Just and Fair

It took me a while to get caught up with this series but reaching this far I have enjoyed the dynamics of the major character and specially the storyline. There is appropriate context, tension, comedic and cute moments, justice and intrigue..THe acting is superb and the lack of superfluous characters and stories help me focus on what truly matter. So many of current C-Dramas falls victim to overdoing these series that it becomes long and dragging. Road to Splendor.s pacing is perfect.

Payback, and new paths ahead

Oh, Yake... Just as I expected, she almost ruined the operation. 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully, Tingyun and Ling saved the day once again by persuading Madam Yan to cooperate in exchange for the safety of her daughters. 😮‍💨I don't believe Madam Yu will let Yake live in peace after learning they lost the prince's reward because of her foolishness — and with it, any potential favour for her son. Also, she now knows Yake was one of the contributors to Tingyun's framing back then, which means that because of her, she lost Tingyun as her daughter-in-law as well... 🤨I am struggling with the idea of Tingyun and Ling going their separate ways, so fingers crossed Master Zhao comes up with something to make Ling stay with them... He wouldn't let the Crown Prince down, right? 😉🤞 Also, I kind of didn't expect Ling's career as Jiuweijiao to end so soon... 😒Clapping hard for how Tingyun got her payback on Yake, unmoved by her grovelling and begging. 👏 Yes, Yake, that's what you get for betraying your childhood friend! And Yake is the one who looks down on herself the most, making herself her own worst enemy. 🙄😐And now selling even more of her father's books to get some fancy wood? Her husband-to-be won't approve of that, nor do I, to be fair. 😒
