Unsatisfying conclusion
I very much enjoyed the story overall, especially (since I'm a guy) how both of her boyfriends were generally kind and thoughtful. Many times they actually anticipated Yu-mi's unvoiced concerns and brought them up to discuss. It rankled me to see Yu-mi's immaturity in this season, when she was so strict about boyfriends who are "swayed" even for a moment. Better communication and effort might have rekindled her relationship with Ba-bi.Of course, you never know how (hypothetically) her friendships with both of her ex-boyfriends might blossom into a romantic relationship once again. But I'm sorry, the ending was thoroughly unsatisfying and reminded me of the terrible ending of "When the Weather is Fine," where no one ends up together or seemingly very happy.
To end a drama series with a firm statement that the leading lady is strong and independent and "don't need no man to make her happy" is just the reason we left American television. It's a good reminder to me that, in the future, I'll carefully select what dramas I watch based on user reviews after they have completed.
The drama was a fun ride, but I would never watch it again because I know how it ends.

total disappointment
you guys really like this season yumi cells because i thought it was a total disaster, firstly Goo Woong had his reasons he was going through a lot of difficulties and he didn't want yumi to get involved, but they went their separate ways, yumi was even in a nice relationship with babi but he just started having feelings for someone else, from that moment on i didn't like him "because most people like him because he's handsome" best thing yumi did was break up, but then she came back with babi (from that moment on I thought about giving up watching it because it was very frustrating to watch it) I felt really sorry for Goo Woong because he really wanted to get back together with yumi. ok, the ending really made me happy because it gave that impression that that couple from the first season will come back but another guy appears (according to the webtoon it's the guy that yumi is going to marry when in the first season he showed a four with yumi wedding photo) it was a total frustration this season. Was this review helpful to you?

This might be the worst romance drama I have ever seen in my life..
First of all, let me make it clear, everything I'm gonna say is NOT towards the actors/actresses!!If I didn't read the webtoon beforehand I would have dropped this mess of a drama immediately.. Tbh I only keep watching till the end because of some actors/actresses. I don't have much to say/add anymore as I already expressed most of my concerns ( mostly about the main character) in my first review. And in general I just don't like how the story evolved throughout the show compared to the og, While I'm well aware that stories tend to get changed and adjusted a lot when it gets adapted into a drama/movie but they could have done a better job imo. It is just soo unenjoyable and not only is this a very poor adapation of a webtoon, but this also might be the worst romance drama I have ever seen in my life. So my advice would be to either read the webtoon OR watch the drama, not both, or else you could be very disappointed like me, or if you really wanna do both, go in with the mindset that they're very different and might not be what you've expected.
I guess how you percept it differs from person to person and it could also be just me, cuz everyone else seems to love it lol (which could also be cuz they didn't read the webtoon idk..) so please take everything I've said with a grain of salt, thanks! :)

Disappointing
When it became obvious near the end, that this was just turning into a set-up for a sequel, I lost al patience with it. It is not nearly as charming as the first one was. This included a lot more violence - yes, the cells got violent and it didn't add much to the story. BaBi struck me as a nice guy but boring - he's a company man with not much personality of his own. I loved Woong's quirkiness, his ambition, his creativity. Babi was smooth and dull. And at the end, neither won Yumi, whom I decided was as boring as BaBi. I don't get why these guys are falling for here, there doesn't seem to be much to her other than - well, the cells. Another series that should have quit while it was ahead. Was this review helpful to you?

I was so excited all throughout! But, in the end… ??♂️
Really.?!? That is where the 2 seasons of watching this series ultimately led to? 🤷🏽♂️This is one of those stories which I feel like it was plot manipulated to have a not so happy ending. (Like that annoyingly st*** Love Alarm.)
So she has another love prospect in the end. Promising? Or, just completely futile and pointless, really? Woong and Babi were actually great guys. But I guess neither of them was good enough for Yumi.
What’s the point of all the exciting, wonderful, heartfelt, giddy, priceless, redemptive moments, when in the end, it would just lead to being alone again.
I revoked the nearly perfect ratings I gave these series just because of that finale. It’s gonna go down in history as one of the series that I would have loved to watch again and again, but can never do so. It was actually a great and fun story, but that finale is just too disappointing to relive.

You can watch it for 박진영 only:)
Yumi's character is 쓰레기! Sorry but it is what it is ! Watched only because of BaBi!! He is such a mature character who supports you, lets you grow, respects you. In short, Yu BaBi is so perfect! But Yumi? She is so immature! She likes breaking up with her boyfriends like eating breakfast! Didn't like her character at all! Really dissatisfied! Sorry! Main character wasn't good enough! Didn't give any excitement or thrill! Didn't make me happy! But side characters were pretty good. Like YiDa,Ruby,Wung ,cells and others! I really liked the cells. They were so cute. Specially that Naughty cell and sensitivity cell! Oh forgot to mention Control Z ! Funny guy!
Frankly speaking, I liked everyone but Yumi! Since it was the main character it should have been a steady one! She really doesn't have peace of mind! She, herself doesn't know what she wants! And that makes her life complicated!

A MASSIVE LETDOWN, poor writing, and even worse new male lead!
After the interesting 1st season, the second one was disappointing to say the least.I can only name like a few positive things about this season. The biggest one is when this irritating Bobi guy weren't around. I just can't understand why people on MDL keep saying, they're on his side and he's the best. Maybe all of you are GOT7 fangirls, I don't know, but if that's the case, don't rate Kdramas, please!
They had ZERO chemistry with Yumi, it was a physical relationship since day 1. The guy acted like a typical perfect, handsome and kind dude, but he was anything but that. HE WAS A REAL PLAYER! He may look handsome, but Yumi were still in a relationship when he started flirting with her in the 1st season. You just don't put your coat on a woman, especially if her boyfriend is there, doesn't matter if he's drunk or not. And when they broke up, the first thing he did was asked her out when she only broke up with Woong like a couple of days ago. Or at least, I that's what I thought, because we hardly got any info about how many months passed. I didn't get why Yumi started dating with him so soon, anyway. She didn't have anyone for 3 years after her 1st boyfriend cheated on him, and they were together for 7 years, I think.
The other thing is that the minute they started dating, Bobi already was on a speed dial, I thought he's gonna do the nasty with her in the car. Who the hell does that? I'm not a prude at all, but he was a completely different character after they started dating. And let's not talk about the fact that he basically cheated on Yumi. YES, it was (emotional) cheating. If you don't feel anything for another woman, you just don't move away because you're afraid of seeing her again. How old are you, 5?
And this wasn't even the worst thing he did with Yumi! He lied for a whole week about where he was, he broke his leg, but didn't tell her girlfriend, because he didn't want her to worry? Then, 1 minute later, asked her to marry him, and she said yes? WHAT THE ACTUAL BLOODY HELL? Who the heck does that? Both of them were crazy, for sure.
You can say whatever you want about Woong, he wasn't perfect, no one is, but he never cheated on Yumi, and he only lied about his company. That's a fixable problem. It's understandable why he felt, he's not good enough for her, even tho Yumi never cared about that, and honestly, their whole break up was nonsense. If Yumi wait for 5 minute, he would've said yes to her proposal.
Honestly, I can't believe I say this, but Ruby was the best character on the show and with Control Z they were so funny.😂
If there's gonna be another season, I'm not gonna watch it, unless if it's about Yumi and Woong, because I don't see the point of watching another season with another guy.
I already skipped most of the animated parts because it was boring and irritating. It only felt fresh and original in the 1st season. The writers overused it, and we saw the same scenes multiple times as well, that was also ridiculous.
I don't even remember when was the last time a Kdrama made me this frustrated.
Big potential, big letdown!

The cute cartoons in her head cant make me like Yumi
I will keep this relatively short and not focus on the cells because their humour and cuteness just distract from what is a really depressing drama. Yumi is annoying insecure wants the perfect man (they dont exist not even for your cute cells) and as soon as she gets to a point of difficulty in relationship breaks up for selfish and unrealistic reasons. She is annoying. The fact she goes to serial relationship intruder guy in S2 just makes her more unlikeable. The fact she still spends emotion and time on guy1 when in flown blown relationship with guy2 in S2 makes her ...yes even more unlikeable. The fact she breaks up with guy2 mainly because of another woman's interest in him while she has been trotting off to see guy1 througout their relationship makes her again yes...even more unlikeable.
The fact she has to then go to young good looking third guy with no thought for the 2 broken hearts in her wake yes you guessed it makes her even more unlikeable.
People say its not about the romance its all about her and her growth. Well it is totally about the romances through which we clearly see yes it clearly is all about her at least in her mind. As for growth ? All i saw was history repeating itself
Finally why do so many people give this kind of unhappy bad behaviour a pass by assuming it is realistic. None of it is realistic thats why we like dramas, so dramas like this where selfish behaviour is dressed up as realistic slice of life are just a waste IMO. This show turns out to be a pointless story of a woman getting into and ending relationships with nice guys who really like her. Unless you like cartoons and the psychology of a flighty selfish insincere woman who thinks shes always right then there is no real point to it. Sorry it just crystallised that way in my head the more it went on the more the cute funny cartoons couldnt distract from her flawed behaviour. One season would have been more than enough to get the message.

I would keep watching it if it was not for the romance with Yumi and babi which is going to end. I was hoping that the ML would not crush her heart . In the end he does. yes she may find another guy but I was all for the babi cause of his sweet nature. It tunes out in story they him hurt her in the end. I understand the it is 14 esp and i was only on 8 but they could have made it last even after 8 just with a little help with challenges in life like any other couple. I do like the acing in this. Don't get me wrong this is a great show and i was so into it from the start and i do have my preference as to what i like. This does not end the way i would want it to. This is my personal pref at how i rate this. Was this review helpful to you?
so disappointing it ended up NOTHING PS.I hope there is no season 3. If it still happens like this
The story was going well, but when it was ending, it was disappointing that nothing had ended in self love, it was boring, overall, it was good that they had chemistry, that's why they broke up, that's why I'm even more annoyed, why is it so irritating? with this acting, the good promise is gone, the story line is not really good, the ending is annoying, I wish it was good, but there is no ending. I wish I hadn't watched it so I wouldn't have been hurt. It's really annoying. I hate self love (this is not include lfhgfagfagfgfuygdfgkbgkfsgdsbfgjbxhudfhhvkjsghgsdbdjdkjjh iufghlugf kjjfkih kjjgkh jhgks jhgflshd jkhdfldh jhlisd jhukiflsj jhdjds jfhhdjhy hb fjhdbjl khslk h bv h h h b h bh h h hh h h h hb bb b b b b b b b b b b bb b b b b b b b b b bb b b b bb bb b b b b b b b b b b bkbjkblhsd bh jhjghvlgewv hvbnvoifbf hsppynkjv bhj gjvfj jghvlkfb jhvfjf jksbv v)Was this review helpful to you?

Good Enough
Korean Drama "Yumi's Cells" follows the same pattern as the one in the first season, however, this time, it fails to deliver. The drama does have good performances that save the show, as do the cute cells that do what they do best, they offer solid comedy when it's needed. They are also well-made and nicely inserted into the story.
On the other hand, the story was messy and boring. The love story was just okay, but it wasn't as original and realistic as the first one, especially due to the unnecessary drama that was added to the love story.
So, overall, 5 out of 10.

What even is the point? The basic plot idea is simple: provide Yumi with men with two different personalities and have her choose. Major problem though: both men have paper thin backstories and personalities, and we already spent a whole season with them!
Can you drag this out over 14 episodes? No. But, they certainly were going to try. This has all the flip flops of your basic daytime soap with no emotional/psychological or logical brain reasons why it was twisting and turning. I only watched to the end to see if I hated the end: and lo and behold I did. This is the problem with multi-season series with no defined goals.
The acting was excellent, and you really got tied to the characters as it went on even with paper thin backstories and reasons for doing what they are doing.
The only thing that worked for me was the music, which was layered with meaning and nostalgia after suffering with all these characters through last season.
I grade on other criteria as well:
Complex Themes: 5.0
Everyone lets you down eventually?
Complex Characters/Character Growth: 2.0
Last season, the psychology and emotions made sense. This time, they just really didn't. Ba Bi is all surface, no depth on one hand he has all these dark hidden sides and secrets, and yet is also someone of great depth of emotional feeling who is highly responsible and meets his commitments. Which is it?? If he's putting on a mask or a face, then why are we seeing into his head and FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW he's just a really great, mature all around guy. Then it's hinted at that maybe all this romance, lovey-dovey stuff is an act, or he is someone of inconsistent shallow feeling, but we don't actually see that we see someone who is caring, cries, plans for the future, reads fiction, cares for his family, it just doesn't make sense.
On Yumi's side, she is still deeply hurt by the betrayal of many years ago, and as a result requires constant validation, and is not very trusting. She doesn't mature or change or gain new perspective over the course of the show. She just changes professions.
Wung is the same from last season, portrayed more neurodivergent than last season, he still has no EQ and heavily relies on his pride and logical fallacies to get through arguments.
Quality interactions between women: 6.0
Because Yumi switching careers is one of the plot points, it allows Yumi to discuss her career ambitions and work with other women, but it's all fairly shallow.
Production/Cinematography: 8.0
Still quite high, and there's little magical cinematic moments that will linger, but relies on a lot of what was done before.
