Interesting and odd
It honestly was an interesting premise, didn’t have much expectations after seeing the title and first episode but it started to turn quite interesting. But I feel like half way through they started to cram a lot of things into the script and ran out of time to develop everything well.
If you are really into fantasy plots this is going to be a bit disappointing, the cgi isn’t great and the story lacks a bit to truly explain all the plots around the different worlds and fantasy characters.
Ngl I watched this for MinGue after knowing him from Business Proposal, he’s a phenomenal actor and I give him props for how seriously he delivered some of these ridiculous lines. I really enjoyed his acting, BoGyeol’s and the boys from Wild Animal. On the other hand the villain and the CEO of LLL were really not good, the villain wasn’t really convincing at all he didn’t had too much of that “demon” look and the CEO was absurdly over the top.
Despite all of this (lol) I think it’s worth the watch, it’s silly and at times it can have its heartwarming moments, it shows a lot of the less glamorous things idols endure in their industry.
The part where the idols became goblins signing their souls away for a chance to succeed was a good metaphor, some of these idols are basically young children that would do anything to succeed.
In conclusion, watch it and see the side of how they are telling the story of the idol industry through this fantasy.
