Made me a fan of Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae
This is a drama I can watch over and over because I loved it so much. There is a part in one of the episode that I have never laughed so hard in my life, Lee Sung Kyung great actress and one of my favorites. The two main leads were wonderful. If you are looking for a feel good, and make me laugh comedy this drama is for you. Thank you director Lee Soo Hyun for making such a great drama, and also all those who participated. A must watch drama. Was this review helpful to you?
“The story of all sorts of people who clean up stars' messes.”
Except for the ugly representation of Africa in Episode 1, this was honestly such a good watch! I started this without any expectations and only for some laughs — but it turned out way better that it's now one of my favorites! I was actually scared at putting my positive review here because the rating is so low, but trust me, watch it if you haven't yet, you won't regret it! The first three episodes will get you hooked, and the rest will make you stay.I genuinely thought it was just a silly romcom about an actor and a staff who hates each other because she accidentally made a typo in an article about him, kinda like enemies to lovers, but it was actually more than that. They got together quite quickly and we were only halfway through the show so I was hesitant about continuing, but I'm so glad that I didn't drop it. Everything about this series was well-executed and problems were not dragged for a long time. There were also a few twists that would keep you at the edge of your seat. The drama tackled potential issues that not only actors experience, but those whom they work with as well in the entertainment industry.
It was a perfect balance of everything.
Things I loved about it:
i. Five side couples with different tropes! Honestly, some of them were unexpected but all of them were so cute.
ii. LEE SUNG KYUNG !!! her chemistry with young dae was amazing :') honestly put her beside any man and i can already see the vision
iii. OSTs! Amazing songs!
iv. The few twists
v. The side characters also did such amazing job that sometimes they outshine the main leads!
vi. The cute epilogue in each episode! The epilogue in episode 2 was my favorite!
Again, worth-watching!

It's just too good.
I'll just get into the review straight up and try my best not to spoil too much so here we go!Story
It was great. Male lead is a top actor while Female lead is a PR team leader at the company he's signed in. They were both classmates in the same department in college and in a way formed a friendship where they enjoyed each other's company but also bickered from time to time. I mean I liked it but when I first watched it and (I misunderstood it during like ep.2 or 3 that I thought they were an ex-couple) I thought it would be more intriguing in a way if they had that trope. It would explain their bickering more and the tension between them too. Since I was just plain confused why he just keeps teasing her even though he'll mention the reasons, I feel like that trope would've worked well. But either way it was still good. Supporting characters made the drama cute and the others dramatic. This is just full on hyper-realism with how they just do their jobs and live their lives but with romance being highlighted since there's a lot in here. Of course there were some details that could've been addressed better like the beginning of the drama (I get why they wanted this to feel heartwarming that ML is so sweet too) but they should've addressed it properly ang got facts straight to keep accuracy as this can be offending. But the story between everyone here is grat overall though if you watch throughout, though the dramatic parts do have give a headache but eventually it passes.
Acting or Cast
Watched this after I watched Lee Sungkyung on Weightlifting fairy. I became a fan of her acting so I was lisiting down her filmography at this point and this drama happened to be the 2nd one I watched from hers! Loved her character, honestly Oh Hanbyul are types of characters I really admire. You won't be disappointed from her here, she's just that amazing.
For Gong Taesung, I only saw him in Extraordinary you and I know his character is not that complex there. But him in shooting stars was a refreshing take. Not many may agree, but I enjoyed the comedic acting he did here. I would say he really acted to how Gong Taesung is.
For the chemistry between them too, I would say 10/10. Loved it. Their banter was funny, the way they are concern for one another, and the tension was great. I loved how there was a lot of foreshadowing in their scenes together so it makes it funny yet very sweet. Yeah I just thought maybe them as a ex-couple would've been more intriguing but just them being friends ever since was still sweet and light so it was fine with me anyways. The scenes get sweeter so it wasn't a disappointment lol.
There were a lot of supporting characters that are very familiar in different projects and lots of cameos as well. I would say there's two halves in this. First half made the scenes funny and very cute. Second half, stressful but I guess it just gets better, and this half explains why ML and FL can struggle at some parts of the plot. As mentioned, there's a lot of romance, so you can expect it a lot from the supporting cast as well.
Music
This drama only had a few main OSTs but had a lot of instrumental soundtracks that uplisted the drama's vibes to be more lively. But I enjoyed it. Lots of the songs come off in different vibes. One is exciting to showcase the drama's main concept, one showcases the refreshing vibes, one is just yearning, and the other is more emotional. Loved the one from Sondia and Vincent Blue though, it showcases the relationship between the characters that it just hits.
Now, Rewatch Value
I would say it's rewatch value is high I actually rewatched this a few times over the past years. I was in a slump so I ust came back to dramas who had good vibes like this. I would say this is still enjoyable despite many repeats.
Overall, it's just that good. It's lovely and a very sweet story. Nothing way too dramatic but there's parts that aches. It's still pretty good and would say these are one of the good romcoms out there if you just want a simple watch especially if you're also interested in the industry they based from. It's not maybe the most intriguing in the beginning but it gets real better from there. Would recommend this.

Having known each other for a decade, Nation's boyfriend Tae Sung and Hot Shot PR Manager Han Byeol are constantly at each other's throats through a series of misunderstandings. Their rivalry is widely-known and some figured it was mostly due to unrealized sexual tension and rumours about "are they/aren't they dating" are circling throughout the company.
I didn't realize that Han Byeol is being portrayed by the same woman in Weightlifting Fairy and she is so much better here (maybe because of the bad hair in the latter) and Kim Young Dae is adorable as the love-sick Tae Sung who belatedly realized his feelings for his nemesis. It was so fun and a hoot to watch this show and it certainly is a must-watch.

Good Old Fashioned K Drama
This drama was my first introduction to Lee Sung Kyung, although I definitely confused her and Suzy in the past. lol I really liked the actress and her character. This was also my first intro to Kim Young Dae and I found him and his character really charming despite being a little obnoxious at times.I will say this drama really became a favorite after the introduction of the bumbling assistant Byun Jung Yeol (Jin Ho Eun) and especially after he and Gong Tae Sun (Kim Young Dae) develop that sweet friendship/work relationship. The shoe-tying montage being a favorite. lol
I'd definitely watch it again.

An unexpected good drama
I really had no expectations for this Show and even that I only watched a few clips before starting to watch the whole drama it ended pretty good.I just love the perspective of the show. From having crazy fans to having no private life, everything of these things you can also see in the entertainment industry. To see the work of the PR team and the struggles was also interesting.
But besides that, I love the chemistry between the leads and the friendship is fantastic among the characters.
Funny moments are also included.

One of the most boring k dramas with an incredible cast
Most of you will have tuned in to this show because of the FL. She's still Weightlifting Fairy in our eyes. Sadly, you shouldn't expect the same kind of magic with this drama. There is virtually no chemistry between the leads. Absolutely none. There are numerous support roles and so many of them find love near the end of the series. Every single one of them, despite some of them being boring themselves or having limited screen time, still manage to have more synergy than the leads. It's bizarre, especially because I'm a huge fan of the FL.That aside, that isn't even the biggest problem. It's the format of the story. Rather than simple coherency, the plot revolves around a love/hate relationship between the leads that is told through different timelines. The problem is that the episodes and scenes jump between different time stamps with very little acknowledgment that it does so. Only when they did a flashback to their time in the same university did I really understand what was going on. Other times I couldn't for the life of me tell if it was the present or the past. I don't know why the writers chose this format. Never confuse your audience. I thought maybe the subtitles weren't working so I watched some episodes again on a different network and it was virtually the same. So the episodes never let you know when they dive into the past. Even if you watch closely, it's really hard to understand just what the heck is going on.
The problems continue when they change the timeline of events. The ML goes on a trip to Africa for a year in the beginning. He's been away from the woman he loves (even though he treats her like dirt) for a long time. In a flashback scene, we find that it's because he was arguing with his head of PR, who just so happens to walk in front of the press while doing so. And the head of the PR is none other than the female lead. Several episodes later, they literally retcon the Africa trip explanation and reveal that it was actually because of his close friend who committed suicide. This person was also a rising actor who was extremely integral to the characters, but the backstory is so flimsy that it's hard to feel the sentiment we're expected to feel.
Not done confusing the audience, another scene happens that explains that all three of them were close. Both the leads and this mysterious actor who passed away early on. Why does that matter? Because based on the timeline of events, the male lead had actually been avoiding the FL lead throughout this timeline. He admits it himself and saying that he never really had friends or dated, so being mean to her was the only reasonable reaction at the time. Again this doesn't explain how the three of them were so close in that scene. So if you're as confused as I am reading this review, imagine watching it.
I'll try to be positive though. The show does explore the harmful effects of the media and the expectations of celebrities living careful lives. They touch on hateful fans, prejudice, and harassment. All of that is fine, but it's a very cookie-cutter version of what could and does happen in reality. It plays it safe, and the show suffers losing what could have been a wonderful topic that addresses the serious matters and the harmful effects on Korean society.
In the end, the producers and the writers decided to avoid a serious drama. And we are left with a light-hearted comedy that never hits its stride. The last 4 episodes were exhausting to get through. And trust me, most of you will feel the same. But if you still see the FL as Weightlifting Fairy and you enjoy seeing her regardless, you might just find something worthwhile here. Sadly, you'd be better off watching almost anything else.

It’s cute
Overall I really liked this drama, plot was nice and touched on serious situations regarding celebrities which is refreshing to see (hopefully those landed for a couple parasocialarsers)Kinda annoys me that even though they have known eachother for 10 years she seems to still not know him and let herself be bothered by what that crazy rich woman told her, like fr? The man is crearly head over heels for her and she still doubts it. If her worries were about his fame and how ppl would react to them beign together I get it, but she’s doubting his love for her? Also, every time they kissed and stuff felt kinda awkward like I get wanting to be cutesy but they are grown ppl.
Despite this lol, I really enjoyed this romcom and all of the couples were so cute and overall think the storyline was good. The last eps did feel a bit rushed but it was okay.
Honestly will probably rewatch it, I liked it!

good kdrama to watch if you want romcom
I honestly don't know what to say much. But firstly, let me describe the context.
Ok so the female character, Oh Han-byul, is the head of the PR team which works for an entertainment called starforce, if I'm not mistaken. And the top star of the company / entertainment is the male lead, Gong Tae-sung. So basically the lead characters had a past between them. They were friends or maybe even more than that. Some things happened and that brings us to the present.
I would say that in the present, they continued to bicker around. It was a perfect comedy for the viewers. Despite of that, their feelings start to develop of course. But OF COURSE THERE WILL BE SO MUCH SLOWBURN ^^. I like slowburn so it was really good for me. How they hide their feelings but also try to be with one another, how there were little jealousies. I like it so much HAHAHA.
This kdrama showed a lot of problems especially that the lead characters are in an entertainment company. So we can see in the show how people are treated in the company, how staffs work, and how idols have their own lives and stories. The kdrama also shows some parts about the media, stalkers, and many more. It is close to the reality of the world of media and entertainment.
I think a lesson that we can get from this is that there are many more things that happen behind the cameras. In the entertainment industry, idols and stars can be treated horribly or not. They have many secrets, but most importantly, they have their own lives too. Fans should always respect them like a real person too. And we should not also pretend that we know everything about them. This kdrama shows that our idols can experience depression and some are even treated horribly which causes mental issues or even de@th to the idols / stars. The drama also shows that sometimes, companies tend to hide the truth. And lastly, it shows how hard staffs work in an entertainment company.
So something I didn't like is sometimes scenes gets boring because there were only a few hooks. But the plot made me continue the kdrama. I think that's all.
Things that I like in the drama:
-The story showed a lot of back stories and secrets and it actually made me cry sometimes HAHA. I liked how the story evolved
- The acting was great, tho I think it needs improvement, just a little.
- It showed a lot of problems in the entertainment industry so it really gave me so much lessons.
-The main couple and side couples were also great. They really gave me that type of fluff romance.
- The comedy was chef's kiss. The kdrama realy made me laugh a lot.
- The background stories of the characters made me understand them more.
- It was a happy ending so yeah I liked it since I cried too much in the past because of kdramas that had sad endings T_T
I think that's all I have to say. I recommend y'all to watch it :))

ahem! i have arisen.
i wasn't really planning on binging anything for the time being, but the title seemed to have called my name successfully while i was scrolling through netflix. one of my friends recommended it to me a while ago, but like always, i never watch shit that people tell me to. oops.anyway....this was fine! it took me less than a week to finish it, which is usually a good sign. although the chemistry between the two main leads wasn't really felt by me, i think that the plot made up for it. it was, of course, overflowing with a bunch of clichés, but it was quite engaging. it's sort of like a roller-coaster, because they just keep throwing new twists at you without properly addressing the previous. there was a poor addition of trauma to the main lead, kang tae-sung, & i think the drama would've done better without it. or maybe, they could've done a better job at writing that particular arc.
oh well, it doesn't matter. i really liked the second dynamic that we have in this drama, between yu-seong & ho-young. they were, at times, the sole reason as to why i clicked on the next episode with expectations. they could've gotten more screen-time tbh.
it was really fun, all in all. watch it if you want something fun & lighthearted.

Refreshing, non-cliche, romantic comedy, yet very touching, great acting, great side characters
Being an avid watcher of romantic comedy dramas I know it is extremely hard to come up with great romantic comedy dramas, where story, acting, supporting characters, music, jokes everything come together and create magic. This drama is simply magic. What's is more interesting is that there are certain plot twists that you can never imagine and was portrayed very subtly.
The male lead was very refreshing, the chemistry between the main couple was so good and so natural, I cannot remember the last time I saw this much of a great couple in kdrama for the last few years.
Loved the music, the other characters were not so unimportant in this drama, in fact this drama was about all the characters coming together to make this great show. It had one of the best heart touching moments where I teared up, some dialogues I will always remember. Loved other couples here as well!!

Loved the Story
I really enjoyed this. It was light and fresh and love that they wrapped up all the characters. The only thing I wish it did was show them on the front page of the paper or when it went public. But, overall I liked the story and the friendship among the girls and how the men got along. I found it entertaining and not drawn out. Loved the FL first time I saw her in something and enjoyed the other actors as well including the ML. Love how Asian dramas always show the cast well dressed. Was this review helpful to you?
