It was amazing for being censored

I seriously think that Stay with me is one of the best bls out their even though it was censored you still could make out everything. Stay with me is an adaption of Addicted and I haven’t yet completed it yet, but I’m almost done and what I know is that they didn’t disappoint the adaptation they kept the same story line with Wu Bi being the rich kid whose mom died when he was younger and his dad wants to remarry a new women, but he didn’t know that his enemy (soon to be lover) mother was becoming his knew step mom. While Su Yu is the poor kid whose mom left him and his dad because she wanted to become rich rather than stay poor which I hate so much because now she wants to suddenly become his mom again by trying to make him come live in her knew rich household. Wu Bi then goes mad by leaving his school transferring to a “poorer” school and trying to disown his old life. Once he arrived at his knew school Su Yu and Wu Bi started to have so much beef, but then turned into being friends with each other with Wu Bi moving into their home, Su Yu’s father treating him like he’s part of their family, and helping Su Yu watch Duo Duo. I literally loved that episode where Duo Duo wanted Wu Bi and Su Yu to dance at her school event and do a very lovely dance that kids should be watching. I also loved when they went to the mall and made Bo Kuang dress up as a girl and Mao Chung kept laughing at him because he looked so pretty as a girl. I loved all the bike scenes especially when Wu Bi made Su Yu ride in the front on his back so he would be peddling the wheels while Wu Bi guided the bike, also when Wu Bi gave Su Yu matching scarfs. I also love how possessive Wu Bi is of Su Yu that even his ex girlfriend he literally bashed and kept telling Su Yu she’s bad and she really was and she literally made me so mad, but I love how Wu Bi was always helping and supporting Su Yu. I literally cried at that ending because the episode before they were riding horses and enjoying life and now suddenly their in a car crash because Wu Bi’s cousin Mo Yi wanted to kill Su Yu, but Wu Bi took most of the injuries and I seriously didn’t want him to die, the ending isn’t really on Viki so I watched it on YouTube because it’s a deleted scene, but it said that Wu Bi is safe, but needs to be hospitalized the ending on Viki is the camera going through the house which I didn’t understand until someone on MDL said it which it’s 10 years later and Wu Bi and Su Yu moved out together just like they promised and the shovel shows that Su Yu, Wu Bi, and Duo Duo dug up their capsules. I literally need a Season 2 I am to obsessed with this series I definitely recommend this is a must watch no matter what because it’s so good!

Amazing BL Series, (Must give it a go or check it out)

Honestly I really enjoyed it a lot the chemistry between the characters and the story was just great. Like Wu bi (Xu bin) expressions that clearly shows what they were trying to convey. I honestly loved this even with the fact of the censorship, I truly still enjoyed it. The ending was something else 😭😭, I had a bit of spoiler before so I kinda already had an idea that something happened to wu bi but I didn’t know how but even so the ending broke my heart 💔. I can’t wait to season 2 I’m happy but at the same time sad bc we have to wait but we at least get to see them again and continue the story 🥹. I really hope new people who have yet to watch it give it a go cause in my opinion I think is worth watching even tho it’s not really a bl but like it sorta is.

A Heart-Warming Story

After watching the final episode I was keen to see what others felt. But even before getting there, I was wondering how they were going to tie up so many loose ends in one episode. In short, this series is ripe for a Season 2, and I do hope we get it. It's hard to know what to praise first, but I think I'll start with the two leads. They both did a superb job playing their roles with subtlety and showing the gradual growth of love and affection between them. The writing was excellent, as was the cinematography and music. The pacing only rarely flagged, and every episode had both laughs and tears in it.

The best BL drama

OMG!! What a masterpiece. It is the best BL drama I have ever watched.
Despite censorship in China, the series manages to convey the emotional
intensity and chemistry between the main leads. I did not expect it to be
so amazing.

I totally fell in love with Wu Bi and SuYu, and their bond is just amazing. I love how Wu Bi always protects Su Yu no matter what. For me, this is the best adaptation I have watched. I was drawn to it from the first episode and finished it in a few days. The acting is superb, especially the main trio, including Su Yu's cute sister. You will just fall in love with them. Also, I am totally with their classmate as she ships them. It left an
impact on me for a very long time.

It is a real shame season 2 was canceled as I was looking forward to seeing their happy ending.

I don't want to be apart from you

I heard about Stay with Me after seeing edits on my FYP on TikTok so I decided to give it a watch and OH how much fun it has been watching these two grow and develop over the last 6 weeks.

Stay with Me is an adaption on the drama Addicted, and even if you haven't watched that drama before you can 100% fall deeply and completely in love with the characters SuYu and WuBi.

Every week I was hook to my screen wanted to see the development of these two friends as you slowly figure their friendship for one and other, WuBi's trauma with his mother, and even what the future holds for them.
Even as a Chinese Bromance/BL, it truly did an amazing job with showcasing their love for one and other in a way that I haven't see in other Chinese's bromances before.

Everyone apart of this project did an amazing job with crafting a beautiful story around, friendship, youth, and falling in love. I am impressed with Zhang Jiong Min and Xu Bin performance in this show. They truly shined with their characters and brought them to life. Even though the last episode was rollercoaster of emotions, I am hopefully for a season 2 and truly believe this isn't the end of WuBi and SuYu.

This drama is on my top 10 list for 2023 and I will be rewatching it every few months just to come back to my favorite characters.

Give it a watch if you are interested because I promise you its 100% worth it!

The chemistry, the story line, the love, the characters development, everything was there. I wish china's censorship wasn't as harsh because they are taking from us a second season, and a good ending of the first :')
No explicit kiss, but they didn't need that to express their deep love and devotion for each others. Bof of the main leads were such green flags, and it's so refreshing to see that in a drama. I loved loved every one of their interactions, and the way Su Yu's family opened their arms to Wu bi when he needed them most. They portrayed te kind of love that you wish you have.

Wish Things Were Different For These Series

Alright, so I have a few things to say about this show and the Addicted show from 2016 and also the Thai remake coming up. So, some people say this show is cursed cause every remake is always bad somehow, or lacking something, or just not satisfactory to the viewers to the max. I know a lot of people enjoyed this one more than Addicted (2016) for many reasonable reasons, but at the same time this show lacks too, as well as I feel like the Thai remake will as well. Now, let me talk about some things I did write down during the time I was watching this show while I still had the storyline of Addicted (2016) fresh in my head, and I compared the differences in both since I had in mind watching Stay With Me and the Thai remake and review them all in their similarities and differences, but I can’t bring myself to. But yeah, in this one I noticed that support characters don’t act like NPC (same with other characters/including side), I don’t remember much since I watched Addicted (2016) a while ago but the storyline was just not there, it wasn’t executed properly and neither were the characters, so this was something very refreshing about this version. Second, there’s more information about more characters and storyline, in this version it goes into more depth about each character, it reveals characters that weren’t even shown in the 2016 version, this makes the story easier to understand and just overall more informative and realistic. Third, we get to see more of them at school and other characters instead of just mainly focusing on them two. Literally the 2016 version was like a whole mess just focused on the 2 main characters, the rest were like cardboard cutouts with no personality or past, future or present, it felt dull and empty. Fourth, cute scenes filled with chemistry. The difference from this one to the 2016 is day and night, I didn’t get to finish this one so idk if the entire kidnaping thing and literal sexual harassment happens, but based on how far I got, things seemed more innocent, cute, consensual, and just overall healthy or at least I should say healthier from what I saw. It was honestly extremely refreshing to see. Regardless of that, I’m not a huge fan of censored BL/bromance. I wouldn’t avoid watching it completely, I’m sure theres really good ones out there for me, and I’m aware this is a good one but I just couldn’t continue, the lack of intimacy is something that I dislike. I know based on what I saw, with their censorship, they tried their best to make it work and with the 9 episodes I saw I already felt the chemistry, but still, this story more than any other I feel NEEDS that intimacy. But regardless I understand the circumstances, and to also put out there, I did see the uncensored 2016 version, that’s why it’s like day and night for me. But moving on, it has sense of humor/funny scenes/not always on the serious side. Literally, the 2016 version is just black and white, the whole vibe is depressing, the way things were was depressing, god that thing was just horrible, this one is livelier, definitely the fact that it has way more things than the 2016 helps with the liveliness, the 2016 version felt more like a quick dark story. And lastly what I wrote down as part of my review was that the way they found out how they were step brothers was different in both shows, I forgot both versions at the moment of me writing this review, but in the back of my mind I can faintly remember the difference, once again it was like day and night, and everything this show had the the other didn’t played a huge part in this and most of it all. Anyway, this was about how far I got, notice how I didn’t write mainly anything negative about this one, because at the end of the day this show was good, I can recognize this will probably be one of the better versions of Addicted in a while if they continue making more remakes, but it lacked things that I just couldn’t continue, and 24 episodes is long. I need a hook. But I will not deny this show is good, and I do recommend it if you enjoy censored BL/bromance. Now, another thing I also wanna mention here is about the fact I think someone dies? Or idk they get into an accident and we don’t know what happens next that’s why a lot of people are asking for season 2. And no man… I’m not about to go through all that just to have no second season, I’ve been watching HIStory shows recently and I already felt that with one of the shows, won’t say which one incase anyone is interested in watching, don’t wanna spoil. But yeah, that’s pretty much all I have to say, I do recommend if you’re aware of what to expect and ready for it all. Wish we had a version like this but with more intimacy, it would be perfect. But for now this is what we get. And I won’t even speak about the Thai one, I haven’t watched it, haven’t heard much about it, don’t even wanna try it. I’m getting horrible vibes off that one. But yeah here goes to the end of my addicted journey, and if in the future I change my mind, I’ll write another review. But for now this is where I stand.

Нереальная и лучшая китайская адаптация BL Drama 2023 года на данный момент. Невероятное раскрытие более подробной стороны сериала, чем оригинал и включение больше времени для понимания сути, сюжета сериала, что делает дораму более насыщенной и интересной. Пока мы говорим исключительно о бромансе, а что нам даст второй сезон (это говорили ребята на эфире у себя, да второй сезон будет и да, возможно будет слэш уже, а не броманс). Боевые действия У Би (Сюй Бинь) были довольно неожиданными, но и в тоже время, как напоминание, что эта страна - одна из главных по качеству и владению восточными единоборствами. Химия главных героев. Невероятная. Встречаются два одиночества, которые начинают менять жизнь друг друга, видя необходимость меняться самим, их совместимость становится более интенсивной. Насчет возмущения многих, что до БЛ тут далеко. Нет дорогие, здесь вам показывают новый уровень значимости любви, а не случайный секс и потом "я тебя люблю, так как ты со мной спал". Здесь раскрытие и развитие искренних и добрых чувств. Потрясающий сюжет, безумно реалистичная игра актеров. Эта дорама с большим количеством трогательных сцен, плавным и гармоничным развитием, ростом персонажей, горькими моментами, множеством мудрых, но во время сказанных фраз. Дорама о тех трудностях жизни, с которыми мы тоже сталкиваемся ежедневно. Су Юй (Чжан Цзюн Минь) отлично справился с ролью. А малышка До-До (Феба) сколько диалогов у нее было и роль совсем не детская для ребенка, она справилась отлично. Я с нетерпением буду ждать второй сезон. А сейчас мне грустно. После такой невероятной работы (дорамы) я не могу еще что-то смотреть, потому, что это реально шедевр. Отличная работа всех участвующих в процессе.

Ini series bener-bener bagus, saya sangat suka secara keseluruhan. Akting pemainnya bagus, alur ceritanya bagus, musik pendukung bagus, editing bagus, pokoknya semua bagus.

Cuma mungkin kalau boleh kasih saran, episode nya diperbanyak lagi dong kalau bisa kasih season 2. Karena aku sangat menikmati kemesraan wubi dan Suyu, tapi jangan cuma bromance doang harus bisa lebih romantis lagi, biar kita para fans bisa senang, aman, damai, dan sentosa.

Kalian semua wajib nonton ini series sampai habis, kalau gak nonton gua sumpahin pantatnya bisulan. Hayoloh 🗿

Un vero gioiello nato come remake di una serie che era l'esatto opposto

Difficile spiegare i molteplici aspetti che mi hanno stupita - in positivo - di questa serie. Quando ho letto la trama ho avuto la sensazione di un "de ja vù": Resta con me è in effetti il remake di un altro drama made in China, risalente a una decina di anni fa e intitolato "Addicted". Una serie che ho visto un po' di tempo fa e che mi era andata proprio di traverso, volta alla ribellione assoluta, non solo verso la censura dei drama cinesi ma anche nei confronti del sano buonsenso, e il risultato era stato un drama malsano e tossico, diseducativo e per nulla coinvolgente, che nel concreto più che terminare con una prima stagione sembrava essere stato opportunamente interrotto. Quante volte davanti a serie con buon potenziale ma risultato più che deludente mi sono detta "ah, se la rifacessero da capo come si deve...". Ecco, "Resta con me" fa proprio quello. Riparte da zero con idee più chiare e più pulite, e ci aggiunge un notevole salto di qualità. Gli attori protagonisti sono davvero convincenti (quelli di Addicted avevano anche un'età che stonava con il contesto scolastico), la trama è ricca, la storia dentro la quale i personaggi ritagliano il proprio spazio è ben delineata, scorre con naturalezza e coerenza, mantenendo viva l'attenzione dello spettatore. Non ci sono passaggi lasciati al caso, scene forzate ma senza senso, al contrario. E' un drama che presenta spaccati originali, ricco di spunti non scontati. Il secondo aspetto che tanto ho apprezzato di questo drama è l'importanza dei personaggi: non ci sono due protagonisti e poi un gruppetto di figure a contorno, bensì personaggi tutti importanti a modo loro, principali o secondari che siano. Sono ben tratteggiati e danno veramente un valore aggiunto alla trama, fondamentali per portare avanti la tematica della famiglia, aspetto davvero sentito e ben gestito. Tutto questo lo si riscontra già all'inizio, nella sigla, a mio avviso bellissima. Dei tanti pregi di questo drama, però, il migliore in assoluto è quello che proprio non avrei mai immaginato: il drama, più che una storia BL, sembra puntare a una Bromance. Solo verso la fine ci sono passaggi che, in maniera davvero velata, possiamo ricondurre a una BL. Paradossalmente, l'impatto emotivo è davvero fortissimo. Non avevo davvero messo in conto una tale capacità di coinvolgere ed emozionare, tutto grazie a gesti e parole e sguardi studiati - mai sdolcinati, mai fuori luogo, mai eccessivi - ma che davvero riescono a esprimere un sentimento molto forte e intenso. Il tutto senza scene esplicite, baci mozzafiato, o che altro...credo sia un'impresa davvero ardua. Sostanzialmente, potrei definirla come la meno BL tra le BL ma quella che più mi ha emozionata. Sembra contraddittorio ma è davvero prova della grande qualità di questa seria. L'unica pecca è il finale, aperto e con questioni palesemente in sospeso. L'avrei anche perdonato in attesa del meritato e dovuto sequel ma, purtroppo, ho letto che la prospettiva di una seconda stagione è sfumata. Davvero un peccato, se c'era una serie che meritava era questa. Però, anche con questa nota di amarezza, non me la sento di penalizzare il giudizio sulla serie in sé, che rappresenta a mio avviso una delle migliori BL in circolazione.
