Review is after second attempt to watch. My First attempt: 15 minutes through episode one and I was going to add this to my dropped list however, I read other viewer review first, and it convinced me to give it a second try.
This could have been a good one but.....
The director and film editor obviously didn't give their heart to this project. It reflects no care at all and that they did the bare minimum and collected their paycheck. The editing is horrible. Cut scenes were so obvious, and theres instances of camera not being focused or angled right. Theres scenes that were included that didn't make sense. Cheesy lines caused me to fast forward a lot. Awkward scenes are also included. And come on.... a threesome out of nowhere of people who works closely together???? I truly didnt see the necessity to add this to the story. Piano BGM was used too much in this series that it was hard to focus when hearing same BGM for almost every kind of scene. Wardrobe is off in some scenes and seemed like revolved within just 5 sets of outfits (I may have overcounted).
Ton Saran Anantasetthakul needs to take more acting class. Casting could have been done better; hardly any chemistry within the entire production casts.
This can be a construed as a mean review however this is my honest take for this series. I feel regretful because to me it is a good simple story that could have turned good if directed and edited better. As many negative things I noticed, I didn't drop watching it after my second attempt of watching because it has an "it" factor that kept me in my seat after I finished episode 1.
So give it a try, pass episode 1 and see if you wont finish it. I don't think it is enough for rewatch value tho.

It's a good one
I don't know why people giving less ratings to this series. May be people expected too much from it ( like kinnporshche ) but for me it's really good. The story is good unlike other similar University bls . Don't mind the bad reviews too much because people thought this series would be so much sexual but it's average. You can give it a try . Don't give hate to series or cast because every artist work so hard for one series but i think not everyone will like this series so much like me coz it's a particular genre that some people will like and some will not like . Other than main couple the other couples are also cute especially baiboon and khom ❤️Was this review helpful to you?

So good!
I don't know why this show gets so much hate. I absolutely love it and I was hesitant at first to watch another mob BL after finding KinnPorsche underwhelming. I do wish they went with the same ending as the book but I get that that would have been expensive. The actors are adorable and the characters are too.Ton did an AMAZING job as Kim, I don't know if anyone could have done a better job. I really wish more of the love Syndrome books got turned into shows but enjoyed the Day, Itt and Salmon cameo even Itt's love of cake. Was this review helpful to you?
Worth watching
I LOOOVED all the eyecandy we got especially the bodyguard's shower scene(iykyk)(my favorite scene!!??)The only 2 reasons why im giving it a 9 and not a 10 is because it annoyed me how Kim got mad all the time throughout the entire series at Kamol and how he would treat him?.
And i REALLY wish they would have incorporated an actual love story with Khom and Baiboon. Like why even insinuate that there's something brewing between them when nothing literally NOTHING happens?.
Other than that i enjoyed it alot and kept squealing under my blanket at night?

over all very good
I felt they left to much from, the book out. in the book kim had visible marks on him often. I was disappointed to not see the evidence I saw in the books. weather or not we see the "action" seeing the marks more frequently would have been better in my opinion loved the actors they chose for this! very good acting. the scene from the book in the car at the beginning when they went to lunch at the hotel, to much was missing. he (Kim) took another leave from work after that and "escaped" to day and itt's house with visible marks, causing the friends to be considered. dont always need the explicit scenes (thoough to be honest, however, i rather enjoy watching them, and find they develop the love between the characters deeper) i can understand why they are some times limited in the amount of explicitly. all in all I was impressed. Was this review helpful to you?

it's not as bad or toxic as people say
before I watched it I saw many people saying it was terrible, toxic and etc, but honestly it's pretty basic, there are much worse productions.as for acting, it's average, the secret is not to have high expectations while watching. the script isnt extremely elaborate, it has many repetitions of lines. the characters are ok, what I have to agree is that maybe the actor wasnt the right fit for the character of mobster.
surprisingly, even being a basic production, the whole context involving bdsm was consensual throughout the history.
It's a valid recommendation if you don't want to watch something too seriously :)

This is was so healthy for a mafia watch maybe I'm the problem lmao
So many thing about this I loved; the various languages, Kim's parents, Baiboon, Ith and Day, Kim's softness, the S/M?!, Danil!!!Overall it's an amazing story that def deserves the watch but also it's missing something to attract me, still one I'd reccomend (just to form ur own opinion) but I need more, maybe more romance less sex or maybe diversity in sexuality/personality/expression/emotions??
The green flags Kim was handing out FOR FREE!! woah I was genuienely thinking that maybe I'm the problem, that I'm toxic lmao. this was so healthy for a mafia watch lol

It just sucked me in for more and more
With mixed reviews, I wasn't sure about watching Unforgotten Night, but then I saw a clip on TikTok and decided to give it a chance. I have no idea whether it was good or so bad it was amazing, but it kept me coming back for more and I plowed through it and would watch it again. There was a facial expression on Kamol in the first episode that I feel should have been adjusted, but this may have been new territory for the directors so I can understand the error/confusion in directing that scene. Also? There is an ongoing side story that hits all the green flags and has such a reserved level of sweetness.Update: I've now watched the series three times. It's oddly become a comfort series for me.

BDSM
My first concern was that in one of the rare shows exploring BDSM, they didn’t go hard on the issue of consent. No safe word with a stranger?!?! Komol knows better. Also, these are the worst bodyguards since I watched KinnPorshe. Someone was always just walking right on in. Or flouncing right on out. Where was the communication?
Thirdly, I really want a spinoff of Day and Itt. Had me checking to see if it had already been made and maybe I should watch it first.
The giant tattoo and the drugged up kitties, not a fan.
Pushing past all of that, I stayed for the hand kisses (my new favorite thing) and the Princess treatment. I don't usually like mafia shows but I love that he was willing to retire for his boo. Usually it is the Princess who has all the extra love interests but this time it was the Prince, for a change of pace.
My absolute favorite thing, though, is how happy the littlest thing done for him by Kim made Komol so happy. That's goals right there. I hope they never lose that aspect of their relationship.

Not good.
I wanted to see more from the couple kim and the boss. I was bothered by the fact that Kim always ran away from the boss…..and often when things got exciting the stupid mobile phone rang…….Very annoying…!!!Too sad Khom and Baiboon didn’t become a couple…..they looked so good together……:-(…there was an attraction between the two.

i was almost dying while trying to finish
it was painful to complete it. shitty acting shitty shooting shitty story. it'll be in my top 5 worst bl list. a huge waste of time. at least it could've been so much better if they filmed it professionally and acted it realistic. the only thing i liked is baiboon and khom. just them. imo who has a good taste and high expectations from series would definitely hate. i can't understand why people liked this tho. lol. just trust me and don't watch it. go watch(or rewatch) bad buddy or not me cuz it'll be worth. Was this review helpful to you?

Better than I remembered
I watched this a while back and I think I saw it right around the same time as KinnPorsche. That, unfortunately, didn't work in this series' favor as, out of the two, I personally think KP was a better production overall. However, after watching this again, it's actually so much better than I remembered. As it's own story, without comparing it to anything else, this is actually quite good.
I don't want to say Unforgotten Night is "more simple," because it is certainly complex in its own way, but it didn't have as many plot points trying to war with each other like KP did. It was very straight forward and the storyline flowed together with progression pretty well.
One of the gripes I remember having with this series the first time around was the chemistry between the MC. I felt like, for a story that is supposed to be centered around instant love and obsession and melding of preferences, it lacked that aspect upon first watch. This time, however, I realized that the version I had seen previously was a cut version where they didn't show much of the intimacy or full version of the NC scenes and boy, does it make a difference. I mean, come on, if you don't know what you are getting into just by the movie poster and synopsis, then you are not paying enough attention. It didn't make sense to skimp on the smut so might as well enjoy it.
I liked that the main couple was the focus throughout which helped understand the characters better. There was enough of the mafia element to add the suspense without becoming stereotypical and there was enough intrigue with the supporting characters to keep things moving along. There was sort of a secondary couple but they didn't force too much time on them to make it awkward and left it open in a way to make us wonder will they or wont they.
I thought the acting was slightly above average though there were a few times I was like "okay, that was a little cringe." But there weren't awkward pauses or people standing around waiting for the next line and felt like a lot of it was reactionary as it should be. Yoon did a great job in keeping his stoic persona and when his emotions threatened to overtake, you could see the struggle he has to keep them at bay. Cherry was an interesting character where you love her one moment and hate her the next. I thought her arc was just as meaningful and went hand in hand along with the MC well.
And last but certainly not least, the lack of miscommunications and misunderstandings is a friggin breath of fresh air. Actually, the communication between the MC is bang on right from the start where they clearly state what they want and what they are looking for and go along accordingly. There were no hidden motives, no catfishing, none of that stuff and yet they still had an interesting story that made me hit the "next episode" button every time. There needs to be more shows like this where they can have dramatic storylines without the "silly drama," if that makes sense.
