Waste of time & talent
I loathed this series because you have to try So hard to accept the male lead while he does his ;I'm mean, but now I'm nice, but now I'm mean again switcheroo only to be given a bitter & supposedly sweet resolution. It's maddening how the male lead's character is wishy washy with a with a heavy dose of the "It will hurt her less if I am mean & drive her away from me" trope. Side characters were props with stories that were annoying . If you stop before the last episode ends they tease you with a happy ending but if you go all the way to the end you are left with an unsatisfying punch in the gut more realistic ending. This is the 1st drama I've seen where there's a really good reason why the 2nd male lead is such a good guy.***spoiler****
because he's on the back burner being kept warm for when the female lead is ready-which she will be soon enough.

wasted potential
what a shame this had so much potential to be amazing, the actors seemed to have great chemistry together it’s a shame they were stuck with such a terrible script. originally I thought the plot was good but they ruined it by adding unnecessary issues.Anyway I enjoyed Lee Min Ki’s performance it’s was refreshing to see him play a character who’s playful and cute, I’ve only ever seen him play stern, emotionless characters before this. As for Nana she was amazing as ever, she’s the reason I watched this in the first place, ever since I watched her in “into the ring” I fell in awe for her. Since then it’s been my mission to support and watch all her movies/shows.

Guys! I just wasted one whole night!
Come on! Nana and min-ki did soo good that I reconsidered dropping it, but this is the shittiest shitty script, and plot I ever saw. Sorry, I might sound harsh but I really wanna thank Jo Jin Kuk for destroying my time. Though it's totally my fault to waste my time, to begin with, I really hoped it ended otherwise. The fantasy and appearance of the man in the white dress, that is our han bi-soo's father really ruined it.I would've loved it if the drama ended with the truck accident!
It's my first review but not the 1st drama. Well, I've watched over 150 dramas but this is my 1st time reviewing because I suck at that plus I'm really busy with studies!
I don't wanna relate but to be honest, my mister was so freaking good that I had a really hard time watching drama after that because I simply couldn't enjoy the script . Anyways, kill it was good despite the ending but for this one, I am sorry it felt like a straight-out waste of my time.
But I would suggest my fellow k-drama watchers to watch it, the sole rating I am giving it is for acting. Nana and Lee min-ki tried their best!
Anyways, I was so disappointed that it made me leave a review!

Shameless
This is a classic example of what I like to call a waste of carbon emission. It's impressive how a drama can fail on every metric there is and still get to finish its full run. It's fundamentally dysfunctional even if we were to disregard the epilogue. Yikes! On another note, Nana needs to figure out how to turn on her facial muscles appropriately with the scene.Was this review helpful to you?

the drama deserved to be happy
I am very disappointed by the ending as I was not expecting sad ending for such beautiful , comedy drama, From ep 1 to last one , all scenes had some type of comedy that made me give this drama's story 9. Acting was good. but the major dissatisfaction was from the ending . If they wanted unhappy ending that could have been in some other way idk why the ml gets hit by the truck in the first scene that's makes the drama little meaningless . Overall a nice drama .Was this review helpful to you?

Plot Fails Nana and Minki Pairing
I really wanted to like this series. This is the first time I have seen Nana and Minki, who are both beautiful/handsome and very good actors. BUT-The plot was so repetitive (he rejects her, then turns around so many times), with too many subplots ( too many unnecessary romantic pairings). Some of the things he says were so cruel that it seemed past redemption and sympathy. The fantasy should have been better focused and had have been better developed or just eliminated. Oh well. Wonderful acting by the actresses playing the leads’ mothers, Kim Ho Jung and Lee Hwi Hyang.Was this review helpful to you?

Frustrating second half
I really like Lee Min Ki's performance in Because This is My First Life so I was curious to check out this drama.What I like
1. Oh! Master was fun watch in the first half of the series. I really like the scene when he saved Jooin.
2. Bisoo & Jooin relationship development. Kissing & intimate scenes were hot
3. Heartwarming interactions between them & their mothers
4. Record store scenes - I would love to have dates in that store.
5. Dialogue about closing doors, death
6. Kang Min Hyuk's styling is impeccable. Surprised to know that he's a drummer.
7. Oh I like the score 'Running to You' so much!
What I dislike
1. Bisoo sabotaging their relationship
2. The second half of the series especially the Ending
Favourite scene
Dating in the record store

The drama is so badly written it feels like it's written by a middle schooler
The only reason I watched this drama is because of Nana and Lee Min Ki and I am looking forward to their acting and chemistry. When I first read the synopsis, I thought that it is a typical rom-com full of cliché and that should be enough to entertain me. But as I got to the fifth episode, I felt like I was watching a fairy tale written by a middle schooler by how forced the romance is between characters.Even with all that, I had fun watching because of how beautiful Nana is, and it is also fun watching badly written drama because it funny how unbelievable the things that happen in the drama.
I don't hate typical rom-com full of cliché but at least make the story sensible. Not just trying to A and B together and call it romance.

Could have been better! Learn what Fantasy means!
First of all, car accident was the most ridiculous ever for a person like ML! He is attentive and careful of his surrounding! How could you kill him like that in fantasy story? Make it a logical death or just let him live cos this is freaking fantasy!Fantasy stories exist for happiness and wild imagination.
Real life and tragic stories are for sadness, troubles, unexpected difficulty and hard-work.
Writing a story in fantasy theme/setting and writing sad story that isn't even logical is just wrong!
===
ML = Sadist & FL = Masochist (Literally, that's who they are in this drama!)
ML leaving FL for her sake is so cliche, old, boring and mad cos he is going to die anyway, so why not tell her the truth? And, if she left you, accept it; if not, be with her till death. Why not let her decided instead of deciding all by yourself? That would have been better plot. (Now, ML thinking best for FL from his perceptive only! This is just one-sided!)
"You think, doing everything the best for your love is more important than what your love one wants?" There is no honesty and trust! That's just one way communication and that's what most closed minded people do! - I am sorry but that's the fact!
FL is so strong minded and open minded though, as she waited so patiently for ML's reason for doing terrible things to her. (This is never gonna happen in real life. Anyone would quit that kind of sick relationship. There are freaking over 7 billions people. Everyone is special if you can look forward or look to the future instead of sticking with a person who has terrible personality! Don't stuck yourself in the past or in terrible relationship!)
===
Humor, romance, bromance and jealousy are the only things I like from this drama. EP 1-8 after leaving out s***ty car accident and fan's evil plot is great.
The rest is pretty much one-sided overwhelming love from FL. ML only accepted cos she found out the truth and her love for him is overwhelming (Which doesn't exist in real life so why sad story? Want to be realistic but with unrealistic setting and love? Okay!).
I was already able to predict that FL will accidentally see ML vanishing and that's how they are going to reconcile. (This drama could have ended with just 10 or 12 episodes. You could skip all those and ended with mishearing 49 days with 49 years! This point was unexpected though.) Finishing 'script' in 49 days is a overkill!
===
Seriously, you could have save this fantasy drama by removing unnecessary sad plots and giving happy ending. This could have been 9/10 or even 10/10 but now 6/10 cos of illogical accidents and sad plots.
FL & supporting characters' personality are awesome except for ML & 2nd ML. (When will I see a drama where 2nd ML just stop liking FL and get together with his soul mate and become friend with FL & ML again later.)
I am sorry but I can't stop myself from ranting!

Watch this entire drama...if you hate yourself
I had been on a C-Drama kick when I was starting to feel burnt out from 30+ episodes per show. So I came back to the much more schedule friendly K-dramas. First: I hadn't noticed it before, but after so much time away from them, I realized that a ton of Korean dramas seem obsessed with death themes (i.e. 2nd chance, ghosts, angels, serious trauma over dead loved ones, etc.) This drama was definitely filled with it. I guess they made it work, but it's kind of overbearing. The characters and relationships had such great potential, but they were overshadowed.I enjoyed the first 11 episodes and spent the rest of them (except the finale) in self inflicted pain with every torturous scene. The FL starts great and the ML nails it, but then everything takes a turn for the worse. They manage to put a bow on this mutilated package in episode 16, leaving me with a sense of closure. But it honestly wasn't worth the frustration.
Since I really had love for this drama in the first half, I feel super conflicted over the rating. I would have given the first 10 episodes at least 9.5, but the last several have to drag it down a minimum of 2 points. It doesn't feel right giving it a 6 or lower because the episodes that I liked were fun while they lasted and I find Lee Min Ki extremely attractive, so 7
