The FL ruined this Drama for me!
After the first episode I knew that it was going to be hard to watch this FL. First of all, she looked like a pre-teen trying to be an adult, worse of all, a kick-ass heroine. Her movements reminded me of an ungainly newborn colt, not the smooth precise movements of a real martial artist. (I'm tired of these delusional heroine wanna-be's). Her acting left much to be desired, and her facial expressions made her look even more immature and almost comical in some scenes. Sorry, no more Song Yiren dramas for me - one and done!I didn't mind the ML, but his storyline left a lot to be desired also. I was really not enjoying the 'idiot' phase. And was it just me who couldn't find the FL's 'falling in love with him' and her pretended devotion to him appealing? Didn't SHE cause him to become that way from poisoning him? Did she ever own up to it and did the ML know it was her who made him an idiot in the first place? That's a pretty big loophole for one drama!
I liked the He family and their dynamic, and for me, the real tragedy of this tale was their demise - and the FL escaping their destiny. It was probably the most touching and heart-wrenching story arc, and the best acting of the entire drama. Pity they didn't know her part in the downfall of the ML.
Such a disappointment this drama was. The leads didn't even have any chemistry really. And what the heck was that ending?! I read a couple of reviews that said there was a bonus episode after Episode 26, but I have yet to find it. One review said it tied up loose ends and made the ending in Episode 26 make sense. I guess I have to go hunt that down to see if it can redeem the ending and make up for wasting all that time on this travesty.

Two separate worlds
Generally speaking, I liked the series. However, I didn't like the ending. It was not a pleasant ending. At first, I didn't find the lead actors compatible with each other. Irene Song is a petite type. His very thin face is a bit childish, if you look deeply you can also see an old face on the same face. He has such a face too. He is a chirpy, active, enthusiastic, childish type. No matter who he plays with, let alone Wang Yu Shouo, such romantic roles are not for him. I watched it as two separate characters. I watched Irene Song and Wang Yu Shou as if they were two separate personalities, I accepted them as if they were separate rather than together. They couldn't come together completely anyway. But as an actor, I can't say anything to anyone. The role assigned to Irene Song was too much. Also, he has been activated, he has become a general, he is fighting and overthrowing everyone in his path. But he doesn't seem to have the strength to raise his hands. 35 kg. A girl who weighs This role is too much for him. So wrong person. I'm not saying he couldn't do his role. It didn't suit him. There was no double. However, they played their roles well. The story was good. Drama scenes were nice. I felt like I was about to cry. I was so impressed. The activation scenes were also nice. The actors were good. The supporting cast was also good. I will not touch on the simplicities and mistakes. Because it happens in every TV series. There were many. But it can be watched. Unbearably poorly written series.
Watched 2 episodes for Wang You Shuo, but FL annoying, unbearable even + Plot full of nonsense. Started again out of curiosity with skipping and Speed 1.5 until the end.PLOT: The FL, a noble girl, super spoiled, a fighter, does everything to escape the marriage arranged at birth, with a handsome, intellectual astrologist. The entire FL family dies following a conspiracy, the ML saves her, but she poisons him. Continuing her revenge, she stays with the ML having a mental age of a 5 years old.
### casting error: Ireine Song does not fit the character, with her slender body and teenage face.
### the character of the FL, childish, hyper spoiled, stupidly aggressive, without logic, .... is unbearable!
### Inconsistent story: ML poisoned, finds himself with 5 years of mental age (until ep. 16)?? The master runs away with an “old” woman who has just given birth?? There is too much nonsens to make a list ლ(ಠ益ಠ)ლ
=> A great waste (poorly written story, unbelievable characters) despite Wang You Shuo's superb performance!

PLOT : La FL, fille noble, hyper gâtée, combattante, fait tout pour échapper au mariage arrangé à la naissance, avec un bel astrologue, intellectuel. Toute la famille de la FL meurt à la suite d'1 complot, le ML la sauve, mais elle l'empoisonne. Poursuivant sa revanche, elle reste avec le ML ayant 1 âge mental de 5 ans.
### erreur de casting : Ireine Song ne colle pas au personnage, avec son corps fluet et son visage d'ado.
### le personnage de la FL, puéril, hyper gâtée, bêtement agressive, sans logique, .... est insupportable !
### Story incohérente : ML empoisonné, se retrouve avec 5 ans d'âge mental (jusqu'à l'ép. 16) ?? La master s'enfuit avec 1 "vieille" femme qui vient d'accoucher ??
=> Un beau gâchis (story mal écrite, personnages pas crédibles) malgré la superbe performance de Wang You Shuo !

The Inextricable Destiny(2023) is a romance miniseries set in a historical era with Wang You Shuo as Rong Yu and Ireine Song as He Jiu Ling in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple really pulls in the viewer’s attention once they become a couple. The leading couple’s relationship is an intensed bittersweet one full of painful and heart tugging moments. The male lead, Wang You Shuo, did fantastically showing all range of emotions and mishaps that he endured; his facial expressions and body language gave the viewer a character that was brilliant, intuitive, passionate, flawed, and more, with the portrayal of the multifaceted, righteous, and steadfast lover Rong Yu. The female lead, Ireine Song, portrayed her character very well and gave the viewer a strong, sometimes a bit too mischievious (especially on the first 6 episodes), spirited, and self-sacrificing He Jiu Ling, a character that, despite her naughty and hostile attitude toward marrying Rong Yu became someone that could see the best of Rong Yu in his most difficult circumstances and also loved him steadfastly. Rong Yu and He Jiu Ling’s love and lives’journey was one of many struggles and inconstancy but they truly complemented each other. SPOILER ALERT: This drama would’ve been a solid 10 if it was not for the separation of the lead couple by her brought about by He Jiu Ling’s preposterous master when the couple needed to be together the most which let to a rushed, just cute, bland ending and the fact that, although Irene Song gave a great performance as the rascally and later on, supportive and steadfast partner to Rong Yu, her body language and facial expressions don’t ooze passion and romance; now, having said that, her agonizing moments can crush the viewers’ heart and have one in tears in a cinch. Overall, this is a good and entertaining drama, enjoy it and have a pack of tissue close by!

Love it
The impossible to know at the end of the drama they reconnected and reconciled as a family with their daughter. This drama are full of surprises especially to those lead actresses and actor they portraying the characters very well. Indeed shoutout to those lovely couple Song YiRen and Wang YouShou well done guys. My excitement they never failed even now I am still watching the clips of their drama and BTS as well because I can’t move on yet that its already end the drama. I liked the drama only because of side story .A man has fallen in love with a lady .The lady loved someone else. Due to some reasons she had to spend time with him . A tragedy had occurred because of it the man life was in danger and somewhere the lady was responsible. So she took responsibility to cure him .In this journey an accident had occurred and the man insist of improving ,his mind turn into a new born baby . Then she slowly slowly helped him to walk, to eat and to talk and this way they had a good bonding . Again a tragedy had happened with her and such circumstances had occurred that she had to marry him . Slowly slowly she came to know the truth of her family massacre and the man's family was responsible of it . This is the reason they separated . Things were improving but the guilt made man not to accept the lady . She accepted the reality and they separated . Again an accident had occurred and he sacrificed his life inorder to save her . she sacrificed her youth to save him. And she started living in solitary. And after some days they both getting week and she was the verge of death . This had shown upto 26 episode. If the story end up here then a big disappointed.
Thanks to side story which gave the happy ending .
What i missed in the drama their chemistry . They were good together but they don't have a single scene where they accept each other feelings and spent happy moment .. they spent a good times when he turned into a child.
What i like about the drama is the male lead acting.
He was just amazing. I enjoyed watching his acting.

WOW...just Wow .... a bumpy rollercoaster it was ! NO REGRET
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO WATCH AND EVEN RE-WATCH 100/100To say this is a bumpy rollercoaster of emotions ....might still be an understatement.
FIRST of all WANG YOU SHUO.... that man is beyond words an incredible actor. I have watched many actors and many dramas in my life but i have only met few actors quite like Wang You Shuo who can make you feel every bit of emotion by merely his eyes and facial expressions.
I am a person who does not cry easily and especialy not something that is fictional or acted out , it takes quite some remarkable acting to make me shed tears..... but the way he portrayed this characters every emotion even hit me deep in my heart and made me cry numerous times during the course of this series. My utmost respect for his portrayel of Rong Yu....WOW is all words can say to express and explain how deep this incredible man can touch your heart. BRAVO !!
Now the overall story is very good , it has a lot of Angst but at the same time it is well balanced with the joyful scenes between the two main characters i won't spoil much as you just have to go and watch it but SPOILER AHEAD if you want to keep reading this review
. I have to say the ending might be a bit messy in my upinion with how everything seemed a little rushed and confusing with the very ending being quite different then what you'd expect. They went for a happy ending but it felt rushed and messy with how Rong Yu was yet again near deaths door and He Juiling doing everything to save him we had pretty much expected that ,
but then onwards everything became quite chaotic and a big mess.
A sudden pregnancy , He Juiling aging fast,
the sudden reveal towards Rong Yu and then being left knowing he had a child and He Juiling was ok after the treatment of her master they dissapeared leaving him there like he was some kind of evil wich in my honest upinion he didn't do anything to deserve this there might be people thinking differently but from my upinion after watching this he didn't deserve this at all.
Then suddenly ending up (let's say around 4 or 5 years later) when the child is already grown a lot and Rong Yu meeting them again. I didn't much expect an explanation but i had hoped for a better way of telling that part because now He Juiling wanted to leave after Rong Yu held his daughter and asked ''what about my child...what about me?'' full of tears about to be shed and He Juiling looking not anywhere near close to letting him stay but then suddenly turns smiling they get closer and without a word or anything else to show atleast a bit of what was going on the series is done....
it would've been great to see some more of that reunion if the parts before had to be that chaotic without any proper filling or explenation for some parts it would've been lovely if that last scene was longer or we got something more about them getting back together and Rong Yu connecting with his daughter and how they would react towards each other because it would be very unlickely if a strange man picks up a small girl she wouldn't be wondering who that man is and why he called her his child. We don't know if He Juiling told her about her father in those years but those are all little things that could've made the ending less messy and chaotic then it was.
The Ending was messy but that DOES NOT TAKE AWAY that the series was INCREDIBLE in the entirety of the story. The actors all did an incredible job and as i know a lot of them already i was very pleased to see how they handles and portrayed their roles in this amazing story with a bumpy ride ahead. I overall LOVED this series and it is deffinitly added to my list of Series i would love to re-watch again maybe even soon.
show all your love and support for this series and it's incredible cast by watching this to the fullest and let the story take you away....or more so let the characters touch your heart as they did mine.

It’s a good drama with good actors the chemistry between the leads are good
Its have its ups and down .Some scene where good some you might find boring but the two lead star were good and had a nice chemistry.
The funny scenes was when the lead actor had turn to a kids mind set. Some times funny and some are sad.
The female lead acting was good even though its hard to believe a small girl be fearless and a general.
Bit over all it was fun to watch it has its moments! Childess love and innocent care and a woman whi wants to repay or undo what she did in the past.

what I can say about this drama for me is that the story is very good and the actors and actresses who played the roles are excellent, in this drama you can see and measure how much they love each other, and I know how pure he's love He Jiuling to Rong Yu, he did everything for the person he loved to live even if it cost her life,this is the best drama in 2023,this drama is complete, it will make you laugh, it will make you smile and it will make you cry, in this drama I cried a lot, I really feel the pain that He Jiuling feels when his whole family was killed. It looks silly, but actually it's very good
I'm actually surprised by this drama. I thought I wouldn't like because I'm not really a fan of childish behavior or fool characters.But if you get pass the childish behavior of the FL in the beginning, you are gonna get a nice drama.
The story is pretty interesting, something different and gets more deep as it goes by.
The actors are very good, you can related to the characters, especially the He family.
The production is good, nice costumes and scenarios.
Overall, it is a good drama,

My Goodness.......
I randomly stumbled upon it on TikTok and decided to pick it back up after like two years. Honestly, what kept me watching were the little cute details and the FL’s character development—it was pretty solid. Plus, the ML acting all goofy? Kinda adorable. The way he was trying to help her, and then FL doing everything she could to save him? That hit right in the feels. Oh, and the little emperor stepping in to help her get revenge? Chef’s kiss. But man, there were so many moments where I was just sitting there like wtf. First off, they offed General He and her whole family way too smoothly—like, really? That’s it? And was I the only one thinking Rong Jiang’s hatred was a bit over the top? Also, FL being pregnant and going to war as a general for months even after he got cured? Girl, how did you not notice?? Make it make sense. And the villains? Dumb as rocks. They got wiped out way too easily. But the peak stupidity? When ML just straight-up stopped looking for her. Like, hello? Knock knock, maybe he shouldn’t have been cured, ‘cause apparently, the illness was the only thing keeping his brain working. And don’t even get me started on the ending—it felt like they just chopped it off. Like, what even happened after that??Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing Actors, Questionable Scriptwriters
Amazing actors! I love almost every drama with Ireine Song, her acting is amazing! The ML was also very good and very convincing when his character became a "fool".I loved the FL's whole family, I hate the way things ended up and honestly the ending of the FL should not have been that way. So much time wasted just because the scriptwriters couldn't think of a proper happy ending or sad ending. I am a firm believer in either having a happy ending or make it a sad/tragic ending. Why have such a bittersweet ending? My heart hurts thinking of both the ML and FL's sacrifices but then the ending is supposed to be happy and yet I do not feel happy? Bad scriptwriting!
Would I recommend watching this? Yes because the FL is truly doted upon by her family and fiance (ML) in the beginning, it was so sweet my heart felt warm. Everything went to shit after but still, it was worth watching and finishing. I would not watch again though!
