Expected More

I think this show started off really good and with this cast I expected a fantastic show, like the actors they got in this?? Incredible! But the story fell short, the second half of the show was dragging the story so much it became so repetitive. It was Good Boy getting beat up, bad guy running away, planning to catch him again, then Good Boy getting beat up…the story had so much potential but they dulled it up in the end.
Also, wished we didn’t know who the bad guy was until the last episodes like he was a seemingly normal dude so could’ve added so much more suspense to the story if we didn’t know it was him.
And the romance…I don’t agree with those that say the romance didn’t have a place in the story because it did, it was just so awkward from the FL. The ML was really going for it with the kisses and how much he liked her but she was not giving him the same energy at all, the kiss scenes made me cringe so much like Bogum was giving it for those kisses and she seemed so uncomfortable with it, it lacked a lot they could’ve made a really nice love story it’s a shame.
In conclusion, I think it’s worth the watch (if you like/stand the bast amount of violence) but it does leave you with a bittersweet feeling, the cast is so incredible but the story didn’t match to their level.

What is the FL acting?

The one thing that I hated the most about this drama was Nana’s acting, I would’ve given it a way higher rating if the FL was another actress. Her acting is so mediocre, like I get it she’s beautiful but is that enough to be a FL in a drama? She has 2 facial expressions in her repertoire, a creepy smile and mouth open soulless eyes. She never truly conveyed with her face the things she said, everything felt flat and insincere with her, I almost dropped this drama because I couldn’t stand how bad her acting is.

Now about he actual story…I like the premise but there were so many plot holes and the pace was kinda messy left with a lot of questions. I usually get annoyed with the romcoms that have that “we knew each other in a past life/when we were children” type of storyline but in this one I found it so endearing how they kept finding each other in every life time she had, it’s so cute.

I wanted to see more of the story around the serial killer, we know right at the end who he is but wanted to see how did he hid that from his wife? Did he ever get to know the FL when she was at the orphanage? Was he part of their lives 500 years prior as well? How did he know these women he killed? Who was helping him? How did he get into the prison? How did he know all the suspects and when the police interviewed them? Like his story was lacking a lot, the story was around the killing but at the same time they didn’t focus much around that? Just messy.

I actually liked how the relationship between the FL’s best friend and the other cupid was developing, it felt so sincere and just adorable I was hoping he would come back and be with her even if it’s not allowed. Also wanted to see more of the other cupids after their metamorphosis, did they come back? They stay living with the ML even after he became mortal? Their story sort of didn’t have a conclusion.

I also hated the time jump where they suddenly have a child and then they don’t show what is the life of all the other characters, were the other cupids back? What’s of the life of the best friend and the SML?

Overall I liked the story they were trying to tell but the execution lacked a lot, it didn’t felt linear and had a lot of plot holes. Wouldn’t rewatch it at all, just a mediocre drama that wasted a storyline with good potential.

Not Enemies to Lovers…

People say this was enemies to lovers trope but he never hated her lol. She thought he was a predator and didn’t like him (rightfully so) then discovered he wasn’t and liked him, that’s it.
Overall, I liked it and I think the FL had a refreshing personality for a kdrama FL, she was annoying at times and just jumped into clonsusions way to fast. It had your typical misunderstandings due to lack of communication, that’s so annoying they just don’t talk about shit and make a huge deal out of nothing…but well.
The FL best friend pissed me off, she changed her mind every 5 minutes about the ML best friend, she was so superficial.
I liked their grown relationship, it had me kicking my feet when they confessed their love for each other and it was just so pretty.
This drama tapped into a lot of misogyny and parasocial relationships issues it does feel kinda “woke” for a kdrama, but of course lacked depth when tapping into the topics.
I enjoyed it, it’s a nice romcom.

It’s okay at best

For starters how can’t the ML recognize the voice of his secretary that he’s worked with practically 24/7 for a whole year? And like all the characters are just dumb, the side characters aside from the FL family are boring and full of cliches, they didn’t add much to the plot.
I don’t know, I really wanted to drop this show but wanted to see how it unfolded so forced myself to watch it at 1.5x speed and it good a bit cuter and nicer when the leads got together but it’s still meh.
They dragged this way too much, could’ve done the story in like 8 episodes and it would’ve been way better.
It’s really not worth the rewatch at all.

Interesting Premise and Good Actors

It’s a refreshing plot premise, centering around divorce and building stories around destigmatizing the topic. There’s a story about an older couple that is so heartwarming, I loved it.

Overall the pace felt a bit all over the place, in some episodes nothing really developed then in the next one everything happened, it fluctuated a lot and some episodes were quite boring to be honest, when they centered a lot of the dialogue in the technical part of the insurance and didn’t add much to the actual story line.

I liked the the relationships that were built, the only one that for me lacked quite a bit of chemistry was the best friend of the FL with the dancer, like I understand it was difficult for her to accept being in a relationship but she never seemed convinced about liking him and at times she just used him for favors.

I was expecting more, this was sold as quite the comedy but didn’t really had that many funny moments it felt mostly quite a serious story about adults navigating their love life after their divorces.

It’s okay, wouldn’t rewatch it.

Don’t Overthink It Too Much

Feel like people are rating this as full length kdrama when it’s two episodes and basically based on a spicy webtoon written by the FL, of course it’s going to have its cringy weird moments.

I think this is a good spin off and it’s cool to see a bit of the webtoon she wrote in the main drama, didn’t like the reality to webtoon plot at times it felt weird when they would try to incorporate it into the NGNL reality.

Expected more spicy scenes as the webtoons she wrote according to the main drama were super spicy but this was tame and turned quite cutesy, the FL and ML have amazing chemistry so I honestly would’ve love to see more of their spicy scenes lol.

Overall I liked it, it’s a good spin off with the couple I’m sure most people favorite from the main show, wouldn’t rewatch it but it’s enjoyable to watch after finishing NGNL.

Fun, lighthearted, dumb

Overall I enjoyed this drama, it’s a fun watch if you want a very lighthearted and cute story. They lost a the plot a bit at the end lol, but it’s okay. The ML had a good character arch, as well as the SML and SFL the only one that was just as annoying and stubborn throughout th whole drama was the FL, she was my least favorite character tbh specially with the relationship she had with her brother and bff, she treated them so bad for what? They are grown adults and she kept invalidating their feelings. But well it was fun and had a good laugh watching this.

Ppl just brush off how weird and offensive this is

The story is weird with the really big age gap, he met her when she was a high schooler and then got with her?

It’s so odd and just annoying like it didn’t really have anything to highlight, I watched this a while ago and the only stuff I truly remember is the weird age gap and the man that was cosplaying a black person (so many ppl are brushing that off like it was nothing).

Not worth the watch, the story would’ve been cute if it was a romance with the SML like just friends working together and stuff (without the weird offensive man as well).

Kinda funny, cute, overall just okay

It’s okay, like not amazing worth a rewatch but okay. Ofc the FL is dumb (as your typical kdrama) and the ML was annoying at moments, overall the story is pretty well written. The SML…why cast an actor that is closer in age to other characters parents in the show? Like it just made him look creepy and he talked. like. this. lmao he was just not good in this show, always shouting and just odd, they should’ve casted a younger actor, he threw off the entire vibe of the show for me like there wasn’t a single moment where you would root for him to get with the FL.

Fun, light, just a romcom

The latest comments talk about this drama like it’s the worst they’ve ever seen and I think that such a reach lol, like it’s not groundbreaking it’s a cute lighthearted romcom, chill.
I do think that the last episodes lacked some substance, felt like they were dragging the story to get the 12 eps, they could’ve explored more of the storylines and the 1 year jump was so cliche, the very end felt so meh.
There were come things that were left unanswered, like why did the brother take the money? Did Young-seo’s dad talked to her again? Did Tae-moo’s grandpa accept her? Did Min-woo come back? (Did he ever liked her?)
I liked the story and it was a fun watch, Young-seo and Sung-hoo’s relationship had me giggling and kicking my feet I loved them lol, just wished the story at the end wasn’t so rushed but anyway I really liked this show!

Cute Romcom

Overall I liked it, it’s a cute lighthearted drama!
The cast is really good, my fav character was the ML I feel like he got the best character development and was the only mature one at times lol. The FL is your tipical dumb girl that is supposed to be “not attractive”, she’s not like other girls yk lol but more tolerable than most FLs imo. The only thing I don’t like about her it’s that she’s a bit selfish and immature mainly in her relationship with the ML.
I honestly skipped the love story of the ML’s brother, it just felt forced and I wasn’t interested in the man after the story with the FL was done, I would’ve love to see if Seon-ok and Tae-Kwon got together at some point we only saw them flirt one episode and then the story jumps to 2 years later and that’s it, the last episodes felt quite rushed tbh.

It’s okay, cute and simple

I honestly almost didn’t watch this because of the recent comments saying it’s so bad but I still gave it a chance and it’s not as awful as people are saying, like it’s a 2015 romance of course it’s going to be cringy lol. Compare it to dramas of the same year, it fits right in.
It’s okay, not super good just okay not worth the rewatch. The FL is dumb and annoying, the ML is mean and cold then he becomes sweet to her…your typical cheesy romance drama characters. The story is cute of the childhood sweethearts and how they found each other again. I honestly hated the “glow” up of the FL they made her look 20 years older, but I’m glad that didn’t completely change her and she still showed her “ugly” face (like she’s so pretty just had curly hair and skin issues but you know korean beauty standards..)
In the last episodes it’s so slow and just way dumber like they try to fill the 16 episodes quota, the FL is so much more annoying in the last few episodes. And the last episode is mostly filled with trowback scenes if you skip all of those the actual episode is like 20 minutes.
In conclusion, just give a watch it’s entertaining lol.

Good but could’ve been better

This drama was so so refreshing and entertaining, I normally don’t watch period dramas but this one is so unique I had to watch it. I liked it overall but felt like some episodes were just “fillers” I feel like you could skip a couple episodes and go to the last two without any issue. Would’ve loved to see more of the implications in the present time of the decisions the king made, and where was the queen’s soul this whole time? how did Joseon change with the king’s new ideas? what was of the life of the chef after he returned to his body? So many questions and stories that could’ve been answered without extending the amount of episodes.

Started Good but Fell Short

Really wanted to like this after the first episodes but the last two episodes completely ruined it.

Actually love the trope of this show, the fake marriage to love but the FL is so narcissistic and egotistical, the ML was changing his life completely for her and she was just mean and selfish, not only to him but to everyone around her as well like the way she reacted to her boss liking her sister was insane to me, she instantly made it about herself and prohibited their relationship?? that’s insane like who does she think she is to dictate what her sister can and can’t do, not only to her but her other sister as well - when she told her about her open relationship and she basically told her she’s wrong about that, focusing about what other people will think, I really didn’t like this FL.

I understand her hurt from feeling like her mother didn’t love her as much as she did all the children she adopted, but the way she dismissed their feelings for her mother was cruel. The ML was grieving as well but she didn’t even asked him once about how he was feeling and took that moment to break up with him…he was always there for her but she rarely reciprocated that, she constantly pushed him away and just wanted him to come back time and time again after hurting him. I don’t think the break up was necessary for him to look for his mother, they could’ve stayed together and she could’ve supported him while he faced going to the woman that caused him all the hurt but no she broke things off and made him do that alone…?

The last two episodes were just all over the place, they cramped every romcom kdrama cliche they could think of in those episodes. Felt so rushed with so many unnecessary stuff, they told more in the last two episodes that in all the others.

Cute, funny, romantic story completely ruined in the last two episodes.
