This is probably the top contender for my genuine favorite drama I have ever watched.
If your hesitating about watching this stop reading and go watch it right now, I promise you will not regret it.

Just to set the record straight I didn't read the novel before diving into this drama and had no prior knowledge.

This is genuinely one of my favorite dramas of all time in all aspects. Lets first talk about the storyline, its a perfect mix of angst, love, and laughter, I think thats also what made me fall so deeply in love with this drama. I experienced so many emotions watching this, cried with Mingyi, laughed with 27 and Master She, and so much more. There was also so many romantic scenes which made this even better. Acting wise this cast played everything off perfectly. Hou Minghao has gradually become one of my favorite actors after this drama, his acting has improved so much and lets not even talk about how good looking he is especially in this drama. Lu Yuxiao also did such a good job as Mingyi and her acting is so underrated. The chemistry between all the leads were insane. Okay now when I tell you this was one of the best OST's ive ever heard I mean it 100%. The intro song and both HMH and LYX OSTs I was playing while doing everything. I'm so in love with this OST its insane like I don't know if I will ever move on. Rewatch value 1000/10, this drama deserves all the hype and imo it deserves more. I have nothing bad to say about this drama at all, im in love with every one of the characters and I do not want to leave my parents Mingyi and Ji bozai behind. This was also the first drama I watched while it aired, so I stayed up until midnight every day waiting for the next episode, I hope this shows how good it was.

P.S. the ending with pictures of the cast during filming was so cute, I am so sad that its over and the pictures only make me not want to leave them behind even more. I've never felt so attached to a drama so maybe thats why I actually started tearing up when it ended.

I am so happy I decided to give this drama a chance after seeing people bring it up so many times. So this is your sign!!

Lets first talk about how Tan Jianci plays this role perfectly, because Qiang Qingci's charisma is through the roof. The character is also so well written, he's literally a green forest, talk about dream man. Qiang Qingci can cook, he has a really nice voice, and he is also super caring. Shengsheng really scored with this man. Tan Jianci makes this role have more depth and I feel like he definitely carries this character. I also love Zhou Ye as Shengsheng, her naive and innocent look in this drama definitely brings her character to life. This pairing honestly never fails, because THEIR CHEMISTRY. This is definitely not a slow burn romance but in a way I loved it because the first 10 episodes I binge watched. The moment where Shengsheng and Qiang Qingci first met was honestly the best scene in the whole drama. I actually saw the sparks in the tension and also the chemistry in this scene was just everything. Also, the kiss scenes were so good!

Now lets talk about everything else, there definitely was some plot holes but the cast made up for this 100%. This is more of a comfort drama, as I feel like everyone gets happy endings.After so many sad endings that I've watched recently, this drama single handedly makes up for it. The ost is also really good, specifically 青梅引, since i've finished the drama I still listen to it! I am a sucker for good osts so this gets a 10/10 for ost. So sad I have to leave this drama behind, I'll really miss it but I definitely will be coming back for a rewatch sometime in the near future.

I don't want to leave the cast behind..

Personally, the cast saved the whole story. I was hooked on the drama until around episode 18, then the plot got kind of boring, but the characters were what ended up making me watch until the end. I absolutely loved SZY, and the ML's acting was so good. For me this is one of my favorite LXY dramas. Also an underrated opinion, but I loved Qingtai and Zhanlu they were so cute and also some of my favorite characters. As for the plot, I loved the dynamic between the ML and FL especially at the beginning, and their chemistry is top notch. Overall, this was one of my favorite 2025 watches especially before the plot dipped..

"When I chose you, I gave you my back... I'm only afraid that you won't trust me"

I have to say this drama's plot is really good, from the VR experience which was really cool to real life. The first few episodes had me absolutely hooked because i LOVE these types of plots where they know each other but haven't met in real life. Qin Xiaoyi was also enchanting. I was scared to start this drama because I thought it was just gonna be another historical and fantasy drama but was thankfully proven wrong. I ended up starting it for LYX and this one edit I saw. Okay, my ONLY huge plot hole that made me so annoyed that I wanted to quit the whole series was the whole Wang Guangming fiasco. That man wasn't even trying to cheat, the girl pulled him in and gave HIM a kiss, you can tell he was surprised. So if they just talked it out I feel like she would realize he wasn't trying to do anything. Also, remember that he had a startup and he needed Chixin because he needed the partnership, so he wouldn't immediately push her away and never contact her again which was understandable. Especially with 2 years of marriage and all those years of love she moved on quite fast and didn't even listen to him in the first place. I'm sorry this almost made me quit the whole series because I was so annoyed, it would have been fine if they made the man straight up cheat but HE DIDNT EVEN WANT TO, HE WASNT TRYING TO...

Anyways, the music was alright, everything else was good. LYX never fails to amaze me with her performances, the main couple was good. SML was pretty good as well. Everything else was really good! Personally recommending this drama!!!

"芳菲落盡梨花白"

This drama is a masterpiece. The revenge the angst, its all done right. I've cried watching this, laughed, smiled, literally everything. The cast was perfect, every single one of the characters either made me want to punch them, or support them. Even though I absolutely hate the scriptwriter for all the unecessary deaths like Tong er and Wen ji and Lu ji. Especially with Tong er's d***th making me ball tears even though I already knew it was going to happen. After finishing the drama, I think my favorite episode was by far the zither episode with Jiang Li playing 芳菲落盡梨花白. The song is still stuck in my head, and the ost definitely tied together the emotion. I tried not to spoil too much, but if anyone is still deciding whether to watch the drama go right now because its 100% worth it and go in blind!
