Beautiful disaster???

What bothered me so much about the show was the half-assed steamy scenes. No because like...WHY WERE THEY ACTING LIKE THEY DIDN’T KNOW THAT THERE WAS GONNA BE STEAMY SCENES??! Their chemistry? Which chemistry?

Like I’m literally considering it a mafia parody coz honestly it was a joke!

But a good joke, luckily.
I’ve never laughed that much in serious moments. Bless your eyes

Watch it in double speed and see how quick it’ll turn into a telenovela. Entertaining!

And why did we get a soft-faced mafia boss?? With no abs in sight...Are you sure he’s been doing any work? Stay-at-home mafia boss? Acceptable explanation.

Lemme not get started on Kim. If I was to describe him in one word, it’d be annoying. He’s so annoying and whiny. Mye mye little kitten

It may look like I have no nice things to say about this show but the truth is....I really don’t have anything nice to say about this show. ...except that it’s a good joke.

I recommend.

I stayed till end only for kamol

I had a love hate fun relationship with this series. It annoyed me with it's cringe or made me fall in love with its character or right out laugh in it's direction.
First thing first, i noticed a lot development in action of the actor playing Kamol. So much that he was the only one bearable to watch on scene along with the head maid, bodyguards.
The acting of few people was not worthy of the drama.

Kim's character was a modern day damsel in distress - a kind of character who is smart in his office work but annoying and dumb in difficult situations. Sorry to say but who told him to punch danai when he knew his Mafia Bf is having a talk with him. Dude they all are Mafia. It is dumb and not brave to interrupt and.punch a mafia goon. He is lucky most of the time he is the main lead.

Kamol forced Kim so many times in beginning for the relationship. I just wanted to tell at him you just not say-I will not force you- but you have to act it as well.

I was disappointed realising actor playing Kamol was not really fit for the role. But damn did he prove me wrong. He was damn right terrifying and made me beleive that he is the boss.

The villain danai was outright stupid that i do not even want to spend my time on him.
Danil was stupid as well though still bearable villain. But Kim just exposed Daniel's vulnerability to his brother while danil was still present there and kamol was there too.
If someone exposed me like that in fron of even one extra people, I will be more than annoyed and angry.

The arc of danil apologizing was farfetched for me. Many characters added could have been avoided.

And the another issue was the rushed ending of the kidnapping screen of Kim cherry and danil. The entire scene of fighting escaping blackmailing was filled with overused tropes.
Also i would have been shir scared if i was a small mafia boss and kidnapped the brother of a Russian mafia, but danai was stupid so I am.not expecting much logic from him.

Again the irritating event was how Russian mafia just appears and shoots danai and then after the shot hai bodyguards comes to him.His bodyguards are the most useless ones i have ever seen in mafia movies.

Another thing that annoyed me to core was how adamant the show was in showing bare abs of almost all male characters. How is that helpful to the plot unless you just want people to look at actors visuals rather than plot.

Another thing is I would have loved more little romantic scenes between three bodyguards and baboon and his bodyguard love interest.

Overall, it was a good show but i don't know if the jokes on show was more funny or the way characters caressed tigers like they were their cats was more funny.

Parola d'ordine: umorismo involontario

Terrificante.

A Series That Derails Its Own Train

"Unforgotten Night" arrived with the promise of a stirring narrative set against a backdrop of crime and passion. Yet, the series serves as a case study in how a potentially thrilling story can go awry when the plot decides to abandon ship.

Story:
From the outset, "Unforgotten Night" seemed to be charting a course into daring territory. However, it wasn't long before the plot took a sharp turn into the realm of the implausible and never looked back. The attempt to tackle the sensitive subject of BDSM was met with a mishandling that bordered on the offensive. Rather than presenting a considered depiction, the scenes played out with a carelessness that could only be described as disgraceful.

Equally jarring was the portrayal of the mafia. A role that could have been a nuanced exploration of power and vulnerability was lost to a performance that did not quite capture the gravitas one would expect from such a character. The youthful appearance of the actor could have brought an interesting dynamic to the role of a mafia boss, but the execution and direction failed to leverage this, leading to a portrayal that lacked authenticity and depth.

Cast/Acting:
The actors tasked with bringing the series' central couples to life faced their own set of challenges, most notably the apparent absence of chemistry. In a genre where the emotional connection between characters is pivotal, this lack of spark left the relationships feeling flat and viewers struggling to invest in the couples' stories.

Overall:
Despite the aforementioned issues, the series was not without its merits. #YoonTon delivered performances that outshone the material they were given, showcasing their acting chops and leaving a lasting impression. Their efforts provided a glimmer of hope in what was otherwise a murky narrative sea. The potential they showed begs for more opportunities to shine, ideally in projects that offer a canvas worthy of their talent.

In conclusion, while "Unforgotten Night" may find an audience that finds enjoyment in its offering, it remains a series hampered by its failure to fully realize its ambitious undertones. It's a production that will have viewers imagining the 'what ifs' had it lived up to its initial potential. Here's to the future endeavors of its cast, especially #YoonTon, who certainly deserve to explore a broader range of roles that can properly highlight their abilities.

Whyyyyyy?

WHYYYYYYY did I suffer through this? After having watched Kiseki:Dear to Me and HIStory3: Trapped, I was seeking other crime-adjacent BLs and thought I'd try a Thai one. MISTAKE. Or at least this was the wrong one. For some misbegotten urge, I started this and never fully quit it. Based on one top review that promised that they liked it because it was camp (i.e. so bad it's great!) I kept powering through, but to be honest, it was just boring. When I hate one male lead, don't care about the main ship, find the intimacy scenes snoozy, and feel the melodrama is so manufactured -- you'd think I'd drop it. But for some reason I just kept viewing the scenes through fast-forwarding. The only reason why I didn't rate this lower is that despite the frustrating storytelling, the production value wasn't too bad, and the actors, aside from the mafia boss were competent actors for what they were given. I hope they got the money and career boost they needed for this.

Don’t Ask Me Why I Loved This !

Believe me, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING good about this drama.
It is a train wreck, a brain-melter, and a certified disaster… and somehow that is exactly why it ruined my life.

Kamol was a freaking mafia boss who love BDSM and Kim was one who was a MESOCHIST and that's how they made up their relationship. Kamol was obsessed with Kim just because in their first NC scene Kim takes all the violence during the sex time and make him freaking happy. Like WTF is this ! Kamol becomes head over heels for Kim because Kim survives their first wild encounter and apparently that was enough to trigger lifelong devotion. Like EXCUSE ME??? Is this romance? Is this destiny? Or did the writers just spin a wheel labeled WHAT THE HELL and go with it? Let’s not even touch the story, because calling it “messy” would be an insult to mess.

When I watched this drama for the first time, my brain was physically screaming at me to stop. My soul felt uncomfortable. My common sense packed its bags and left. It was creepy, confusing, and disturbing in the worst possible way… and yet, somehow, also in a weirdly good way? My brain was like, “NO.” My heart said, “One more episode.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how addiction starts.

I genuinely do not understand WHY I am obsessed with this nonsense. There is no logic. There is no justification. There is only chaos. This drama grabbed me by the collar, shook me violently, and said, “You’re mine now.” And I just… accepted it. Against my will. Against my dignity.

So yes, in conclusion:
I FREAKING LOVED IT.
For no reason.
With no explanation.
Against all sanity.

After writing this review, I am absolutely going to watch it again because I am UNHEALTHILY ADDICTED to this disaster. Judge me if you want. I don’t care. This drama broke my brain, kidnapped my heart, and I am not even trying to escape.

Do I recommend it? Absolutely not. Will I rewatch it anyway? 100% YES.

Oh boy this sucks

I don't normally write reviews due to the amount of words needed but boy oh boy do I have words for this series.
First the story, oh my god its all over the place with plot holes and twist that make no since. However I wont lie and say I didn't keep watching it because of said plot twist. The stupid plot twist are the only reason I kept watching because of how stupid it was. I guess they did a good job at pulling me in to keep watching but I found myself skipping a lot of the story due to it being poorly acted.
So that brings me to the acting and boy oh boy this shit is cringy. I get it, its a Thai BL its gonna be cringy but DAMN this acting is unbearable at most and unlikeable at least. The decisions that the characters make are so unrealistic and make no sense. While all the characters are so unrememberable so I cant tell who from who.
Now onto the rewatch value. For me it has none, the story is full of scenes that add nothing to the story. They try to be apart of the plot but fail. Things happen so unexpectedly without any reason.
But yeah that the end, watch it if you want it sucks but I kept wanting to watch however I don't think I'll be watching it ever again.

…What

So many unanswered questions.
So many random moments that just didn’t make sense and served no purpose.
Honestly found myself super bored watching this. There wasn’t anything super memorable about this BL. Honestly I just watched it to fill in time while I’m waiting for Love in the Air to finish airing. I only finished it because I hate leaving shows unfinished if I can help it. I really really wished something had happened with the side couple (if you can even call them that) they introduced the idea of Baiboon and Khom forming a relationship together, but then they just left it hanging there. Nothing became of them. They just remained the same as before. They obviously both have feelings for each other but they just let that be and didn’t bother to do anything about it.

The main couple was honestly nothing spectacular. When a BL has really good romance and is super refreshing I find my self craving to watch the next episode every time. This show didn’t give me any of that. No butterflies from the romance parts. They could have made the romance so much better. There was no moment that ripped my heart out and I honestly missed that feeling of screaming at my screen “JUST KISS. JUST DO IT”. Now I am looking forward to finding a really good BL to watch after this to make me happy.

Neither bad, but not that good either.

First i would like to say that i understand why people don't like this series, but i am here to give the pros and cons of it all.
Plot: The story is rather good, but it's execution was a bit awkward at some parts and i easily skipped through the product placement bits cause it added nothing to the story itself. I also skipped a duo's parts cause, again, it added nothing much to the main plot.

Characters: The characters are not bad, but it lacked a bit more of construction specially on Kamol's hardcore bed preferences that were able to chase away any and everyone. Kim is also a character that had a nice base for it's character but ended up falling into the worst (my opinion) kind of BL cliché near the end.
Also, the character of Cherry is the biggest BL cliché of all. Ging Areeya (Cherry), who was great and sweet in "My ride", made me feel like they just tossed her here to add to the drama and with no base for her character at all, besides the fact that she is obsessive, annoying and incredibly beautiful. (Last one is my opinion)

Music: Oh, the music. This one was the worst of the worst. For all "tense" or "mafia" like scenes there was this ONE song that repeated again and again. Same goes for the main "romantic" song of this series. I heard it so many times that it felt like they were trying to brainwash me with it.

In the end, Unforgotten night is pretty enjoyable for a one time only watch and easily forgotten in the big sea of many other good dramas from the BL genre. I just gave this one a 6 point overall cause that 7 i already consider it to be the average for many of the dramas i watch.

Plot...Rinse...Repeat

In this series you will see a heartbroken guy have a one night involving bondage with a stranger who is a mafia boss and later finds himself to be a target of the stranger's affection. The same old, good guy falls for a bad man. There is stalking, forceful home imprisonment, constant surveillance and much more presented as something endearing. But what do you know! It works and he falls in love with the mafia boss. It appears like the producers thought of making a BL version of 50 shades of grey and after the first few minutes of Episode 1 just gave up on that the whole BDSM idea.
Although the plot has nothing new to share, but the performances by the leads could have elevated the show. Sadly, no such luck. Kim, who plays the morally good guy just looks confused during the whole series and Kamol who plays the mafia boss wanted to go for a stoic performance but looks bored throughout. The supporting characters did a much better job at holding my attention with their performances. But the one character that takes the cake is Danil. As soon as he enters a scene he steals the show with his over the top acting and I was all the more happy for it.
I am always interested in a storyline where the 2 main leads don't immediately fall in love and it shows a gradual progress in the development of feelings. This series eats up 8 episodes before Kim even starts reciprocrating the feelings. Until then it just moves from one plot point to another. Kim complains about being stuck in the house under constant supervision. Kamol convinces him that its safer for him to stay indoors. Kim then escapes his imprisonment only to be captured by the antagonist and has to be rescued and then rinse and repeat.
There are plots here that don't help in furthering the story. The story of Itt and Day was a waste and they could have been completely removed after Ep. 1 and nothing would be lost. They tease a romantic relationship between Baiboon and Khom but there is no definitive answer. And the one scene with the bodyguards that I will not state in detail, just comes out of nowhere and had me wondering "Why" and "huh".
The story was stale, performaces not upto the mark and plot repeating itself but I still enjoyed the series for the sheer ridiculousness of it all. Though I would have been happier to see a little less of the blatant product placements in each episode. All in all an interesting watch which can be repeated when you have nothing else to go for.

An easy, fun watch

First of all, I love a show with little, to no angst. I just had a good time watching this. The 3 guards plot point - incredible. Came out of nowhere to the point I yelled "WHAT?" outloud, but honestly it just fit the "why not?" vibe of the show. I enjoyed the chemistry of the leads and their general characteristics which, even though getting to the expressing of the (obvious) mutual feelings took a while, they still left so little fodder for misunderstandings to occur which I always appreciate.

So much to say, but enjoyed it!

SPOILERS! I absolutely loved this BL, but I understand why some people did not. However, it may be because I overlooked some things, but I genuinely enjoyed watching every second of this. Yes, some parts confused me and made me question, but to me, it wasn't a big deal. I believed this show got a lot more heat because it came out after Kinnporsche, which, if you've seen it, was a lot more mature. But overall, it doesn't deserve all the hate it has to me. It's a typical Thai BL, which usually is more on the cheesy side.

To me, the whole cast did not disappoint either. I was surprised to see Yoon, who plays Kamol, acting as a mafia boss because of his baby face. But honestly, he nailed it so well, I was shocked by how well the role fit him. Then Ton, who plays Kim, is heartbroken through the majority of the show because of his past one-sided love, but slowly heals because of Kamol? I loved it so much. I could see how upset he was, especially seeing Day with Itt. It made me laugh when Kim kept standing up to Kamol and everything, though he is a mafia boss. Their NC, BDSM scenes were more on the effy side, not too realistic but not too terrible or unbearable to watch. Which is why I believe people are hating on it because of the similar but better-made scenes in Kinnporsche. I generally did not care about it, though. The only thing I will say I did not like about their relationship was the way Kamol pushed Kim away when he found out about his and Day's past together. I found myself mad and upset with Kim about Kamol because it was hypocritical of him when he told Kim he did not have to share details about his past relationship because it did not matter to him. Then had the nerve to push him away once he found out. I believe Kim forgave him too quickly and easily. Like sir? No.

Moving on to Khom's and Baiboon's unique relationship. I'm not going to lie here, I wanted them to get together. I could see the chemistry there, but neither wanted to push into that uncharted territory. Even everyone else could see that they both wanted each other. But I can also understand why they did not get together. Khom is Kamol's bodyguard and is constantly being put into potentially dangerous situations. You never know what will happen. Also, Baiboon is much younger than him, so there's another layer to it. I believe he wants Baiboon to get out there and grow up, see other people, and generally live his younger days out without feeling tied down later in life because he never could see other options. Baiboon is young, bright, and sweet, but he isn't naive or stupid. He cares for Khom, and he can see past his lies. In the scene where Khom came out of the shower and was only wearing a towel around his waist because he thought Baiboon had gone out somewhere, he saw the bruise on Khom's back and questioned him. Khom lied to try to make him feel better and to also shield him, Baiboon saw right through it and heard the commotion the night before. He did not like being lied to. In that scene, the way they both were looking at each other, you can see the longing and restraint Khom had at that moment; he couldn't look Baiboon in the eyes. There are so many moments when it was just the two, the looks in their eyes do not lie. Their whole dynamic genuinely makes me happy. I just wish we could have had more of their relationship played out. I can understand why the directors and writers did not play or delve further into it because of the age gap and not wanting to deal with complaints, but I will still dream about it.

Next, the threesome between the other three bodyguards: Lop, Kit, and Ruj? Hello? I did not expect it at all, but I'm not disappointed. Absolutely loved every second of that shower scene. I don't quite have much to say about them individually, except that I loved it when Lop was in the middle of Kamol and Kim's love affairs 🤣

There's so much more for me to say, such as how Cherry's attitude and actions change towards Kim and Kamol were so sudden and fast paced. Or how the comedic relief we always got with Kim's assistants, Jin and Metawee. There's so much I can talk about in this review, but I'll end it here. Overall, I generally enjoyed it and would recommend it if you like typical cliche Thai BLs.
