Zero Angst, zero drama, full of sugar and spice

This show made me fall in love with Tan Jianci. I dont care about the haters who say Mo Qingcheng is unrealistically perfect. This drama is basically a healing show for anyone who wants something to laugh at and relax at the end of the day.

Zhou Ye plays a very shy and introverted girl here, and i love her versatility. In reality she's a straighforward and bubbly sort so its nice to see her in a different role. I found myself so envious of Sheng Sheng because she was so loved by her family and friends. They all love her unconditionally and want the best for her. The friendships between the gang are so wholesome and heart warming too.

I wont lie, these are the things i enjoyed most of this show:

1. OST - the songs amd Tan Jianci's voice are living in my head rent free - simply LOVE them.

2. Kissing scenes - it took them long enough to have their first kiss, but once they started they couldnt stop! This CP's chemistry was through the roof! Sheng Sheng is very shy by nature and so there's alot of awkwardness fron her in the early stages which i thought Zhou Ye captured well.

3. Food - i found myself having mala chicken and pork intestine for dinner while watching the show!! All the dishes looked amazing and mouth watering.

4. Tourism/scenary shots of Yang Shuo, Guilin - beautiful lakes, rivers and sunsets.

Basically this is a fluffy romance/slice of life show which introduces viewers to the dubbing industry.

THIS IS NOT AN OBJECTIVE REVIEW

Writing this literally after I finished watching it. I feel so empty. I wish I could erase my memory and re-watch it.

The highlight of this drama has to be the fact that there is no drama, whatsoever. It's not exactly slice-of-life, but not so far from it either. We witness Shengsheng, a talented up and coming composer with a beautiful voice, and Mo Qingcheng, an acclaimed voice actor and a doctor, fall in love with each other's voices and slowly with each other. Their journey as they get to know each other, supporting both their respective careers is just so beautifully portrayed by Zhou Ye and Tan Jianci.

The setting of the story is very much focused on voice acting and singing, and even though I cannot guarantee the accuracy of how it is portrayed in the drama, I feel like it treats that subject matter with a lot of respect. There's a running theme of found-family and friendships that formed within the close-knit voice acting community. The music of the drama is definitely a main character, there are so many beautiful songs I can't even choose.

Note of warning, make sure you have food near you, or you've eaten plenty before watching. Food is pretty much the love language of Shengsheng and Qingcheng and the drama prominently features a variety of delicacies with detailed shots of them being prepared. Apart from that, you can feast your eyes on exquisite scenery in Yangshuo and Qiandao and of course the visuals of our main couple (❁´◡`❁)

As much as I love this drama, it is definitely not for everyone. I have seen some people express their displeasure about the lack of conflict and I see where they are coming from. Which is why, I would recommend this drama for people who just want to relax, unwind after a long day as it transports you to a musical, love-filled dimension with great food.

Romance, Food and Music

I didn’t want to write a review so early in the series but l just could not help myself. I’m enjoying this series so much, everything is just falling into place with the characters. The setting is beautiful, Zhou Ye is amazing as usual and TJC’s voice🤌🏽 (chef’s kiss).

The pacing is so good and l would not mind seeing this for the rest of my life.

If you are still second guessing on whether to start this series don’t hesitate by all means grab some food (because you are going to feel hungry when watching this) and enjoy.

See you at the end👋.

I found this drama while scrolling through Tik Tok and saw an edit of the couple.
To be honest, I loved the first five episodes and binge-watched them until the episode 14. But after that, just nothing.
I am not a fan of twisted misunderstandings and very evil SML/SFL but here, there was nothing; only those dovey-lovey eyes of the Main Leads (that they matched quite well tbh) and that's where it ends.
No plot, no story, no meaning and I honestly wonder why they dragged it till the 33th episode, truly. I had to skip many, many episodes and scenes to reach the final one and that is never a good sign.

In the positive aspects, I really liked the FL that had her own ideas and she was smart, not looking around like a lost puppy like most C-dramas' FL. She had quite the energy, she was soft and she matched well with the ML that was the greenest flag I've ever seen in C-dramas and he actually SMILED in the series.

Also, I liked the music aspect of the drama, something I don't really notice in these kind of series.

It was just very blunt for my taste but I couldn't fault the acting, just the non-existent story behind it.

Super Cute without trauma (clearly marked spoiler)

I’d just like to second what some other reviewers have said (much more eloquently than I will): This is a light, trauma-free series that is a great respite from all the dark trauma-driven series out there. If you want to just relax and enjoy a bunch of people being super kind and understanding, watch this!

The Good
- Beautiful cast all around.
- Many couples getting together with no pointless blowups or breakups
- Loads of people in their social groups - all of who are kind and supportive
- The FL managed to be young, innocent, and cheerful without overdoing it and spoiling the role. And she has a gorgeous smile
:-)

Why not a 10?
I am tempted to give this series a 10. I didn’t for two reasons:
1) There were some of what I consider plot holes that I couldn’t help think about. (Spoiler) For example the FL’s big performance and her family was not there. This did not jive with her healthy and loving family dynamic. (End Spoiler)
2) I think they should have maybe squeezed it down by a couple of episodes, or given more time to two of the other couples, who seemed to get together all of a sudden which had me thinking, “Wait, what? How did that happen?”

So overall a 9 and highly recommend

A No Drama Drama

To be honest, I rarely watch a Cdrama to the end. And even though I rate this drama poorly, all things considered, I did finish it. So that's something. As other reviewers have said here, there really was no story at all - just good-natured people dating and supportive friends. Here's what I enjoyed:
1. The information about voice dubbing culture and fandom in China (something I've always been curious about).
2. THE FOOD as love-language.
3. The "friends/colleagues having fun vacationing together" vibe.
4. The travelogue to Guijin (bucket list location)
5. No backstabbing or miscommunication tropes

Here's what troubled me:
1. The lack of nuanced characters or character arks (nobody is that good all the time).
2. The age-gap thing, how ML pursues FL. All they have is surfacey love for each other based on their voices? And he's way too mature for her. She acts like she's 12 - is that a cultural thing? Do college aged women act like that - all obedient and eager to please? I would definitely find him sus, if he weren't so sweet....
3. The whole thing seems like a Chinese propaganda show.
4. NOBODY SLEEPS WELL.

Here's what I'm curious about:
1. Why isn't sleep prioritized?
2. Is their representation of the voice-dubbing and traditional Chinese music culture accurate?
3. Wouldn't her parents have been more involved?
4. How are there so many cousins, while China had the one-child policy in place? I really don't think that Cdramas have a realistic portrayal of the effect this policy would have had.

Overall, I think I continued with the show until the end because I am really heartily sick of what's happening around me - awful politics, environmental disasters, etc, - that I just needed a break. This show was a break. The people are good and well-intentioned, they all think of others before themselves, and care about relationships.

GREENEST GREEN FLAG OF THE HISTORY. Easily redefined my idea of my ideal man

This drama was sooo easy to watch. A perfect drama to end the year💜. No heartbreaks, no conflicts, just genuine growth of love.

The male lead is the type of person that once he sets his mind to something, that’s it. He’ll never give up. That is exactly how he felt for the female lead. No hesitations, no doubts, and no what ifs. Just straight out love and dedication.😭 He doesn’t give the girl a reason to doubt him. This man reassures the girl at every point. Most comforting lines where when the girl asked, “aren’t you afraid that I might love your voice more than I love you?”. Then he replied, “well the part that you love about me is still me right?”.😭

Although a bit timid and shy, I especially loved the female lead for being honest. Since she doesn't have much experience with relationships, she tells the guy, "you can be assertive at times" when she feels like they're going too fast, and she doesn't say it in a way that antagonizes the guy, she says it in a soft and comforting way. I cherish how the male lead would react with no sense of anger or sadness. He just literally listens to the girl and they both do everything to strengthen their relationship. Female lead was amazing at portraying her role. Can't wait to watch more of her.💜

Characters: Wholesome characters. Everybody gets a happy ending which is why I said this is a perfect drama to watch when you want to boost your mood and have a positive outlook in life. No jealousy among and between characters. This drama shows us what having supportive people around us feel like🥺

Chemistry: They're first kiss took long but let me tell you once they start, there is no going back😆 They are so clingyyyy and I LOVE it! It was so fun to watch. Got me feeling single and all that. TBH, I WAS KICKING MY FEET and SMILING SO HARD IN JUST THE FIRST 2 EPISODES!!

Music: Traditional music was highlighted in this drama and let me tell you, this drama has completely change my perspective. I suddenly found TRADITIONAL music beautiful and majestic.

At the end of it all, I was reminded that you can be everything you want. The characters in the story are all amazing people in their own way (and the drama especially highlights that those who are in a better position than you or those who you idolize, are just people who started earlier than you). Mo Qingcheng is a doctor, a dubber, an amazing cook, and now a director. Jue Mei is a ceo, a dubber, and a founder of their company. AND MANY MORE CHARACTERSSS

Rewatch value of this for me is so high! COMFORT drama of the year.

A very soft and fluffy sweet romance.

It was pretty good. I mean, no drama at all, I was surprised. A very soft and fluffy sweet romance. Just wished it was a little more quicker on the romance, it was a verrrrry loooong sloooow slow burn. I wouldn't watch it again, but the music and performances in it was pretty amazing. Even though it was really slow, I usually skip through a TON of scenes when I watch dramas, I didn't skip through any in this one, not even the 2nd and other character scenes.

Food and Music, Giving Me Butterfly in the Stomach

This drama is so unique, and so breathtaking. Unlike another dramas where it's just a simple love story between CEO and cinderella, with family conflicts and third wheel, this drama hit differently.

This drama told about Mo Qingcheng, who was a doctor and dubbing actor. He also known as Qiang Qingci. He fell in love with Gu Sheng, a student who was also a composer. She also known as Sheng Shengman.

This drama was very simple. Mo Qingcheng fell in love, and he pursued Gu Sheng. He was such a green flag! He can cook, a doctor, doing dubbing, and singing. Being him is so tiring in the real life. He cared about Gu Sheng, and also an attentive boyfriend, which what I liked about him.

The music was superb! I like all of the songs, and also liked the food presentations in the early episode. So mouthwatering and delicious. This drama told all in one about dubbing, food, and music. This drama is a simple watch. Both Mo Qingcheng dan Gu Sheng's interaction gave me butterfly in the stomach, especially in the early episodes. Both of them were so shy, just so unexperienced, and so relatable.

A Shallow Romance with Some Heartfelt Notes

When I first started watching "Love Me, Love My Voice," I wasn't too impressed. The opening episodes didn’t grab my attention, and I almost gave up on it. But out of curiosity, I decided to stick with it, and to my surprise, it slowly began to grow on me. The storyline is simple and easy to follow, making it accessible for everyone. There are some genuinely sweet moments between the leads that add heartwarming touches to the otherwise dull plot.

However, it does lack a strong plot and feels a bit repetitive. The characters, especially the leads, come across as one-dimensional. The male lead is a doctor and popular dubbing actor/singer who seems a bit too perfect, while the female lead fits the typical shy girl trope and doesn’t have much say in her own story. Plus, the storyline is pretty predictable, offering no real surprises.

The cast does a decent job with the material they have. They manage to bring some life to their flat characters, and there’s a bit of genuine chemistry between the leads, which makes their romance feel somewhat believable. But the shallow nature of their characters holds them back from really shining.

One highlight of the series is the music. It adds a nice touch and makes the viewing experience more enjoyable. The songs are soothing and create a pleasant background, but while the music is nice, it doesn’t do much to lift the show beyond its mediocre plot and characters.

PERFECTION

This drama is perfect in my opinion. I’ve been watching Chinese dramas since the beginning of time, and I never thought I’d get anything like this. Don’t misunderstand, this drama will probably be lacking for many people, but for those who just want a chill, relaxing drama to binge, this would be the one.

What it has: fluffy love, cute couples, great music, beautiful scenery, delicious food, pretty people, traditional elements, comedy, and bittersweet meaning…in the form of voice acting/dubbing. There aren’t any of the usual “dramatic” elements like love triangles, misunderstandings, or villains. There isn’t much of a “plot” because of this, and it’s more like a really long, dreamy music video rather than a drama.

A great deal of whatever plot existed is placed on the voice acting/dubbing profession, which is a growing industry in China right now. I don’t want to totally spoil the entire drama, but one of the later scenes related to the profession was very bittersweet for me. This is indeed no banquet in the world that lasts forever. Anyway, I personally have a lot of interest in the profession, so this was an additional aspect that made my impression of the drama skyrocket.

The lead actor and actresses are both really nice, with very cute interactions. I love the fact all the voice dubbing and singing was done by the male actor. As for Zhou Ye (the actress who plays Gu Sheng, long term fans will know our dear Zhou Ye can’t sing XD) The friendship between all the characters are very well done and never fails to induce my envy. Every other part of this drama, especially the food, made me want to visit China and take a good (and taste) look around…

Finally, beware girlies!! This drama’s Mo Qingcheng will raise your standards by miles! He is a walking green flag!!!!

Sweetness Without the Drama—Just Pure Love

Love Me, Love My Voice is one of those rare modern C-dramas that feels like a warm hug. It’s tender, sincere, cozy, and absolutely overflowing with heart. What makes it special is not grand conflicts or dramatic twists but its purity, its gentle romance, and its authenticity. This is a story that celebrates kindness, healing, good food, good music, and genuine connection.

Every character is a green flag, and every episode feels like a smile waiting to happen. It’s sweet, fluffy, and blissfully free of angst — the perfect comfort watch when you need a little pick-me-up.

The male lead is the dream man of every Asian mother — no, actually, of every parent. He’s got a stable, respectable job, a kind and grounded personality, and just the right amount of charm. Despite being wildly popular from his side job, he remains untainted by fame — warm, humble, and effortlessly perfect in that quietly dependable way.

The female lead is innocent and endearing, though at times her naivety makes her seem more like a high schooler than a college student. such a gentle, understanding, and rational character that you can’t help but root for her.

The side couples are absolutely adorable — I found myself cheering for every single one of them. There’s an unmistakable sense of camaraderie among the cast, and it truly feels like they all enjoyed making this show as much as I enjoy watching it.

Recommended — a feel-good romance that radiates warmth, sincerity, and endless charm.

❤️ What Makes It Special

Top-tier natural chemistry between the leads—soft, steady, and heart-fluttering.

Mr. Mo is truly one of the most unique male leads in modern C-dramas:
gentle, wise, respectful, sincere, talented, and impossibly charming.
His love confession and proposal scenes are iconic because they’re so simple yet so deeply beautiful.

No toxicity, no villains, no cheap jealousy tropes—just healthy, supportive love.

The Perfect’s team dynamics are inspiring—unity, friendship, creativity, and yes… lots of delicious food.

A soothing OST that fits the emotional warmth of the story.

A drama filled with good vibes, positivity, and everyday magic.

🌟 My Experience

I originally watched this without knowing any of the cast and it still became one of my comfort dramas. Now, after getting familiar with them, I’d easily rewatch it again (and probably raise my rating even higher). It’s a masterpiece of simplicity done perfectly.

✅ Who Should Watch It

✔ Viewers who love slow, gentle, healing romances
✔ Anyone looking for healthy relationships with zero toxicity
✔ Fans of comfort dramas filled with good food, music, and soft emotions
✔ People who want a realistic, natural love story without dramatic chaos
✔ Those seeking a drama that feels like warmth, sincerity, and emotional peace
✔ Viewers who enjoy character-driven stories rather than plot-heavy ones

🚫 Who Should Avoid It

✘ Those who prefer fast-paced, action-heavy dramas
✘ Viewers expecting villains, jealousy, or heavy conflicts
✘ Anyone looking for twists, angst, political intrigue, or dramatic tension
✘ People who want love triangles or high-stakes drama
✘ If you're expecting a serious, intense drama — this is clearly a lighthearted, cozy, comedy-slice-of-life romance
✘ Those who dislike slow-burn, gentle pacing

💖 Final Words
If you’re into sweet romance, I can only recommend you to watch it. You can literally feel their love through the screen. There is no drama, no jealousy, no misunderstanding, no plot twist, it’s just a slow development of a pure and deep relationship, how one could only wish for. It’s how I’d describe unconditional love. Not to mention the beautiful friendships..All the relationships portrayed are adorable in their own way and each of the characters have a different way to show their love.
All I can say is that it really touched my heart and I could feel the warmth of love while I watched this show, so thank you for producing such a beautiful outstanding story!!
Ohhh and I really loved the music as well!!! So lovely ! It really matched the characters and the story and made it even more perfect!

This drama is not about adrenaline or plot shocks—it’s about love that feels real.
A romance that grows through small moments, quiet gestures, and sincere hearts.

If you love “soft healing love,” this is a 10/10 must-watch.
