DROPPED. this is boring

already on episode 5 i was bored and didn't want to suffer any longer, watching the drama between the main characters. this isn't even half of it, but there's already so much going on.... it's somehow too much for a light romance.

and I'm a little worried about this idea that the FL falls in love very easily, and not just gives free rein to feelings, namely, opens up to a person, begins to dating immediately. it's pretty weird to me that it's like she's friendly with everyone but sees in every guy potential boyfriend.

maybe someday i’ll continue this when i want something beautiful and slow

JUSTICE FOR JI WON!!!

At the beginning, I was excited to watch this drama, afterall the actors, actress, their acting & visuals are perfect. But as I continued, I dislike the plot now.

Ji Won is the perfect guy; he loves Banni deeply, cares for her immensely. He declined her sister's request to visit exhibition, just to spend time with banni. Whenever she felt depressed, he stayed with her, cared for her. He always made her feel deserving. Despite his efforts, she always left him. She choose Jae Yeol over him 😭, I feel bad for him. He's literally so kind, sweet, and truly deserving to be with Banni more than Jae Yeol, who took her for granted.

Jae Yeol, he no clarity about his own feelings, he's quite selfish. In the beginning I loved him till Yeo Rum appeared, he changed, he started being anxious in case both Yeo Reum and Banni were around, as if he was afraid to hurt and lose both of them, ain't this a Playboy act?!! He got stuck between past and present, he ended up hurting not only Banni but also Yeo Reum. Why did he give hope to Yeo Rum, if he was he asked to break up with her for real!!

I struggle to understand Jae Yeol's actions and the plot's direction, especially why Banni would choose someone who made her feel worse. According to me, this drama ain't worth watching, it was a waste of my time and tears 🙂.

Bunny and her oppas where???

Im not very apt at writing so this is gonna be a mess of a review but I just have to get this off my chest.

I was confused when I saw they were adapting a webtoon that only had one season but I decided to give it a go, as that one season was pretty fun and light hearted. They took the plot of the first two chapters, used the main character and two of the guys from the webtoon and then threw the rest of it in the trash.

Now im not saying the source material had major potential as a drama, in fact, it had too many oppas and the humour may not have translated over too well. But my gosh, why say its an adaption of a story if you arent even going to use the story? They turned this silly little webtoon in to a melodramatic miscommunication-fest of BORING!!! worst part of it, they removed my favourite character/turned him in to another person who is kind of evil???WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT TO MY HIMBO JOCK?!?!

Overral this drama was such a waste of not only the source material, but the great actors and the phenomenal soundtrack. Seriously, this ost slapped so hard.
I recommend reading bunny and her oppas!!!

Beauty isn't everything

I would really love to see these actors really get a script where they have to act and they can show off their skills. Because appearance isn't acting.

The story was so poorly written, that it was so obvious that the ending would be a happy one " we all got our love".. Their was no story every story line they killed with stupid plots they never used.. The mother/the parents/the love love triangle... All wasted for just plain boring storytelling.

The acting was so bad I hoped jeong eui would have a better charachter where she could finally act... But she was just a plain voice of visual looks nothingbspecial just looking simple lovelydovely in every scene.. Same for the other ML actors... Just a waist.

In the end it as cringy to watch because it was giving the vibe "this is going to be good... It can will be better in the next episode"

heavy 2 lead syndrom

In Crushology 101, it annoys me so much how Bani always chooses the wrong people—either because of their looks or simply because they show feelings for her early on. None of those relationships felt genuine. Out of all the guys she dated, the only one who truly cared about her was Ji Won 😭—and he got rejected! What kind of messed up drama is this? Honestly, he had everything, and it would’ve made the most logical sense if she ended up with him. This show could’ve been so much better if she had choosen him

Bani and Her Boys – A Love Triangle That Spins Its Wheels

This drama had the right setup: an insecure yet ambitious art student navigating love and self-worth, with two seemingly compelling love interests. But instead of delivering character growth and heartfelt romance, Crushology101 offers a repetitive, exhausting love triangle that leaves you yelling at your screen.

Bani's character starts interesting. She’s been burned by love and struggles with self-esteem while admitting she's drawn to attractive men. Fair enough. But what’s frustrating is how the writers have her play this never-ending emotional ping-pong between two guys: Hwang Jae Yul, a design student with ambition, and Cha Ji Won, the "perfect" chaebol heir with a pushover demeanor.

And honestly? Both male leads are duds.

Let’s start with Hwang Jae Yul. For someone who’s already completed his military service, you’d think he’d have more emotional maturity and situational awareness. Instead, he handles everything like a moody teenager. The minute his ex shows up, he completely loses focus. One moment, he claims to like Bani, and the next, he's letting his ex pull emotional strings like he’s never seen drama before. He can’t set boundaries, can’t communicate clearly, and completely undermines whatever progress he and Bani have made.

Then there’s Cha Ji Won, Mr. Pacifist. While he might be kind and thoughtful, his whole “I’ll stay by her side no matter what, even if it’s just as a friend” act is frustrating beyond belief. Sometimes, actions aren’t enough. Words matter, especially in matters of the heart. If he truly likes Bani, then say it. Pursue her. Putting yourself in the friendzone under the noble guise of “just wanting to be close” helps no one, least of all himself. It’s passive, it's frustrating, and it leaves you wondering if he even knows what he wants.

And don’t get me started on the ever-present, drama-stirring ex, because of course the show throws her in, just when things might progress. She hovers like a housefly, completely disrupting things with zero pushback from the people she’s meddling with.

Crushology101 feels less like a love story and more like an endless loop of indecision, weak communication, and missed opportunities. The characters don’t grow; they circle the same issues, dragging the audience with them. If you’re hoping for satisfying romance, real emotional maturity, or a heroine who chooses decisively and moves forward, you might want to look elsewhere.

Why call it Crushology 101? Oh, because it absolutely feels like a freshman-level course in how not to handle your love life. Think of it as a beginner’s guide to mixed signals, emotional limbo, and making bad decisions look deep. Want a masterclass in stringing people along, dodging honest conversations, and turning “romance” into a strategic game of who-can-be-the-most-confusing? Congratulations, you’ve found your curriculum. The title promises some kind of thoughtful look at modern love, but what we really get is a study in emotional immaturity, topped off with a sprinkle of high school drama masquerading as character development.

In the end, Crushology 101 isn’t a love story—it’s a romantic treadmill. Lots of motion, zero progress. The characters don’t evolve, they just keep rehashing the same tired mess, dragging the audience through every sigh, stare, and passive-aggressive meltdown. If you’re hoping for satisfying romance, emotional depth, or literally anyone making a decisive move, you’re probably in the wrong class. Drop it before midterms.

young audience drama

The series is originally aimed at a young audience, roughly 18–25 years old. While this demographic focus could work, the script itself is rather flat and features some problematic or irritating character mindsets. The primary emphasis is on aesthetically appealing characters rather than narrative depth and emotionally flat.

In contrast, in another project, Jun Young proved to be far more compelling, demonstrating how the choices of a director and screenwriter can significantly shape a series’ quality. The same applies to Lee Chae Min
: there is a clear distinction between his two most recent projects, highlighting how thoughtful direction and strong casting can make a substantial difference. And Roh Jeong Eui the same thing.

Cute but Not for Me

I stopped watching around episodes 4–5. The show started off interesting and had a lot of potential, but as it went on, the story felt a bit predictable and became too light and sweet for my taste. It still has some enjoyable moments, but overall, it didn’t fully match what I usually like in a story.

boring

started off with the cliches but it was bearable because they were kinda aware of it and gave a different feel like over-romanticizing the whole college surroundings. plus bani just finding multiple men liking her was funny to watch but then they went ahead with a love triangle and miscommunication. is it so hard for people to actually say anything???? if yeol and bani's relationship had developed in the background while bani was finding options left and right it would have been a bit different than your usual dramas. the fl's performance was better here compared to hierarchy. the cinematography of the first few episodes are great but we loose that too

It's okay....

my final thought when finishing this was "... well that was okay..." like not great but not bad. I agree with others that this is a "filler drama" lol. The chemistry between leads was good but the story got so repetitive and boring at times that I think I only finished it because I watched it as it came out.
The really smooth filter they have on all their faces drives me nuts lol. I felt like it lost its comedic edge that it had in the beginning- that was disappointing.
But all in all, it's your basic kdrama. If you want eye candy, it has plenty of it. If you want drama, it has some of that.

One redeeming quality is the one girl I thought was going to be a jealous backstabber ended up not being one. I hate those plots lol.

The acting boosted the score a lot and I found a lot of the side characters very charming

Biggest Disappointment of this Year!!

This was a boring, cliche harem styled romance that I wanted to get done with; I could finish this entire review in this one line!

This is one of those shows that starts in a promising way, forgets itself in the middle and lands in a puddle towards the end. By the end of the first half, you don’t mind question yourself about the purpose of watching this show. For me, it was the sole desire to watch it till the end and I persevered. Regrettably, the show falls back on its intend- the premise being quickly forgotten. Bunny, a top sculpture student at Yein University, once believed personality mattered more than looks—until a failed relationship left her embarrassed and insecure. Now, she admits to liking good-looking men but struggles with self-esteem. You might question this logical conclusion- because not all good-looking men are actually good, nor bad looking men are that bad. So how Bani comes to this illogical conclusion that changes her life forever forms the cruz of this show. Then we are taken on a journey of 12 episodes where Bani falls for every handsome man in her Campus before finally settling down with the most handsome one albeit also the most grumpy of them all. Her inner monologues will leave you hilariously satisfied, so there’s that!

here we go..

firstly, i didn’t see anybody recommending it until i was scrolling through the website i watch k-dramas on and found ut, the nae made me pretty interested, so i added it to my list, i would’s finishe dit in a really few tiem from how interesting it was but i there were some days that i was too busy i didn’t even open my laptop. the story itslef is pretty good, it’s kind of like an enemies to lovers situation, ngl, i wished that she was with the artist, i was too dissapointed when i found out she won’t be with him, a part of me still wanted yeol though. i liked their situation, the fact she broke his ipad and then he fell first and she fell harder. i started to dislike their situation from episode 10, the fact he was kind of insecure lowkey gave me the ick. he broke up with her because she did what she loves? crazy. but at the same time u would understand his opinion somehow, i mean the other guy had feelings for her at some point. at the end i wished she would be with her “first love” since he was such a gentle man. i didn’t watch the reat of episode twelve because it was lowley annoying me so i skipped till the end. overall, i wouldn’t watch it again because of how many plot twists there are but i woudl definetly recommend it.
