One of the most interesting intriguing and heartwarming dramas I have seen. It starts out very slowly, takes too long to introduce the characters so hang it there it worth it. This is a story that you just can't believe is happening. It keeps you engaged and interested throughout. Only one flaw in the ( a bit of a spoiler), it would have been more logical if the father was given a case of amnesia, within the story. Other than that the story is full of interest and is very engaging. I just can't believe that someone could be that unscrupulous. Although it a bit dated it is worth watching as one of the best dramas, you won't be disappointed.

RACISM
I guess it's in the first episode where one of the characters says sth like "black people are barbaric and violent".at first I thought the translation was wrong but then i checked some online forums and confirmed that the dialogue was actually like that and no one on that production crew find it racist and problematic.
I could barely watch the first episode bc of that, it's sth you can't simply ignore, I like the cast but racism is a deal breaker for me.
usually when I drop a drama on the first 3 eps I won't write a review but for this one I actually wanted to warn people, also it's the typical innocent fl and spoiled ml drama.
I wanted to give it a 0 but that's not possible so I gave it a ONE.

The Power of Timing
I first started watching this drama because I was trying to get into longer dramas and as this one had such glowing reviews, I decided to give it a try. Soon it was clear that there was not much to the story aside from cleverly timed cliffhangers. Many things are going on in this drama. There is a love story, there is envy, betrayal, corporate greed, family troubles, but mostly: missed encounters. That pretty much kept this story going and the plotline flowing without anyone important meeting. Simply put, they could not meet. If they did, then everything would be solved right away. For me, that was the only thing that kept this simple and predictable drama going.
As for the main characters, they really tried my patience. Over the years I've watched my share of obnoxious, shallow, and completely out-of-touch male leads, but this one was hard for me to swallow at times. I think back then they pushed this type of character way too much. I love a good redemption story, but these types of characters really grind my gears. As for the female lead, she was the stark opposite. So much that she became bland and boring at times. I dislike characters that just take everything laying down. It's unfortunate when bad things happen, they are out of your control. But if someone comes at you, you are allowed to fight back instead of crying.
Overall if you like a repetitive makjang with plenty of crying, a ruthless stepmother, second male lead syndrome, and more episodes than needed, then prepare to suspend your disbelief, because this drama is for you.

And the music is so repetitive. They use the same little snipets.
*Update*
I finally finished the drama. Damn. I hate dramas that make me want to punch my computer but at the same time they are so good you spend 28+ hours watching it. LOL. It's good guys. Yeah it has it's quirks but I found out it's a makjang haha. Okay. Makes sense.

That made me watch shining inheritance again , drama is really good.
You just have to get to 3rd episode then drama start moving.
I do not like that male lead guy. I find him not charming. Kinda ugly too. Moon chae won is pretty as always.
if you are fan of han hyo joo , this drama is watchable.

The male lead Lee Seung Gi in the drama is pretty decent, I think he just started acting since he is not that good in portraying sad scenes just yet.

long 28 episodes
I did not particularly enjoy this drama as everything was expected and most predictable. I watched just to see the chemistry between the main leading actors. Lee Seung Gi (Hwan Sun Woo) acting left a lot to be desired, perhaps this was one of his early attempted dramas. I noticed that it was right after Shining Inheritance that all of Lee Seung Gi's dramas became very good My Girlfriend Gumiho, King2Hearts etc....As for Han Hyo Joo (Go Eun Sung), she is simply beautiful talented and one cannot find much fault in her acting. Loved her in Reply 911, Always etc.
However this drama Shining Inheritance was pretty mediocre.

OST Favoritos:
K.Will - Love is Punishment
Ji Sun - Crazy In Love
ISU - People Who Live In My Heart
Kang Ha Ni - Only You
Ji Hye - Spring Rain

По актерам целая россыпь популярных сейчас лиц. Главная героиня не красавица, но очень обаятельная девочка
