman he loves (even though he treats her like dirt) for a long time. In a flashback scene, we find that it's because he was arguing with his head of PR, who just so happens to walk in front of the press while doing so. And the head of the PR is none other than the female lead. Several episodes later, they literally retcon the Africa trip explanation and reveal that it was actually because of his close friend who committed suicide. This person was also a rising actor who was extremely integral to the characters, but the backstory is so flimsy that it's hard to feel the sentiment we're expected to feel.
Not done confusing the audience, another scene happens that explains that all three of them were close. Both the leads and this mysterious actor who passed away early on. Why does that matter? Because based on the timeline of events, the male lead had actually been avoiding the FL lead throughout this timeline. He admits it himself and saying that he never really had friends or dated, so being mean to her was the only reasonable reaction at the time. Again this doesn't explain how the three of them were so close in that scene. So if you're as confused as I am reading this review, imagine watching it.
I'll try to be positive though. The show does explore the harmful effects of the media and the expectations of celebrities living careful lives. They touch on hateful fans, prejudice, and harassment. All of that is fine, but it's a very cookie-cutter version of what could and does happen in reality. It plays it safe, and the show suffers losing what could have been a wonderful topic that addresses the serious matters and the harmful effects on Korean society.
In the end, the producers and the writers decided to avoid a serious drama. And we are left with a light-hearted comedy that never hits its stride. The last 4 episodes were exhausting to get through. And trust me, most of you will feel the same. But if you still see the FL as Weightlifting Fairy and you enjoy seeing her regardless, you might just find something worthwhile here. Sadly, you'd be better off watching almost anything else.

good kdrama to watch if you want romcom
I honestly don't know what to say much. But firstly, let me describe the context.
Ok so the female character, Oh Han-byul, is the head of the PR team which works for an entertainment called starforce, if I'm not mistaken. And the top star of the company / entertainment is the male lead, Gong Tae-sung. So basically the lead characters had a past between them. They were friends or maybe even more than that. Some things happened and that brings us to the present.
I would say that in the present, they continued to bicker around. It was a perfect comedy for the viewers. Despite of that, their feelings start to develop of course. But OF COURSE THERE WILL BE SO MUCH SLOWBURN ^^. I like slowburn so it was really good for me. How they hide their feelings but also try to be with one another, how there were little jealousies. I like it so much HAHAHA.
This kdrama showed a lot of problems especially that the lead characters are in an entertainment company. So we can see in the show how people are treated in the company, how staffs work, and how idols have their own lives and stories. The kdrama also shows some parts about the media, stalkers, and many more. It is close to the reality of the world of media and entertainment.
I think a lesson that we can get from this is that there are many more things that happen behind the cameras. In the entertainment industry, idols and stars can be treated horribly or not. They have many secrets, but most importantly, they have their own lives too. Fans should always respect them like a real person too. And we should not also pretend that we know everything about them. This kdrama shows that our idols can experience depression and some are even treated horribly which causes mental issues or even de@th to the idols / stars. The drama also shows that sometimes, companies tend to hide the truth. And lastly, it shows how hard staffs work in an entertainment company.
So something I didn't like is sometimes scenes gets boring because there were only a few hooks. But the plot made me continue the kdrama. I think that's all.
Things that I like in the drama:
-The story showed a lot of back stories and secrets and it actually made me cry sometimes HAHA. I liked how the story evolved
- The acting was great, tho I think it needs improvement, just a little.
- It showed a lot of problems in the entertainment industry so it really gave me so much lessons.
-The main couple and side couples were also great. They really gave me that type of fluff romance.
- The comedy was chef's kiss. The kdrama realy made me laugh a lot.
- The background stories of the characters made me understand them more.
- It was a happy ending so yeah I liked it since I cried too much in the past because of kdramas that had sad endings T_T
I think that's all I have to say. I recommend y'all to watch it :))

ahem! i have arisen.
i wasn't really planning on binging anything for the time being, but the title seemed to have called my name successfully while i was scrolling through netflix. one of my friends recommended it to me a while ago, but like always, i never watch shit that people tell me to. oops.anyway....this was fine! it took me less than a week to finish it, which is usually a good sign. although the chemistry between the two main leads wasn't really felt by me, i think that the plot made up for it. it was, of course, overflowing with a bunch of clichés, but it was quite engaging. it's sort of like a roller-coaster, because they just keep throwing new twists at you without properly addressing the previous. there was a poor addition of trauma to the main lead, kang tae-sung, & i think the drama would've done better without it. or maybe, they could've done a better job at writing that particular arc.
oh well, it doesn't matter. i really liked the second dynamic that we have in this drama, between yu-seong & ho-young. they were, at times, the sole reason as to why i clicked on the next episode with expectations. they could've gotten more screen-time tbh.
it was really fun, all in all. watch it if you want something fun & lighthearted.

Refreshing, non-cliche, romantic comedy, yet very touching, great acting, great side characters
Being an avid watcher of romantic comedy dramas I know it is extremely hard to come up with great romantic comedy dramas, where story, acting, supporting characters, music, jokes everything come together and create magic. This drama is simply magic. What's is more interesting is that there are certain plot twists that you can never imagine and was portrayed very subtly.
The male lead was very refreshing, the chemistry between the main couple was so good and so natural, I cannot remember the last time I saw this much of a great couple in kdrama for the last few years.
Loved the music, the other characters were not so unimportant in this drama, in fact this drama was about all the characters coming together to make this great show. It had one of the best heart touching moments where I teared up, some dialogues I will always remember. Loved other couples here as well!!

Loved the Story
I really enjoyed this. It was light and fresh and love that they wrapped up all the characters. The only thing I wish it did was show them on the front page of the paper or when it went public. But, overall I liked the story and the friendship among the girls and how the men got along. I found it entertaining and not drawn out. Loved the FL first time I saw her in something and enjoyed the other actors as well including the ML. Love how Asian dramas always show the cast well dressed. Was this review helpful to you?

A cute drama where the side couples are cuter
I really liked this drama it was cute, but I felt there was a few storylines we could’ve got for the main couple that would’ve let me like them more. Their build up and tension was so cute but I was much more interested in the side couples. I really wish we got to see the acting couple just a bit more and see seunghyub and the fangirl get together. I loved the or team and how close “everybody” in the company was. It wa a fun watch definitely recommend. Was this review helpful to you?

Daily life of workers in entertainment industry that's really fun!
I watch it for the romance only, but I get much more than that!-The romance itself (not just the main couple, but also the other 2 couples) is really good. However, the one that steals my heart is the Manager-Manager couple <3 Kang Yu-seong steals my heart right from the start. He has good chemistry with EVERYONE (as co-worker, senior, friend, what else…). His smile is charismatic and warm. He takes care of everyone, he’s that reliable. “He deserves a good love story here”, I wondered from the start. And yes, luckily his love story indeed meets my satisfaction. The main couple is also good and funny. Yeah sometimes they act foolishly, childish, but it’s a romcom, so it’s just fun for me. They also maintain a good relationship til the end. In conclusion, overall the love story of the 3 couples is built smoothly, naturally, gradually, which is good.
- Almost every character is likable. Almost every scene is worth watching. Many scenes are also effortlessly hilarious.
- The problems aren’t that stressful. It’s good that they don’t make the problems draggy thru the show. It is definitely an entertaining, fun, light drama.
- A light drama sometimes can be a miss, like, it’s not that intriguing. But this one is surely a hit for me. I finished it in just 5 days.

Enjoyable stupid rom-com drama!
You can arguably divide this drama into 2 parts: The first half of the show which centers around the romance and the second half which centers around the industry. The first half was more enjoyable for me but I was still entertained by the second part.To be honest despite its flaws, I still had a fun time with this drama. It's a simple lighthearted k-drama that don't take to much energy from you. Down below I'll go into some pros and cons with the drama!Pros:
- Likable characters; Tbh both the main leads could easily have turned annoying for me but they never did. Prior to watching this show, I've heard negative things about Kim Young daes acting but I think he did a decent job here at least. And Lee Sung kyung is Lee Sung kyung, she's always good.
- Genuinely funny at times. it's pretty rare that I find k-dramas funny, probably because the comedy gets lost in the translation, but I actually laughed a few times during the show.
- It's just fun ok? Like thats it, it's a fun and lighthearted show which is exactly what I needed when watching it.
Cons:
- Pointless villains: Non of the "villains" in the show had a believable motive. It felt forced into the script just to have some conflict and fill out the episodes.
- Maybe one-too many couples and characters: There where times in the show where I was just like "what is the purpose of this couple/character?". I was tbh only invested in one of the side couples and could do without with the rest, as they didn't add anything to the plot or overall enjoyment of the show.
- Could have been a few episodes shorter: It dragged a bit by the end with all the different "villain" story arcs, got boring.
- To wrap it up: The plot is pretty badly written and presented. Don't watch this if you're looking for a masterpiece is writing and directing.

This drama is so sweet.
Sh**ting Stars This drama is so sweet. You can't help but fall in love with this couple. When they are together my heart warms. The mystery of the housekeeper was something that intrigued me a lot and I confess that I was very anxious, I couldn't wait for her to be unmasked and for us to become aware of the reason for her actions. She is pure disgust. Inhaca.... The soulless mother also hurt my heart. As was no small feat, an envious and cruel enemy appears. Let's have a heart! There are so many wonderful oppas in this drama that it makes it difficult to be faithful to just one. What a splendid lawyer, in every way, the cute manager, the newbies........ It's a cute, light, relaxed drama, where situations happen and are quickly resolved. There is no messing around. It's great to see the unity of co-workers and their commitment to carrying out their tasks. Friendship, companionship, affection, respect, professionalism, all of this and much more we can appreciate in this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
