Stuck On You Episode 7 Reactions
idk if to laugh or cry - this ep - the writing the acting ooff i'm drained and i just watched it - the verbal daggers OMG i'm bleeding and what came out of JM's and Reb's mouth(⓿_⓿) and i get it was all frustration and anger - in JM's case it wasn't even Reb would angered him, it's all this hurt and anger he is carrying around on Aaliyah's behalf, she did him dirty and as he didn't get a chance to rail on her (as he was still trying to get her back) he is pent up and just exploding at anyone and everyone - understandable. but Reb poor Reb suffering from the consequence's. OMG this ep was a mad roller coaster - heck this whole drama is, but it's also phenomenal - kinda blowing me away how good this is

The series is really good and each episode keeps getting better. I love how the actors brought the characters to life. Every emotion is perfectly laid out in every episode, but this one right here takes the cake. Reb is a hopeless romantic and optimist that appears to have unrequited feelings for JM and for the most part he can be seen as the victim in this situation. That all changes here. You start to see how toxic these seemingly innocent traits can be and notices the clues the previous episodes hinted at. Because he lives in his own fantasy world with his ideas of love he completely ignores everything else and forces his feelings on JM. At this point, we and Reb know that JM isn't cold-hearted but damage. He comforted Reb when he needed it, apologies for leading him when he didn't mean to, and made it clear he wasn't ready for a relationship and just wanted to be friends. Despite this Reb gets mad at him for not living up to the fantasy he created and ignores him. Reb even goes so far as to violate JM privacy, and JM calls him out on all of this when a fight breaks out. I love how this episode points out the critical flaw in Reb's character and shows how bad this unrealistic expectation can be. This combines with showing how someone who comes off as emotionally unavailable can be the victim.

Undoubtedly the series' best episode yet, Episode 7: True Love's Kiss was a beautifully made intense-filled episode. This episode confronted the character flaws of both Reb (with his idealized outlook on love) and JM (with his anger-driven and pessimistic view of life) head on. All the scenes were purposive and the screenplay was very apt. This penultimate episode will be remembered for the powerful confrontation scene that concluded with the lines "Fuck you" and "I hate you" and yes, sealed with an emotional kiss. Yves, Iyo, and even Beverly, were all amazing on this episode. With Yves, I really felt JM's personal struggles. And I empathized and sympathized with Iyo's Reb. I wanted to comfort and hug him (with consent, lol). As for Beverly's Aaliyah, I wanted to slap her for giving JM a final kiss, lol. Anyway, audio-visuals, including the soundtrack, remained solid. Overall, this episode was a great set-up for next week's finale episode. I expect to see character and relationship development! Here's to a hopeful finale episode!
