Generation to Generation Episode 2

Cai Zhao and Chang Ning are ambushed on a chain bridge and trapped over a cliff. Cai Zhao nearly dies saving him and is rescued by Song Yu Zhi. Chang Ning’s poison flares up, revealing an older toxin. He publicly exposes Madam Su Lian’s hypocrisy, causing unrest. Seeking protection, Chang Ning moves closer to Cai Zhao. She later uncovers his self-harm poisoning tactic but is shocked by his true appearance. Under Truth Incense, he mutters about “protecting father", deepening her doubts. He hints that Yin Dai framed Cai Ping Shu, prompting Cai Zhao to investigate the library.
