Best romance all the time?
the story is pure about love. love can change everything, give you the courage to face the world."go on, i have your back"
this one sentence makes lin yiyang forget about all the hardship and his trauma, so he can play billiard again.
the romance is SO GOOD. Leo wu perfectly play his role as a male lead! everytime i see them, i get so much butterfly. you can look into his eyes and feel the love between them. i need a man like lin yiyang for myself:((
P.S. : DONT FORGET ABOUT WANG XINGYUE. most all the time, he wear formal outfit and HE LOOK SO FINE AND HANDSOME! he giving the vibe of mature and perfect man, portraying the perfect "gege" in this drama.

love story full of tenderness
I'll be honest! I'm not a fan of cdramas because most of them are very long and so many chapters overwhelm me!but seeing myself in a blockage I decided to give it a chance to see something different... I loved it in many possible ways!
It highlighted the incredible chemistry of the protagonists that for me crossed the screens, a beautiful story of love and improvement where forgiveness and second chances are the protagonists
A special mention to the ost that has wonderful songs, a big fan!

Watched it in sept 2025 and felt like i was dating someone i love
If you want to squeal and giggle in your bed watching something so lovely, this is it. And if you ever feel like real love doesn’t exist, this drama might just prove you otherwise.✨ What this drama has:
• Healthy love
• No love triangles
• Genuine friendships and brotherhoods
• Emotional scenes that will make you cry
• Every episode worth watching
• ML and FL with amazing chemistry
I don’t usually write reviews — normally I just give a rating and move on to the next drama. But this one was different. It made me feel something so genuine that I couldn’t just stay quiet.

Here comes the smolder…
This is a great show for folks who consider themselves introverted and socially awkward and terrible at making conversation 😂 I loved this one a lot. It’s about two strangers who meet and have instant attraction (thanks for normalizing that btw), but then they have to figure out how to get to know each other 😂 It was so incredibly endearing to me, and it gave me all of the butterflies. Others called it cringe, but not me! I loooved their chemistry and awkwardness as they bonded over dining out and attempts at small talk. They did grow more at ease with each other over time, and I loved their relationship. If two people who are attracted to each other, but struggle making small talk doesn’t sound like something you’d have fun watching 15 episodes of, then don’t watch ✌🏻This was a great show to break up the intensity of high stakes shows, or if you’re struggling with a hangover from a show that had you in a chokehold. This one is slooooooowww paced with a simple plot. It’s relaxing, like a gentle breeze or a bubbling creek. Not much angst, no dragged out drama or miscommunications, no breakups; just pure chemistry, skinship and an older ML (by six years) who is sensual as hell and can set a brick on fire with his smoldering gazes. He’ll wrap you up in an all-encompassing hug, cocoon your face into his chest with his hand and gently kiss the top of your head. He’ll gently stroke your hair, whisper into your ear, and absentmindedly fidget with the hem of your sweater. The next moment he’ll press your body against a refrigerator and nuzzle your ear in pure, barely restrained lust and desire 👀;
…
ANNYYYWHOOO. And the crazy thing is that we actually did not get really any steamy make-out scenes or intimacy scenes on screen *grumbles*. But why does it feel like I watched an incredibly sensual show? I had to break my own tension that their chemistry created by getting up to get a snack or taking breaks 🤣
So yah my mind is probably 52.6% in the gutter, so I might as well talk about another important piece of the show, and that’s all of the gorgeous Chinese men in form-fitting formalwear holding cue sticks and showing off their physiques by leaning over billiard tables. Trust me when I say that you don’t need to give a f about billiards to enjoy this show. But you DO need to give a f about Leo Wu, Wang Xing Yue, Chen Jing Ke and Zhao Jin Mai wearing button up dress shirts, vests, and very… nicely fitted dress pants *ahem*. So I’m probably like 84.7% in the gutter now. Might as well just bring me some snacks and leave me here.
Sigh.
Other things of note. All of the bromance in this show is MWAH 🤌🏻 Loved LOVED the FL’s brother (Xing Yue). Loved her brother’s friendship with the ML. Loved Chen Jing Ke’s character. AAAALLL OF THE FRIENDSHIPS 🫶🏻 Loved the family love, both the FL’s family and the ML’s chosen family. Everyone’s cool. No drama.
Honestly, that’s all I got from this show. I zoned out for most of the billiards stuff because 🥱 🤷🏼♀️ Unless they were in their suits. Then I tuned in more. All of the English speaking pulled me out of the show here and there (it’s not the worst I’ve seen, but it’s still not great). The FL was too shy about the physical intimacy and kissing for my liking after dating him for OVER TWO YEARS, but hey- that’s her right. BUT COME ON GIRL. 🤦🏼♀️ I get that she’s six years younger than the guy, but she did act a lot younger than her chronological age which was a little annoying sometimes. She was between 21 & 24 years old and acted like she was like 12. Bless the ML, though. He was patient and respectful of her boundaries and was an overall saint. A mature, sexy, sensual, affectionate saint.
So there you go. This is my review. Thanks for reading. 🫶🏻

Must Rewatch!
Love love love this cdrama. So much so that I stayed up all night to binge the last 8 eps because I couldn’t stop watching. I will rewatch this cdrama again soon. I would put it right up there with L&P and Go Go Squid. The actors and the storyline in this cdrama didn’t disappoint. LYY and his facial expressions were on point. You could read a lot into his lingering glares. The chemistry between the ML and FL was amazing. I wished that the storyline with Lin Lin and MXD was explored. MXD should’ve gone on that last trip. He was so critical to their relationship development. Who did JY end up with? What happened to little brother Tian? Maybe there will be a spin-off as the storyline with Lin Lin and MXD story deserves to be told imo.Was this review helpful to you?
So cute!
This was a really nice drama. The main couple was very cute, and they had a lot of chemistry between them. Seeing them together put a smile on my lips. I loved them.Overall, I found the story a bit slow at times, but I liked how the plot developed. It had no major conflicts beyond the romantic story and the personal growth of the protagonists, mainly the ML, who had to overcome some problems from the past.
The only thing I didn't like was that it seemed like she was always dodging his kisses, even though they had a long, solid relationship. That frustrated me a little. I don't know if this was because of the age rating of the series or because the actors are too young. Anyway, I think that "turning the lips away" so many times was unnecessary; showing the tender interaction between the two of them was enough.
I liked the other characters as well and I enjoyed learning about snooker in Asia.

Predictable like any other Chinese romance drama
I like that the scenes aren't overly exaggerated/fake compared to the typical Chinese romance dramas, but everything is super predictable. I haven't read the novel, so I can't say it depicted it well or not, but I felt like it was mainly focused on their relationship and not as much on billiards. Moreover, they don't have many challenges to overcome. The little difficulties that come along the way are resolved naturally or with little effort. Everything went super smoothly for the ML, and I'm still not sure how he was able to afford everything for the FL despite being a "poor student." Their chemistry and acting weren't too bad, but the main leads are basically all over each other as soon as they get together. It would've been nice if they could've explored some of the other characters' stories like Jiang Nan, Meng Xiao Dong, and Lin Lin. It just felt everything was repeating and made it super dragged out.Was this review helpful to you?

Acosy, warm and lovely story.
The first thing that stands out it's the cast, which is conformed by some of the hottest and most talented young chinese actors nowadays, which includes Wu Lei, Zhao Jinmai, Wang Xing Yue, Chen Jing Ke and Wang Run Ze just to name a few.I think this drama it's a good choice for their careers as they are able to deliver more quiet, subdue and nuance performances in comparison to melodramatic historical stories. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love it's more on the mature and calm side of Dramaland, something that I really appreciated.
This is a soft-spoken story, a mirror to our leads' personality and relationship. There are no grand gestures, insurmountable challenges, or family opposition. Instead we find, front and center, a story about love, friendship and personal growth.
Tien Jen Huang and Yu Bo knew what they were doing. I am guessing Amidst a Snowstorm of Love had two directors because half of the dramas was filmed outside of China, and they had to combine filming styles of storytelling, rhythms and aesthetics, among other practical and technical things. Both teams did wonderful, maintaining the same leve of production through the entirety of the show.
If I have to mention something that bothers me, it would be the sport side of the story which inevitably ends on the characters trying to get to the Olympics. I like it more when the story focuses on their growth as people through their personal relationships. But this is a minor point in a bigger story that it's perfectly cosy, warm and lovely.
I recommend it.

This review may contain spoilers
After stumbling upon clips of this drama, I was intrigued by its charming aesthetic, prompting me to give it a watch – a decision I don't regret. 'Amidst a snowstorm of Love' delivers a delightful blend of slow-burn romance, endearing moments, and a touch of seriousness amidst the lightheartedness, all wrapped up with impeccable English dialogue rarely seen in C/K/J Dramas.Pros:
From the handsome leads to the heartwarming friendships and healthy competition, 'Amidst a snowstorm of Love' beautifully portrays themes of love, friendship, and ambition. Despite its slow start, the series gradually won me over with its adorable portrayal of falling in love and the dynamics of rivalry. Special mention goes to Meng, Yin Guo's brother, whose initially cold demeanor hides a heart of gold, promoting healthy competition and showcasing true sportsmanship. Yin Guo herself is a commendable character – strong-willed, independent, and amicable, she's a role model for empowerment. As for Lin, his character's development from a troubled past to a devoted partner is compelling, even if his perfection may seem exaggerated. The drama's portrayal of friendships and family dynamics adds depth and humor, resonating with viewers on multiple levels.
Cons:
While this drama excels in sweetness, an excess of saccharine moments occasionally detracts from its realism. Some viewers may find certain aspects, like Lin's extravagant gestures and excessive chivalry, bordering on unrealistic. Additionally, the narrative's focus on food and pool becomes repetitive, and the transition to Lin's career revival feels somewhat disjointed. Despite these flaws, the series manages to deliver a heartwarming conclusion, albeit with missed opportunities in certain character arcs.
Conclusion:
In summary, 'Amidst a snowstorm of Love ' offers a charming blend of romance, comedy, and heartfelt moments, making it a worthwhile watch for fans of the genre. While not without its flaws, its slow-paced narrative and engaging characters are sure to captivate audiences seeking a feel-good drama experience.
Ending with Lin's favorite word (i guess)
Cheers!
🍻
