BITTER SWEET
The Sweet (LIKES):Cinematography, locations, colour pallet, all visually pleasing.
The nostalgia with the VCR tapes, camcorder, etc. was fun.
Well chosen cast. Good chemistry between Kim Too Jung, Byeon Woo Seok and Park Jung Woo, as the three main leads. Acting was okay.
Production: Finally a South Korean movie that uses a film stabilizer for the most part, (still some shaky moments though)!

The Bitter (DISLIKES):
WRITING: Wish this was a series instead of a movie, so that there was more back story for the main characters, more character growth and better impact of certain moments in the story. Too many loopholes in the plot, unexplained/unresolved moments. This was the usual teen drama. Timing of showing the leads as high school, university and adults, was off and very abrupt. Script was lacking too.
OVERALL:
I didn’t mind the ending, but it seemed a cheap way to get a reaction from the viewers, due to the under developed story. It’s an easy watch, with not too much angst. I recommend it for the audience it was made for (teens). And I would watch it again.

Too much into a small movie
This had potential. The cast is fantastic and I really wish this was a series rather than a movie. There were a lot of details as to what could have happened between the two main leads, but you can only fit so much into a film. As I am writing and deleting what I want to say about this review, I'm starting to understand why the short film. I think the impact of a short film with all the details that could have been expanded in a series was shortened here. But I was left unsatisfied and empty. The unknown as to why the ML died still doesn't make sense to me. Did I miss something? Did I overlook symbolic meaning? Was there a sentence that explained this but I skipped it? Also, what was the reason to film the sunrise? So many unanswered questions that I just didn't understand which is why my rating is low.Was this review helpful to you?
Whoever casted the leads, did a great job!
A spoiler free review of this coming-of-age movie with a bittersweet ending of a young couple and their best friends in the year 1999. And yeah, Byeon Wooseok is incredible! Not to forget Kim Youjung is so adorable in here. The story is fresh and gives the vibe similar to "Twenty Five Twenty One" but with a better ending and shortened time with no bullshit dragging around. Had a good watch. Definitely recommended.You will laugh, smile, cry along with them and understand the love they had in between.
P.S.- Han Hyojoo appears in this movie as well. She is amazingly awesome as the adult Na Bora.

Disappointing plot but great nostalgic scenery!
The movie starts off pretty well since its entertaining to see how the FL gets to know the ML and his friend, especially through her mischiefs. But it ends up going down the cliché route halfway through the movie: the FL and her friend end up liking the same guy so FL lies to the guy about her feelings. This makes the plot frustrating and hard to watch. It's not very creative and doesn't make the characters seem thoughtful or relatable. If anything, it made the FL seem irresponsible for making the people around her confused and left in the dark. Although I think Yoo Jung's acting is pretty good, its the scriptwriters who mostly failed this part of the movie.The other main cast members had mediocre acting, especially the two male leads. Though, I do feel a nice bit of chemistry between Yoo Jung and the two!
Overall, the little things like her school, family, and friendships are heartwarming and fun. The nostalgic vibe and the cinematography were stunning. But that's mostly what uplifts the movie for me. And I know a lot of people are unhappy about the ending, but that's what helped me feel some strong emotions, especially with the video tape at the end. It was heart-wrenching and I like actress Hyo Joo's moments there. Without the ending, I would probably give this a 5.
I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this movie but if you want to watch a light-hearted romcom with a mediocre cliche plot, and don't mind a sad ending, go for it...

Pretty boring tbh
A tale as old as time. Nothing new to see. Cheerful, dumb and heart of gold girl likes guy but doesn't admit it cause best friend likes him too. I got pretty bored after the first half. Also the ending is so stupid. There was no need to put a sad ending here but they did it cause why not. I thought this series would be great based on the rating but it is pretty meh. Kinda disappointed cause I was expecting more. I predicted almost most of the time what was going to happened, so I wasn't awed by anything at all. Even that unnecessary ending. One Question: Why did it end like that???
This drama had the potential to work more, write on more and potray something more beautiful. But it Just ended up leaving me with a simple question.Why the hell did the ML have to die???? like what does it have to do with plot and storyline! did he have a disease?? nothing! they just wanted a sad ending and boom! There we go!
it was a stupid writing to start with. a Great movie with all needed for a hit and all. plot flowing nicely and my rating going up until last ep...Jeez. I think I wasted my time.

Me prometeram comédia romântica leve me entregaram lágrimas e sofrimento.
Queria muito assistir a uma comédia romântica bem leve, descontraída numa vibe pretendente surpresa então fui até o catálogo e achei esse filme como indicação de romcom em "títulos semelhantes", gostei da sinopse e comecei a assistir. Nossa a vibe no início é muito boa, gosto da estética nostálgica, retrô. Nado nos anos 90 mas teria gostado de ter sido adolescente nessa época. Enfim.. estava fluindo muito bem, sabia que a situação dela ajudando a amiga stalkeando o rapaz que ela gosta traria algum tipo de problema, ela se apaixonando por ele mas.na verdade era o outro até aí eu tinha tudo sob controle, mas o final por deus eu não esperava.. eu realmente achava que eles iriam se reencontrar que a exposição era dele e ele apareceria pedindo desculpas, explicando os motivos do sumiço e eles terminando juntos e felizes. Mas o que eu recebi foi lágrimas, tristeza e sofrimento. Eles não mereciam um final tão triste.Fiquei com meu coração quente e triste em meu peito, e fiquei uns 30min processando mas no fim eu refleti que todo tempo é precioso que nós sempre precisamos aproveitar e dizer para aqueles que amamos e queremos bem os nossos verdadeiros sentimentos pra que não tenhamos qualquer tipo de arrependimento.
Foi o que tentei tirar disso.

Una chica del siglo xx
Me gustó esta película, a pesar de su final, porque sentí que era una manera de mostrar que no siempre las historias de amor logran tener un final feliz. Me dio mucha tristeza el hecho de que se hayan tenido que separar y que, al final, nunca hayan podido volverse a ver.Sin embargo, lo sentí como una lección: nunca dejes para mañana lo que puedes hacer hoy.
Me hubiera gustado que su romance hubiera avanzado un poco más antes de que él se fuera. Nunca se sabe cuándo será la última vez que verás a alguien.

É importante saber que se vai chorar muito
Um bom filme que me fez chorar mas muito marcante! as história é os personagens prendem eu ao filme é também me faz refletir. Não sei muito oque falar então eu acho que é só isso por enquanto, em minha opinião vale muito a pena assistir.Tem muitos doramas triste mas esse realmente me fez chorar é ficar sentimental por mais de uma semana. É um melodrama muito bom.

Bello Dolce e Triste...tutto insieme!
Iniziato a guardare per casa mentre facevo altro ma mi ha conquistata quasi subito e ho deciso di godermelo.Non sapevo niente della trama etc.Una storia adolescenziale con dei bellissimi interpreti oltre che molto bravi.Il classico primo amore che però sembra destinato a finire prima ancora di iniziare.Una storia di amicizia tra ragazze bellissima e commovente.Una storia che fa sorridere.Ma anche una storia che farà arrabbiare e piangere,intristire. Non mi aspettavo quel finale e non mi è piaciuto.Peccato perché era tutto perfetto il giusto mix ma il finale lascia non poca delusione.Comunque nel complesso merita la visione.

Eu estou devastada!
Já comecei a assistir sabendo que não tem final feliz e que ia chorar horrores.Mas não tava preparada pra me apegar tanto a um casal, valha minha nossa senhora! Incrivelmente fofos e com uma química maravilhosa.
A Na Bora é tão cativante, e ver o empenho dela em ajudar a amiga mesmo de longe é tão adoravel. Dei um berro quando ela descobriu que ela observou o cara errado o tempo todo e ficava MEU DEUSSSSS TENHAM UM DIALOGO E RESOLVAM ISSO e a demora pra isso foi o que mais dói pois eles perderam um tempão juntos antes dele ir embora (também não entendi o motivo dele precisar ir).
O final foi só lágrimas e lágrimas, a exposição perfeita até o momento que se descobre o que houve e como ela passou tanto tempo sem saber.
É um ótimo filme, te faz refletir sobre a brevidade da vida e que devemos aproveitar ao máximo as pessoas que amamos e o tempo que temos junto a elas.
