Hello !
I am a professional musician, and I have a deep love for art in all its forms.
Whether it is a creation of the highest artistic caliber or a work of popular culture, I take pleasure in relaxing, dreaming, and sometimes retreating into my own little world with Korean and Chinese series and films. Even in these moments of leisure, I maintain a sense of critical analysis — to enrich myself, to explore the cultures of the world, to question the socio-cultural aspects of our generation or those of past generations, to understand historical contexts, even if my engagement is primarily for enjoyment.
For me, art can indeed be classified into two broad categories:
A) high art (the pinnacle of global artistic achievement)
B) and popular art (such as mainstream culture).
Within both of these overarching categories, there is a further gradation: major works , legitimate works, and minor works.
Even within the realm of mainstream culture, one can categorize:
major works of minor art
and legitimate works of minor art
minor works of minor art
I have never harbored hatred or harsh judgments toward any form of art.
I strive to remain open, receptive, and respectful toward the constructive perspectives of others.
Taste and perception are deeply subjective, shaped by personal experience, past and present, emotions, connections, and the context of one’s receptivity.
Yet, it remains essential to retain a sense of analytical and objective discernment in relation to one’s own values. In an age where the masses dictate and easily influence our thoughts and ideas, this critical awareness is more vital than ever :)
