In both, one of the leads has lost part of their memory and later learns they are a genetically altered person, while the other lead, who is a human with a cold personality, is searching for information on their parent(s) death(s) who were scientists and died under mysterious circumstances. In both, it's revealed that the scientists tried to save the other lead before their murder. Both dramas have a similar moody and dark aesthetic.
Both have the futuristic setting where humanoid robots have become common in society. Although both have different robot origin stories, both focus on robots having and learning human emotions, though its a bigger focus in "Humans". The main plot of the story though is different in both, with Humans focusing on the survival of a "family of robots with human-like emotions" whereas The Bionic Life focusus more on investigation and solving cases involving such robots.
