in Mo Bao Fei Bao we trust
Initially I had zero intentions of watching 'Love Me, Love My Voice' as fluffy dramas are number one representative on my already miles long dropped list and more often than not they just bore me to death the second the leads start dating. However there is one exception : Mo Bao Fei Bao novel adaptations. Watching her modern work adapted on screen guarantees for a nice watch without much trouble and yet has enough drive and likable characters to keep watching until the end. LMLMV is just that - I would almost say it's the pinnacle of everything nice she's ever written. In that it also suffers from missing any sense of "drama" which makes it a hit or miss for each individual viewer in my opinion. From start to finish everyone is a wholesome and nice person, there is not an ounce of trouble in sight. If anything the one and only 'villain' in this drama is hesitation, more on that later.
Funny enough it feels like it could be the poster child for the ideal idol romance drama that people tend to long for in the comment section of other romance dramas they watched but disliked certain points of. You hated how the love triangle dragged on? - good, cuz there is none here! You hated the evil SFL? - again, you won't find any such character here! You wanted the leads to get together early? - how does the first third of the drama sound for you?. - I think you get the point.
Generally there is a good mix of friendship, career (with friends) and love growing slowly.
This is why I like Mo Bao Fei Bao's work. Although I never rate her dramas over 8, they're still a safe bet and that's how I felt about both Go Go Squid 1 + 2 too. I actually see quite a lot of similarities in character set up of GGS2 and LMLMV. She definitely has a blue print for characters at this point and it works. But if you put them up against each other GGS2 has more plot and therefore I personally prefer it.
Now to the good and the boring:
Another one of MBFB tricks is to have multiple couples develop relationships at various points of the story, so even if you are bored with one pair you'll still continue watching because that one couple you really like isn't together yet. At least that is how I felt because the idea of the second lead couple really did pull me through to the end, otherwise I would have probably not continued after ep18-19.
The fact that there is no real plot aside from them slowly growing their love and working on their career in a very relaxed manner, means we got other things instead - a much needed change of scenery, trips, good food, a few emotional musical performances and so on. In terms of friendship I would actually rate this drama higher because it's just fun to watch them interact and have a good time. All of the cast members have good chemistry with each other and especially on a friendship level they play of each other's energy well. In terms of acting I have no complaints but it did take me a little to get used to seeing Tan Jian Ci as this ever-so-perfect guy. Last time I saw him was in "The Centimeter of Love", where he played the annoying brat little brother of the FL, where he also looked very different from what he looks like now. I think I read he lost 20lbs since that drama so no wonder I had troubles recognizing him...
Fluff is spelled in all caps for this drama and there is no way around it. I could only enjoy it by not thinking too much and looking for any sort of character growth or depth. At first it didn't bother me too much but by episode 24 I did find myself fast forwarding a lot for a few episodes because I started to get annoyed with the FL, who is the embodiment of every idol romance writer's hot fever dream. Grandma Core fashion for female leads is nothing new but damn, you cannot tell me a 22 year old is that PURE and INNOCENT. At some point it all really did feel like the dream of a 12 year old girl when it comes to the main's romantic story also because of how much the ML doted on the FL right from the start, when she really did nothing except being shy. Like why was she the "chosen" one, after being single all his life? - even hearing a song doesn't explain that.
Hesitation really is the one and only villain in this drama because had it not been for that all three - potentially even four - couples would have gotten together much earlier and the story would have been concluded within 12 episodes. The main couple gets together early but the FL is still super shy and hesitates a lot. Her anxiety is delaying most of the romantic progress and although the ML is very caring and understanding, it made me get frustrated with the FL at several points. As a person who experienced first love at some point too I could only understand her to a certain degree because even within the relationship she remained coy and towards the end I actually felt she was regressing in terms of maturity. It's not that she made stupid decisions or anything but her behavior was often very child-like and naive, which made her even more unrealistic of a person than the already flawless ML.
I know I said I shouldn't think too much about the plot in order to enjoy it, but a part of me can't not do that. I mean even if she was some pure as snow, untouched virgin. You cannot tell me a 29 year old doctor and famous VA has also never had a girlfriend? Come on! But I guess this is another reason why it should be the poster child for modern idol romance dramas. I think I'm just either too old at his point to mindlessly enjoy such a idealistic story or I watched too many similar ones already.
Nevertheless, it was relaxing to watch for the most part and although ep24-27 were where I felt the most boredom, and started to nitpick, it did pick up again once the characters all went on another trip and did stuff outdoors.
I see a lot of people say this drama might not be made for binge watching but there is no way I would have ever gone to pick it up back up had I not watched it within 4 days.
I'd rate it a 7.8/10 and I will remember the fun character dynamics, but less so the actual romantic story.

Just meh...
I am a fanatic for cheesy romances so I truly thought I would like this but ended up wasting my time. I tried watching this drama two times before I actually finished it the third time. I was bored the first couple of times but because of the high praises I decided to stick to it cause maybe it will pick up, unfortunately it never did for me. I don't care too much for drama and conflict so personally I didn't need it to be entertained but it was just plain boring. There are many dramas where the cp is together throughout the series without any conflict, however, they still managed to make the drama entertaining. I'm all for easy to watch dramas but this was just boring, nothing ever picked up, the couple were sweet but it was just that. I didn't necessary enjoy watching them tbh, I became more interested in the side couples but we barely got anything from them. I just personally feel that it didn't deserve over 30 episodes, should've been 24 maximum. The fl's family were more interesting, wish we got more of them, it was just way too much screentime of the main couple which sounds like a ridiculous complaint but that's how much I was bored of them despite the fluff (which I absolutely adore). Overall, the drama just wasn't it, it didn't move me at any point and main couple didn't do anything for me (lowkey didn't feel the chem between them), it was a cute setup but ended up being nothing. Was this review helpful to you?
"我真的很想很想你"
I am so happy I decided to give this drama a chance after seeing people bring it up so many times. So this is your sign!!Lets first talk about how Tan Jianci plays this role perfectly, because Qiang Qingci's charisma is through the roof. The character is also so well written, he's literally a green forest, talk about dream man. Qiang Qingci can cook, he has a really nice voice, and he is also super caring. Shengsheng really scored with this man. Tan Jianci makes this role have more depth and I feel like he definitely carries this character. I also love Zhou Ye as Shengsheng, her naive and innocent look in this drama definitely brings her character to life. This pairing honestly never fails, because THEIR CHEMISTRY. This is definitely not a slow burn romance but in a way I loved it because the first 10 episodes I binge watched. The moment where Shengsheng and Qiang Qingci first met was honestly the best scene in the whole drama. I actually saw the sparks in the tension and also the chemistry in this scene was just everything. Also, the kiss scenes were so good!
Now lets talk about everything else, there definitely was some plot holes but the cast made up for this 100%. This is more of a comfort drama, as I feel like everyone gets happy endings. After so many sad endings that I've watched recently, this drama single handedly makes up for it. The ost is also really good, specifically 青梅引, since i've finished the drama I still listen to it! I am a sucker for good osts so this gets a 10/10 for ost. So sad I have to leave this drama behind, I'll really miss it but I definitely will be coming back for a rewatch sometime in the near future.

wasted potential
Disclaimer: this is my opinion and I hope no one would get triggered and start arguing with me.Let me start with the ML. A perfect dubber, singer, Doctor and cook, basically a person who is out of this world. This just made his character unrealistic.
The only thing the FL did was eat, get shy and sometimes sing and compose. Her character had no depth. (No hate for Zhou Ye, I love her as an actress)
the character I loved the most was Jumei. a realistic portrayal of how a human being is.
As far as the story is concerned, there is no plot. So for someone who is okay with this will surely enjoy this drama but this wasn't my Cup of tea. The FL was like a delicate flower. When they were on the ship, she stayed inside because it was windy and was raining while the ML was out. When they were riding the bicycle and encountered a slope, the ML checked it if it was too steep for the FL. She knew how busy the ML is throughout the day but still let him cook for her even though he had to wake up really early in the morning. The thing that was the most weird was when they were by the lake fishing, she sat on the ML's white jacket in order to keep her clothes clean!
as far as the romance is concerned, its extremely slowburn. They get together around ep8, hold hands in ep14 and not kiss until ep 19!!
The biggest disappointment was how the second lead couple progressed. In a 33 ep long drama they could have given them some story!!!
overall, it is a wasted potential and if you like plot driven stories this is not for you. I would recommend watching amidst a smowstorm of love which has a similar vibe and is kinda better than this.

Haven’t finished this yet, but it is, so far, like a great escape…
I love this so far. Where are some more dramas with this level of maturity and good naturedness? I am thinking “Sweet Teeth,” but can anyone think of more?Con: My one concern is the large age gap. He is a cardiologist and she hasn’t graduated college yet. He doesn’t appear to still be a resident, so he is more than 8 years out of college?
Pro: It is interesting to get a glimpse of voice acting and the OST is filled with songs that are a great blend of contemporary and traditional styles.

Delicious Food, Scenic Romance, & Amazing People
My first impression - Perfect Voice Studio: Qiang, Juemai, Doubing, Yasong, WangKe, Mao & Feishao, and Cosplayers: Mumu, & Mo Bai. What a perfect Team. I liked their first meeting (QQC meeting JM, DB & FYS for the first time) and their story before setting up Perfect Voice Studio. Writers should have highlighted their story a little more (At least 1 Episode). This drama has no cliches, no fights, no annoying characters, no lags, no scheming, and no jealousy...
Just a set of pure souls performing voice dubbing and singing traditional music.
This drama gave equal importance to support characters too. Though TJC & ZY are the Main Leads, This drama also contains delicious food making as one of the main leads... 😂😂😂
Overall, I loved IT! AND A MUST WATCH!!!

Slow Moving with No Plot
I was hesitant to watch Love Me Love My Voice. I thought it looked like it might be boring and slow moving .Not only was this drama very slow it had no plot. There was no direction nothing was happening. I could not believe they had made 33 episodes with literally no content. The male lead and female lead mainly sat around smiling in each other faces. I picked this drama over other dramas because of it's high rating. What a disappointment. The female lead acted like she had the mind and social skills of a twelve year old, Drama writers gave her and the male lead little to no personality. Sad to say the writers gave the characters no growth. The childish immature way the female lead character was in early episodes had no growth. This is one of the most poorly written dramas I have had the misfortune to watch. Was this review helpful to you?
Slowly Slowly... a lot of yummy but also a whole lot of meeh
This drama is one part food/cooking, one part traval, one part friendship and I guess one part music/entertainment drama... oh and a romance... Without Drama.I love most of the side characters, sweet fun to waych, goid friends and have lovely interdynamics. But it also has some really badly preformed, and badly written characters..
Both leads have their charm but to be honest this feels a bit like a teenage daughter of divorce with a cheeting father... sat down and fantasised with her friends.... And wrote some kind of extremely unrealistic fantasy. some kind of type of fantasy drama... more unrealistic than time travel, magical creatures types of fantays. The type that is there to makeup for all the wrongs of her family all at once with very little drama but also the female lead is portrayed as a kid/doll. Thus making me believe it is indeed a story written for kids.
The female lead has some fun bad ass lines here and there... as well as the occasional show of character. However most of the time her mimics, the way she is dressed, the way she runs, walks... are all a crossover between toddler and ballet dancer. Girl can fall asleep at any time and I'm pretty sure she is served milk at one point or another.
The male lead has no time yet is the one making all the desisions, cooking and what nott... he is also 7 years older than than the female lead with a huuuge maturity gap between them. However not a single person seems to mention the age gap... Normally age gaps don't really bother me but here the maturity gap is just too big.
I can't help but wonder about the brainstorming sesion when choosing the ml occupation and character.
Let's make him a voice actor
No we need more
Ok a singer
No we need more
Ok how about a healer...
No we need more
Ok he needs to be a master chef too
No that is still not enough we need more...
Hmm... ok lets take all of the above add some mistery and make all of this secret identitys and throw in a sviour complex and make him a director, planner and... and... a pioneer yes he was a pioneer too... + never had a girlfriend at age 29 because he was waiting for the right voice to come along...
How about the fl?
Fl... fl... hm... ok she can be a foodie who cant cook, composes but rather not sing her own song though she has a nice voice that can't hit high notes. Oh she should be a student too... maybe work at a supermarket or something like that... you know so girls can find something to relate to...
The show has the healthy mains relationship tag and is discribed as a geen flag... but honestly something about him keeps bothering me and though he doesn't force himself on the female lead even once, this is not really a relationship between equal. So my standards for healthy relationships is a bit different than this one...
My favorite characters are the groups manager and the two singers in the group whoem are waaay more interesting than the leads. I aloso loved the cosplayers. Fun to watch and a ship I would love to see the friends of this show in a Taiwanese spinoff...
The pacing is a bit off at times painfully slow... matching the theme song slowly slowly we fall in love... though the falling was fast apparently they had a parashoot with a propeller...
An okay watch with a whole lot of beautiful shots (mainly of food), and a whole lot of good (mainly side characters) but to much meh to get a higher score.

Too much of a good thing
First of all, I'm stunned I was able to watch 33 ~one-hour episodes of a love story that was resolved in the first few.The story is mostly about nothing, except Chinese culture and gastronomy. It's more of a postcard with THREE group trips and not much else. The group dynamic was disturbing a lot of the times. Even I was embarrassed for all the couples. The group was funny but too nosy and always there.
The main thing I have to point out is why are 30 yo men after college girls? That was probably one of the things that irked me the most. I don't find it cute or appropriate. They're in completely different stages in life. That's how manipulation starts in abusive relationships. He doesn't let her do anything with all the "surprises". He didn't even let her savour her graduation and had to put the wedding and their relationship at the centre of such an important time for her. He was, many times, condescending and that upset me a bit.
The pacing in this show is non-existent. I'm surprised, tho, that they didn't have more flashbacks and were able to fill most of the time with new scenes. There were many cute scenes, many funny scenes and the cultural themes were interesting. They presented the world of voice acting and traditional singing quite well.
Besides being able, for someone out of uni, to think they'll be able to buy a house (is the Chinese economy that good?), the other hard thing to believe is all the cooking. It looks like Instagram reel cooking and not real cooking. Everything is fast. All the dishes are done in no time. Taking over a restaurant's kitchen instead of eating with his friends is absurd as is ending up cooking for her family when he was the main guest. Who invites someone for dinner and has absolutely nothing prepared? Where do all the ingredients appear from, is he like Jesus with the fishes? Why would they buy something they didn't know how to cook?
I'm not familiar with what more recent Chinese dramas are doing but waiting 19 episodes for a kiss when they've been dating since episode 8 is absolutely uncanny. It was mostly a friendship until then, only after it was pointed out to them that it was indeed like a friendship did things start to heat up between them.
There isn't much more to say about the story because there wasn't much of a story. Everyone is nice and everything is good and there are no obstacles and the obstacles that are probably what, in real life, would end this relationship - like the fact that someone who is a doctor who has a second job and a university student who doesn't study and is mostly a supermarket clerk - aren't shown to us. It's good to have a sweet drama but too much of a good thing isn't necessarily good. There was no need for 33 episodes.
The voices are amazing. The performances both of the voice acting and the singing are fantastic. It made me curious about that world. The male lead has a voice that can move mountains.

SOOO sweet, wholesome and cuteee. Highly recommend
Came into this with only watching one trailer and zero expectations or knowledge of it prior BUT, the minute i started watching, i couldn’t stop smiling. My cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. Since episode 1 to the end, everything was just so wholesome and heartwarming. The development between the main leads were so natural and beautiful to watch. Def would of loved to see more of the side characters’ love stories developing more but overall still very cute. This was such a treat. Soo sweet. Such an easy watch, i couldn’t have asked for anything else. All the characters are adorable, the story was so easy to follow. The concept of voice actors was refreshing and interesting to watch. So refreshing as a romance drama. YES. JUST YES. I binged this show in 2 days and i don’t regret it one bit. Sad that i finished so quick tho. Highly recommendWas this review helpful to you?
absolute trash
No story, no character development, no charm or charisma at all amongst the characters. lots of sitting around a table eating. cooking and travelling to do nothing.I really don't understand what people are rating this so highly for. I'm quite tolerant and forgiving of bad dramas. The problem I have with this is it being so highly rated, I truly do not see it.

Music, Food & Love
Such a sweet story with no third party scheming, misunderstanding. Pure love & relationship.Mo Qing Cheng is a cardio doctor who is also a top dubbing actor with a huge fan following. He is an introverted, shy, matured guy.
Gu Sheng is a composer & singer who is a huge fan of Gu Sheng. She is pampered by her 4 cousins a lot.
Main leads awkwardness in their initial phone calls, don't know what to talk about. It was so cute because this happens in real life as well.
The way they executed food scenes is so eye-catching.
Loved & enjoyed each of Mo Qing Cheng's friends. I enjoyed & loved those scenes where Zhou Zheng, Feng Ya Song, Dou Bing, Wang Ke, Fei Shao, Mu Mu & Mo Bai they all teased the main lead. Mu Mu's feedback on everything was so funny.
Usually I would cringy with the cat sound between scenes, but I didn't, in fact, I find it cute.
My only complaint is that they would have made it into 16 episodes with a longer duration as it's a simple story with no misunderstandings, arguments, separation.
Love the OST
