Thank you for your post. I wound up watching this series as many of her actions resonated with me as I saw some of my autistic nephew in those scenes. I have watched other series and tuned out as they often misrepresent, exaggerate or downplay autism. My hope is this series will stay on course.

Thank you, these kinds of posts are really important. I thought the show did an amazing job, but I think it's also important to say that not all autistics are the same and/or have these 10 characteristics. Some will have more, some will have less and some will have others not in the list. ☺️

And she seems to have savant syndrome, which is something most autistics dont have 😕 Most people on the spectrum aren't geniuses or anything 😣

This is incredibly informative, thank you for posting this! I was wondering while watching the first episode (haven't finished the first ep yet as I JUST started watching it) was being accurate or not while representing Autism. I am glad to see so far they are doing it very well !!

Yes definitely. I am the same and I really liked the way they portrayed autism, I saw so many things that I was like 'that's so me!' and it seemed like someone, somewhere is making an effort about making people see the world through the eyes of autistic people
