Where to begin with this literally history making show. I could write a whole 10 page essay about this show and it’s impact. However most people have already made those points of both the positive and negative. So I’m just gonna keep it short and sweet. This show’s crew and cast took a huge risk in making this drama and it really paid off. You can just tell there’s a high level of love and respect put into the production and performances of this drama. And is it perfect? No, not at all however I would highly reccomend this show to everyone interested in romance dramas and queer media. It’s worth the watch and is incredibly entertaining. I would be remiss if I did not bring up the show’s best attribute: the chemistry of the leads which is top tier! I’m just so excited to see the future of the gl genre unfold which GAP paved the way for.Was this review helpful to you?

MONSAM are everything
I love the chemistry between the leads. The story might be the best with too many plot holes but I watched it for the romance. They were cute and it's a good start for gl. Sam the boss lady was so hot pursuing Mon. We get to know she wasn't always this emotionles. Hate her grandmother. That bitch. Also don't like how that cheating couple got a happy ending. Mon and Sam's friends were one the best things about this series, the way they supported them throughoutWe see an overwhelming majority of bls but way less gls. Hope to see more gls from Asian countries r

Thailand's first GL, and also mine: not as impressive as I wanted but still enjoyable!
Pros: I don’t like romcoms but I wanted to start watching more queer dramas so here we are! Beautiful shots, nice humor, good acting from Freen. Mon is a kind-hearted and lovable person, I deeply sympathized with her character, and Sam’s friend group definitely steal the show – I know they’re comedic relief characters but they were my favorites. Excellent chemistry between the main actresses and beautiful social commentary on LGBTQ+ rights in Thailand. I even forgave Kirk’s annoying ass at the end. Really good sensual scenes.Cons: Never fully understood what Sam’s company was supposed to be about. Mon, although lovable, felt a bit one-dimensional; her entire character and personality seemed to be focused on her idol throughout her life, does she have no ambition of her own outside of Sam’s existence? I was pleased with her initial decision to leave for England after their breakup, it showed her taking agency outside of Sam for the first time. Didn’t buy grandmother’s “redemption arc” either – I understand that her character was supposed to represent the older generation struggling with conservative views but she never truly loved any of her grandchildren and didn’t deserve forgiveness.

I LOVED THIS SERIES
This is my favourite romance of any series, I think. It's insane to say, and I don't even like Thai dramas usually? I cried so much and it got the fangirl squeal out of me. SO MUCH. I'm a gay man and two women got me to fangirl squeal...I didn't like the music too much overall, but it's not super important to me. HOWEVER I will give it an 8 because Becky sings throughout and I absolutely love her voice.
Phreen has perhaps become one of my favourite actresses, just out of this and nothing else I've seen from her. Yes, this drama is momentous and historic, but even as a straight romance I would find this wonderful masterpiece of cinema exceptional.
My only real gripe is the fact that we didn't get to learn much about the co-workers, and that the grandmother was not more present throughout the plot, but honestly I think the way everything was done was absolutely exceptional.

DONT CANCEL ME PLEASE
I didn't watch this series until after Affair, I did hold off a bit but whatever I finally watched it and idk. Okay, acting was good but the story was just like bleh. I LOVE freenbecky trust, but this series was just a little cringe, especially freen's character, she just pmo and I know she's supposed to give that leave me alone vibe, which is why I said good acting, but it was kind of hard to watch. I had really high hopes with this series, and it was okay. I know this is THE gl show but idk for me it was love senior, which is worse but like there was nothing else to watch lol. Anyway, I really enjoyed the series, I did watch the re-runs so that's why it's ranked higher than my original opinion. Just a little cringe but I mean they paved the way and I know The Loyal Pin is better, i'll go watch that one soon. Was this review helpful to you?

Different From Others GL
It's a refreshing storyline compared to other GL.GL story lovers should watch this story because it is life-changing! Seriously!
From the smallest character to the main character, each character plays a very good role. This series is alive because every cast understands each other's characters. Their acting looks alive and real!
Each plot is not boring and not too difficult to understand but contains mixed emotions. Instead, it makes you wonder what will happen with the romance that is prevented by the family. But the combination of comedy elements brightens up this story.
Even the OST keeps stuck in my head! MUST WATCH!!!

Loved it
I loved this girl's love series. Yes, there may be ups and downs in their relationship but still, it was a good combination of the troupe and the way there was so much emotion just using their eyes and it was such a good show that I finished watching it in two days. I would recommend this show for those who want to kill time and there is no need to expect so much but just enjoy the show. The acting was so on point that the casting was so perfect for it. Freen was the best character for playing sam because she was so into the character that she literally bought it to life. This just made the show even more worth watching as I don't usually watch thai drama but this is definitely worth a try to watch. Hope that the two leads can have another more extended series like this again. Was this review helpful to you?

Very good girl love story. One of the best gl
I would recommend. very good. Love becky acting with Mon. Work very well and also freen.Very nice plot and story line and the actors are amazing. I love how the story is about A girl closing the gap between them. Which strengthens their relationship also how they met each other again after a long time period. Even though they have an age gap the still loved each other and don’t care about the gap between them which make them stronger. I would wish the Drama/series will be a little longer. But over all 10/10. You should definitely watch it.

Must Watch
It is a good Show also the OST Whisper By Freen Sarocha is epic; Many series have a lot of BS about GL/Yuri this is so straightforward and fully shows what it is about, a full and complete romance and comedy Yuri drama; two of the best I watched including yuri or another which is so good in terms of excitement and story only bad ending; but this one really good with a complete and good finish. m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m mm m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m m mWas this review helpful to you?
GAP: The Series — Thailand’s First GL Drama Breaks Ground
The story, adapted from an online novel by Chao Planoy, follows Mon, a young, energetic and idealistic woman who joins a large company in hopes of meeting Sam, her superior—cold, brilliant, and distant. The main dramatic tension lies in the gap between these two female figures: a social gap, an age gap, an emotional gap. The plot follows a familiar structure, using the classic office romance and CEO-intern trope seen in many modern love stories—which works well. But beneath this apparent contrast between innocence and coldness runs a deeper thread: that of mutual learning. Sam is not just the distant embodiment of female power—she is also the product of a patriarchal, conservative society, where being a powerful woman often requires sacrifice and a certain hardness. Mon, on the other hand, represents a freer generation, more open with her emotions, perhaps more naive, but also bolder. In terms of direction, the series remains simple, even conventional at times, borrowing heavily from romantic drama codes: slow motion, lingering glances, emotionally charged music. And yet, this simplicity serves its purpose—it’s not about subverting form, but about normalizing representation. Making lesbian love feel just as “expected” and “ordinary” as any romance on screen is, in itself, a quiet but real revolution.
Of course, it would be unfair not to mention the rare chemistry between the two leads, Freen and Becky, whose dynamic goes far beyond the script. Their performance transcends dialogue—it’s found in glances, silences, subtle physical hesitations. Through them, the series offers a queer physicality, a different way of filming desire, far from the male gaze or oversexualized clichés.
Naturally, the overall cast is well chosen and plays a key role in the show’s unique charm. While Freen and Becky carry the emotional weight of the story, the rest of the cast is equally memorable—funny and endearing, balancing the romantic tension with humor that’s sometimes absurd, sometimes tender.
The show’s greatest strength lies in how it situates this romance in a deeply political context—without ever explicitly framing it as such. The romantic stakes become a space of identity affirmation and negotiation, and that’s where GAP draws its power. The series subtly addresses the social constraints faced by Thai women: arranged marriage, filial duty, latent homophobia, and the rigid hierarchies of the corporate world. Through Sam’s journey—torn between her social position and her desires—we can read a quiet rejection of the role of the docile woman, the obedient future wife, the carrier of a silent patriarchal legacy.
Ultimately, GAP: The Series is a significant work that not only entertained, but also contributed to a more inclusive representation of sapphic relationships on Thai television. While it may have its flaws, its cultural importance and impact on the GL genre make it a must-watch for fans of queer storytelling.

personal opinion on gap (no personal hate on whichever party)
as gap being the very first gl series i’ve ever watched, i didn’t have any expectations apart from the shots and snippets that i watched from social media that led me to this series. one thing that made me quite upset was about the characters’ personalities. like for sam, i didn’t like how she lied to mon that kissing her and doing ‘all that’ before they became girlfriends was something that friends would normally do, like have u ever seen normal friends kissing and biting each other? plus, the scene where mon called sam and asked her about what their relationship status was, the fact that sam even brought up that she was quite a few years older than mon which meant that they can’t be in a romantic relationship, AND still kissed her as if they were a couple. but other than that, the acting and story is still good, it is not rushed and it flows smoothly. the actresses’ acting are good which made the series good in general. i’m surprised that this series is rated 13+ cuz from the looks of ‘certain’ scenes (iykyk), it looks more like 18-21+ to me [p.s.: i only knew about gl shows this year(2024) so i’m still quite new to this industry:)]Was this review helpful to you?
