not bad but not good

It started out well, cute, but it got boring as the episodes went on. I didn't expect anything from the plot, typical reverse harem, but I was still frustrated by how everything developed in the second half of the chapters. If I kept watching it, it's because the cast is amazing and the supporting couple was adorable.

It's not the worst I've seen, but there are other dramas that are more worthwhile.

DROPPED. this is boring

already on episode 5 i was bored and didn't want to suffer any longer, watching the drama between the main characters. this isn't even half of it, but there's already so much going on.... it's somehow too much for a light romance.

and I'm a little worried about this idea that the FL falls in love very easily, and not just gives free rein to feelings, namely, opens up to a person, begins to dating immediately. it's pretty weird to me that it's like she's friendly with everyone but sees in every guy potential boyfriend.

maybe someday i’ll continue this when i want something beautiful and slow

A lighthearted show that should not be taken too seriously and a thoroughly enjoyable watch

I had very low expectations for this show, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself counting down the days for the next episode every week ever since I binged the first 4 eps.

This show is not very complex (although it definitely gains more depth as the episodes progress), but it is entertaining and interesting nonetheless, especially if you like romcoms and don't require an in-depth plot in order to enjoy a show. I really enjoyed the pacing and how quickly story arcs resolve and new arcs begin.

In my opinion casting was done extremely well and the actors were believable as their characters. I absolutely love the soundtrack and immediately downloaded the OST after finishing the first 4 eps.

This show reminded me of Business Proposal (something about the use of comedy brought it to mind, it is definitely romcom comedy not just slapstick comedy which I detest seeing in romcoms since it just kills the romance) as well as Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo (if they attended an arts university instead of a sports university, also the male lead still having a soft spot for his ex when she is in trouble and said ex wanting to get back together after abandoning him)

I will definitely be rewatching this show in the future since it does not heavily rely on plot twists and reveals so the joy from watching is mainly from seeing the characters interact. While this is not a particularly layered or deep show, and I have seen shows that were much higher rated and more complex, I have to say that I found this show more entertaining than the vast majority of those shows. I'm all for high stakes, compelling themes and complex narratives but in my opinion a show falls flat if it can't entertain me.

Lastly, I feel the need to point out that it is a bit misleading that this show is presented on MDL as having 5 main characters when in reality the main characters of the show consist of the 3 characters that make up the main love triangle (they're the only ones on the poster for a reason). I do like him as an actor but I wasn't specifically watching the show to see him and yet I was still caught offguard by how briefly Kim Hyunjin actually features in the show (I think it's roughly 2 and a half episodes and I don't foresee him reappearing in the 2nd half) and I think this will also apply to the 4th Male lead who has only just been soft launched half way through the show.

I will update this review when I have finished the last third, but I have seen 8/12 episodes so far.

JUSTICE FOR JI WON!!!

At the beginning, I was excited to watch this drama, afterall the actors, actress, their acting & visuals are perfect. But as I continued, I dislike the plot now.

Ji Won is the perfect guy; he loves Banni deeply, cares for her immensely. He declined her sister's request to visit exhibition, just to spend time with banni. Whenever she felt depressed, he stayed with her, cared for her. He always made her feel deserving. Despite his efforts, she always left him. She choose Jae Yeol over him 😭, I feel bad for him. He's literally so kind, sweet, and truly deserving to be with Banni more than Jae Yeol, who took her for granted.

Jae Yeol, he no clarity about his own feelings, he's quite selfish. In the beginning I loved him till Yeo Rum appeared, he changed, he started being anxious in case both Yeo Reum and Banni were around, as if he was afraid to hurt and lose both of them, ain't this a Playboy act?!! He got stuck between past and present, he ended up hurting not only Banni but also Yeo Reum. Why did he give hope to Yeo Rum, if he was he asked to break up with her for real!!

I struggle to understand Jae Yeol's actions and the plot's direction, especially why Banni would choose someone who made her feel worse. According to me, this drama ain't worth watching, it was a waste of my time and tears 🙂.

Beauty isn't everything

I would really love to see these actors really get a script where they have to act and they can show off their skills. Because appearance isn't acting.

The story was so poorly written, that it was so obvious that the ending would be a happy one " we all got our love".. Their was no story every story line they killed with stupid plots they never used.. The mother/the parents/the love love triangle... All wasted for just plain boring storytelling.

The acting was so bad I hoped jeong eui would have a better charachter where she could finally act... But she was just a plain voice of visual looks nothingbspecial just looking simple lovelydovely in every scene.. Same for the other ML actors... Just a waist.

In the end it as cringy to watch because it was giving the vibe "this is going to be good... It can will be better in the next episode"

Bani and Her Boys – A Love Triangle That Spins Its Wheels

This drama had the right setup: an insecure yet ambitious art student navigating love and self-worth, with two seemingly compelling love interests. But instead of delivering character growth and heartfelt romance, Crushology101 offers a repetitive, exhausting love triangle that leaves you yelling at your screen.

Bani's character starts interesting. She’s been burned by love and struggles with self-esteem while admitting she's drawn to attractive men. Fair enough. But what’s frustrating is how the writers have her play this never-ending emotional ping-pong between two guys: Hwang Jae Yul, a design student with ambition, and Cha Ji Won, the "perfect" chaebol heir with a pushover demeanor.

And honestly? Both male leads are duds.

Let’s start with Hwang Jae Yul. For someone who’s already completed his military service, you’d think he’d have more emotional maturity and situational awareness. Instead, he handles everything like a moody teenager. The minute his ex shows up, he completely loses focus. One moment, he claims to like Bani, and the next, he's letting his ex pull emotional strings like he’s never seen drama before. He can’t set boundaries, can’t communicate clearly, and completely undermines whatever progress he and Bani have made.

Then there’s Cha Ji Won, Mr. Pacifist. While he might be kind and thoughtful, his whole “I’ll stay by her side no matter what, even if it’s just as a friend” act is frustrating beyond belief. Sometimes, actions aren’t enough. Words matter, especially in matters of the heart. If he truly likes Bani, then say it. Pursue her. Putting yourself in the friendzone under the noble guise of “just wanting to be close” helps no one, least of all himself. It’s passive, it's frustrating, and it leaves you wondering if he even knows what he wants.

And don’t get me started on the ever-present, drama-stirring ex, because of course the show throws her in, just when things might progress. She hovers like a housefly, completely disrupting things with zero pushback from the people she’s meddling with.

Crushology101 feels less like a love story and more like an endless loop of indecision, weak communication, and missed opportunities. The characters don’t grow; they circle the same issues, dragging the audience with them. If you’re hoping for satisfying romance, real emotional maturity, or a heroine who chooses decisively and moves forward, you might want to look elsewhere.

Why call it Crushology 101? Oh, because it absolutely feels like a freshman-level course in how not to handle your love life. Think of it as a beginner’s guide to mixed signals, emotional limbo, and making bad decisions look deep. Want a masterclass in stringing people along, dodging honest conversations, and turning “romance” into a strategic game of who-can-be-the-most-confusing? Congratulations, you’ve found your curriculum. The title promises some kind of thoughtful look at modern love, but what we really get is a study in emotional immaturity, topped off with a sprinkle of high school drama masquerading as character development.

In the end, Crushology 101 isn’t a love story—it’s a romantic treadmill. Lots of motion, zero progress. The characters don’t evolve, they just keep rehashing the same tired mess, dragging the audience through every sigh, stare, and passive-aggressive meltdown. If you’re hoping for satisfying romance, emotional depth, or literally anyone making a decisive move, you’re probably in the wrong class. Drop it before midterms.

here we go..

firstly, i didn’t see anybody recommending it until i was scrolling through the website i watch k-dramas on and found ut, the nae made me pretty interested, so i added it to my list, i would’s finishe dit in a really few tiem from how interesting it was but i there were some days that i was too busy i didn’t even open my laptop. the story itslef is pretty good, it’s kind of like an enemies to lovers situation, ngl, i wished that she was with the artist, i was too dissapointed when i found out she won’t be with him, a part of me still wanted yeol though. i liked their situation, the fact she broke his ipad and then he fell first and she fell harder. i started to dislike their situation from episode 10, the fact he was kind of insecure lowkey gave me the ick. he broke up with her because she did what she loves? crazy. but at the same time u would understand his opinion somehow, i mean the other guy had feelings for her at some point. at the end i wished she would be with her “first love” since he was such a gentle man. i didn’t watch the reat of episode twelve because it was lowley annoying me so i skipped till the end. overall, i wouldn’t watch it again because of how many plot twists there are but i woudl definetly recommend it.

3 Reasons Crushology 101 can skip your watch list

“Crushology 101” stirred hypes ever since its arrival date was announced. Jong Eui, who captivated the audience through her stellar act in Hierarchy and paired again opposite her co-star from the same story, Chae Min, has been instigating the interest of the audience.
A sculpture student who had her eyes only for handsome men started dating a nobody because she felt beautiful men did not like her. But the real intention of the doofus gets aired, and she dumped him hard. In her era of a new chapter, she breaks the tablet of Jae Yeol, and he starts using her support. Also, the arrival of a new student in the frame, Ji Won, starts to stir emotions.
Crafting a good and intriguing school drama is not just plain tough, but a hard task. But this story, helmed by Kim Ji Woon, tells why the audience still watches The Heirs. From failing to craft an intriguing plot to creating meaningful and swoonworthy twists, this series is more gullible than its name.
Lack of strength exhibited by characters and poor cinematography- this story fails to keep the spark alive, even at the tiniest level.

VERY GOOD UNIVERSITY DRAMA ! Don't listen to negative reviews

On paper, Crushology 101 seemed to be yet another romantic drama in the vein of Yumi's Cells, with a heroine surrounded by multiple suitors. However, despite its soft and pink universe, the series manages to stand out thanks to its benevolence, its light themes and especially its university setting - rather rare in the genre, which often remains centered on high school.

I didn't read the original webtoon, but I hope it offers a little more depth to some characters. I regretted that some, although highlighted on the poster, finally only make brief appearances, almost like simple cameos.

On the casting side, the main actress was excellent! Even if I am not always convinced by all her roles, here she literally radiates: sunny, smiling... a real pleasure on the screen. On the other hand, I had a little more trouble with the character played by Lee Chae Min, whose sometimes too passive attitude frustrated me a little.

Overall, I fully validate Crushology 101! It's a drama without a headache, without a heavy love triangle - yes, a second suitor is present, but he never represents a real threat to the main couple. And frankly, it feels good!

Visually, it is a real bouquet of flowers: some may not have hung on to the very "sakura" and pastel aesthetics, but for my part, I found that this soft and flowery atmosphere fit perfectly with the universe of the webtoon and the spring freshness of the poster. A coherent and successful visual choice in my opinion.
OST IS SO GIRLY AND SWEET !!!
The romance is delicate, tender, and what I particularly appreciated is the absence of really toxic or malicious characters. We have a good time, even if, sometimes, we can regret a certain lack of depth or the absence of stronger secondary subjects. But at the same time... a little lightness, it doesn't hurt either!

The ending is pleasant, and each character manages to solve his or her own problems, finally expressing what he or she has on his or her heart.

In summary: a sweet and refreshing school romance not to be missed!

10/10 !

Love it!

It has been a long time since a series has put a big smile on my face and a song in my heart. What is better than young love and beautiful women and men. This series follows Bunnie and the men that fall in love with her. I hae finished 9 episodes and cannot wait until episodes 10, 11 and 12 come out.
