Kitamura Taiga's mother died when he was a child, and he blames his father’s rally racing obsession for it. Resentful, he moves to Tokyo for university. Years later, he learns from childhood friend Uechi Miho that his father has passed away. Returning to his hometown, Taiga reflects on his father’s legacy and, while in his father's garage, realizes his own desire to join rally racing. He decides to participate in a rally race.
