The title implies my opinion for the show
A new KDrama of 2023, Love To Hate You is a show which feels like it will make some valuable contributions to address misogyny in the society, restricts itself to a romcom show which is nothing new in a Kdrama world.Undeniably, the series got to a fair start with girl vs boy stereotype, but rather being an interesting turn of events in their romance, it was just a dull realisation of each other's feelings that made me disappointed towards the characters as well the story writing of the show. Well atleast it gave a happy ending within 10 episodes without dragging more unnecessarily than it already was starting to become.
My Rating : 5.5/10

He fell first and He fell the hardest (tip :ML confessed in ep 8)
Lately, I've been trying to get out of my k-drama slump and watch some lighthearted rom-com's , Business Proposal did the trick but I wanted more, If you are in the same position as me , you can watch this drama. It's relatively shorter (10 ep)compared to the other standard k-dramas(16 ep), so you can probably complete it in a day or two of binge watching . The drama tell the story of Yeo Mi Ran (FL) she's a lawyer, and is also good at mixed martial arts, she's pretty brave, selfless and speaks her heart. The ML is a famous actor and generally gets anxiety attacks near women. I personally think that the ML really knows how to set boundaries and to show the people who are trying to break(first love) it that he belongs to FL. Although the FL is quite experienced with men, but she didn't really have a heart-fluttering romance until the ML came along. Their romance is starts with a dating contract due to a scandal coverup. The ML's manager/best friend and FL's best friend start to have some feelings towards each other later in the series. Both the ML and Fl have been cautious and suspicious of the women/men approaching them in their lives. ML's reason being the ex(celebrity/actress) . The ex returns to act in a drama with him and she can't seem to grasp the idea of him getting over her and starting a relationship with FL(commoner/non-celebrity/not-so-pretty) and tries to act all coy and tries to start the usual drama like, "oh! he didn't tell you that we were each other's first love ,I guess I shouldn't have told". Anyway, It's looking good so far, hope to see a happy ending for both the main and side couples. Was this review helpful to you?

Ruined by misguided feminism
To say that I was disgusted by this series is an understatement. I only started watching it because it was the only English dubbed kdrama I could watch on Netflix. Oh boy I think staring at a blank wall would have been so much better than watching this nonsensical show. What I didn’t like about the series.
First of we have our fl, who has a body count of 100+, she brags about how men to her are just for sex, she changes them as fast as she changes her clothes. But since she is the fl we should root for her right? After all she is such a cool fighter who feels justified in beating the shit out of any man who she deems guilty.
Also what was that with the ml and 2nd ml being all in each other faces, kissing and all that? I ain’t homophobic or anything but it kind felt like they were just forcing it seeing both men were clearly not gay. Maybe one of them was but I never got that far to find out. I just felt like since we know the main couple will be m/f spare us the queer baiting please.
The message I got from this show is that all men are bad, cheaters, worthless, and women are justified treating them like crap and judging them without any clear evidence of them actually having done anything wrong. I’m sorry I’m all for equality and lifting everyone up but not at the expense of trashing the other gender. I don’t like shows that preach such a message that it’s okay for women to do the things and be what they hate men for.

Light rom com
After watching several dreary and boring dramas on Netflix, Love to Hate You is such a refreshing strange.First time to see both leads, (can't remember them fro Arthdal) and love their chemistry. It is always nice to see a kdrama with mature actors. They bring in a totally different vibe.
Kim Ji Hoon is now one of my fav actors. He's proving his versatility by tackling different roles since I first saw him in Flower of Evil. He is also one of the characters I like in Money Heist. I wish he would be given a lead role in a rom com soon.
I wish this drama was longer (around 12 episodes), but the pacing is fast enough that the viewer doesn't get bored at all.

Eh
I was recommended by another person to watch this drama. it started off boring but some people were saying keeps watching it get better. as i gotten to ep. 6, it did not get better. the plot is very boring, the comedy tried very very hard to be funny when it just made me cringe. it felt very dull and this was my second attempt watching this.I can agree that when you first watch this series. it is somewhat entertaining because you get hitched. but who ever directed this movie really tried feminism in the wrong way and that’s coming from a woman.

Three episodes in and I give up
It's so confusing. The story is all over the place. They are taking the longest road to bring out the story l. The actors are barely convincing. I have never seen a drama where I'm detached from ALL the main characters. ALL OF THEM. The ML is emotionless, the FL is a clown. Also can they stop with the wierd audio sounds like sheep and dogs barking, they add nothing to the story. Those people giving high reviews, which show are you watching? The story is not convincing, the jokes are sooo forced. I keep falling asleep every time I start watching. This one has refused me.

Much better than Business Proposal.
The show is so much fun. There is so much laughter and the acting is pretty good too. It definitely helps when your male leads both of them are so hot. The female lead is a total badass and so refreshing from other heroines. She is more real because of who she is ,what she believes in and is honest. We need more Women like this.
The law firm is a joke like an old men's exclusive members only but very good acting by all.
Some cliches but the OST is fab and the sea scenes, the Chemistry, the desire and resultant tiredness all real and alive.
Lived the drama and 10 episodes was perfect.

Almost Perfect
I love a badass female lead--and a well-executed trope! A bit over the top? Completely ridiculous? Likeable characters? Count me in!There is a lot to like here, and I rarely felt bored with slow scenes (the 10 episode format helps)... Alternatively, the pacing was a bit quick and I would have loved a couple extra episodes to see them flesh out their relationship better. However, I do love some level-headed romance, fun characters, and humour, so this has earned a top spot for me.
However, I am holding off watching the last episode and a half, because I don't want a lackluster ending to change my opinion of the show! Currently sitting at 9.5 out of 10 eps.
The chemistry between the characters was on point--which is something lacking between a lot of shows that seem to choose leads for their star power rather than their chemistry together.
My only critique plot-wise is that it's a little too perfectly symmetric and symbolic with the leads, their issues, their closure with their ex's... And the ending was a little cliche--I hate a forced cliche. I would LOVE to see a drama where the it doesn't follow the established formula, and I admit I was a little disappointed to find out the main leads weren't gay.
Can we have some romcoms where it's not so formulaic where the ML and FL will hook up, and SML and SFL are forced together, and something happens and they break up, kiss, make up/or make peace and split? Anyway, that's not a critique of this specific show, but of dramas in general.
Speaking of which, the second female lead is a bit too immature and annoying to take seriously. The male leads are great, and overall it feels like a good contrast to many romcoms out there...

female lead carried
What stood out for me was the female protagonist. I'm enjoying this new trend of female characters being more independent and goal-oriented. Also, kim ok bin did the series justice with her acting. That's what I would like to call perfect casting. I finished it for her character only. To all the haters out there, not every character needs redemption or development. If she was a man, you all would thirst over him.I choose to be a villain and say that the plot-wise this drama isn't something extraordinary. Honestly, I was prepared for the worst outcome since the same screenwriter wrote my id is gangam beauty. Nevertheless, the comedy aspect of the series is surprisingly well done

I wanted me ?
Why would they just release 10episodes? Godness this show was literally making me feel certain things 😫 the last time i felt this wat was when i saw “Scandal” Kerry Washington series nonetheless this series is way too matured and has one of the greatest plot ever and i hope we can get another season. The world needs to see more of Teo Yoo, dude is such a brilliant actor and the way he expresses himself is too graceful.. Love to hate U is highly recommended 😁😁 I wish it had 16 episodes but I’m praying for season 2 🥹

Soooo Freaking GOOD!!!
I Devoured this series in one sitting! I just couldn't get enough, I was up till 6am finishing it! Love to hate you was just sooo good! It's a short series with only 10 episodes. The cast is new to me except the secondary couple. The Cast makes you instantly fall in Love with them! This was a refreshing feel good drama, full of cute and quirky with lots of laughs and many swoon worthy, squealing moments! It's been hard to find something as good and addictive as Business Proposal and I have to say Netflix really hit the nail on the head with this one! Also I feel like the vibe was the perfect blend of mature yet still fresh. A more settled atmosphere, with the male leads being 40 in this drama and our female leads being independent and strong. There was little to no drama and I feel like that really made it enjoyable. Was this review helpful to you?
Hidden Gem
"A good person isn't someone who is just nice, but someone who changes others into nice people" — love to hate you, ep. 9Y'all...I am gaggeddddd! I don't think there is a better feeling in this world than when you stumble upon a hidden gem like "Love to Hate You" randomly and end up loving it. This mature rom-com has pulled some strings on my twenty something year old heart and I couldn't be more grateful.
It's so FUNNY? Like, belly-laughing, coughing up water, snorting type of funny??? I absolutely LOVE when an entire ensemble visibly has a funny bone because, my god, there wasn't an episode where I wasn't dying from laughter. The plot isn't something you haven't seen before but they just do it so well. The line deliveries are incredible, the chemistry is INSANE (like let us breathe for a sec...WHEW), and lessons learned from the characters are unforgettable. We are who we are because of the people around us and we too can change because of them. Heartbroken this drama is only 10 episodes long but I think they have done us all a favor by doing that because I would have become insufferable, like actually.
If you're looking for a light-hearted rom-com that falls more on the mature side, I *highly* recommend watching Love to Hate You. It has everything and more and not the mention the four leads are FINEEEE. Wherever you lie on the sexuality spectrum, GOOD LUCK, because they do not play with the visuals in this drama.
