The lakorn that will keep your heart warm
Matalada is the story that you have to watch at least once in your lifetime. We get to see the positivity of the world through Matalada's POV, and that's plain beautiful. I do understand if some people might think that it's not realistic. But sometimes that's what we seek in life... not about being realistic or anything. It's about being true and helping others around to be true.

want a cute watch that will leave you slightly teary eyed this is the one for you
To the moon and back is a cute heart warming Thai drama with elements of serious topics concerning themes of prejudice, violence hate and love the drama is worth the watch because it presents these topics in a relatable and thought-provoking manner. The characters are well-written and their development throughout the drama is captivating. The chemistry between the actors is also undeniable, making the romantic aspect of the drama even more enjoyable to watch. Overall, To the Moon and Back offers a perfect blend of heartwarming moments and important social commentary, making it a must-watch for any drama fan.Was this review helpful to you?

She will win you over!
It took me a long time to finish To the Moon and Back, and I mostly blame that on the flood of great C-dramas being released lately. With the season keeping me indoors more often, I’ve been catching up on series while crocheting, and this drama—though highly recommended to me—was one I started slowly and took my time with. That said, once I spent a few focused days watching it, Mata’s character completely won me over. There were several moments that brought me to tears simply because the story was so genuinely wholesome. To the Moon and Back is, at its core, a gentle love story about healing. Dr. Purim carries the emotional weight of being the “perfect son” for his father, while Mata grows up in a loving, unconventional family that often faces criticism for not fitting society’s expectations. Yet Mata remains happy, free-spirited, and endlessly kind, even in the face of judgment. That warmth—her ability to meet the world with compassion rather than bitterness—was the biggest reason I stayed with this drama.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a character like Mata, the kind who is effortlessly lovable and quietly transformative. She wins over everyone around her—Purim’s father, her grandfather, and viewers alike—without ever trying to change who she is. As MDL perfectly puts it, the two bond over baking (and stray dogs), and Matalada’s warmth and unconventional family life slowly fill the emotional void in Purim’s heart.
I don’t want to spoil too much, because this drama truly deserves to be experienced. The build-up can feel slow at first—I certainly felt that—but once you understand the characters and their histories, the story settles into something deeply comforting. I can’t praise the characters enough, from the leads to the supporting cast. They warm your heart like a fireplace on a cold day, and you can’t help but grow attached to every single one of them.
This is one of the things I love most about lakorns: the supporting cast is just as memorable and meaningful as the leads. They aren’t just background filler—they’re essential to the emotional core of the story and add so much charm and depth.
I highly recommend To the Moon and Back to anyone looking for something wholesome, joyful, and emotionally healthy—not just in romance, but in family relationships as well. This drama is a reminder that love, kindness, and acceptance can be healing forces.
For me, this was an easy 10/10.

Engaging characters with Good Story
I have watched many of the ML dramas but in this one he is totally not the macho, domineering good looking male lead. Instead he is intelligent, thoughtful and respectful to others ( may have a little autism maybe). Even though you bite your tongue waiting for him to become more assertive with his parents -he finally is able to so while attempting to keep his relationship with parents. The FL is definitely sassy but has had her share of heartaches but she is neither mean or hateful because she’s got this large support system especially her transvestite “ mother” who teachers her to be the better person. I had a difficult time accepting the actor who plays her father in this role but I came to like his character. Give this Lakorn a chance. I like lakorns cause you get to feel as an audience member many emotions in just one episode- anger, frustration, laughter, pity, jealousy, etc. instead of special effects the actors and the story take you on a wild ride. Was this review helpful to you?

Your Happiness Matter
A very lighthearted lakorn and i have to say, i was expecting it to be super dramatic but it was not. Yeas, ML’s family was the typical rich family who wants him to be perfect and marry someone similar to him.I love how its a mix of comedy and as hint of sadness plus romance. Maybe to others, its a slowburn between the ML and FL but to me it was just right. The took their time to know each other and the ML took his time to figure out his feelings for her and what he wants to do which i really like. The ML knew about his family and thats why he refuses to love someone because he doesn’t want them to suffer the same fate as him.
Overall, this lakorn shows you how opposites attract and although our ML is not the typical cold rich doctor but i prefer him this way. He knew his boundaries with the other women and rejected them when he realises his feelings for FL. Oh, FL on the other hand is perfect. She played her character well and i really love that about her.

A little gem of a comforting Thai series ╰(✿´⌣`✿)╯♡
Thai series, a plea for the LGBT+ cause, very cute and positive (for once).PLOT: Improbable meeting between a "perfect - A class" surgeon, with toxic father - submissive mother, and 1 FL illustrator, raised by a group of Drag Queens, free-minded and warm. She will gradually release the ML from his father's grip.
PROS:
+ A perfect production to serve an unusual story. It tlaks about romance, but especially family (with toxic parents), family ties and homophobia / discrimination / etc., with sensitivity, humor and intelligence. RARE !
+ a cute CL (James Ji & Toey) with a top-notche chemistry.
+ Great actors who bring endearing characters to life, especially the “Cage” gang.
+ No slap/kiss, gratuitous violence, Great Villain.
+ Nothing special about the OST.
### Well, the Happy Ending, with the awareness of everyone's mistakes, is a bit far-fetched, but it's fresh & cute.
=> I wish to watch more series like that, and I'll rewatch it with pleasure (and it's rare for me to rewatch something :)
********************************************************************

Was this review helpful to you?
