Easily the best romcom of 2023

I got to the point where all romcoms started to look similar in one way or another. I wanted a breakthrough romcom and LOVE TO HATE YOU was it . I didn’t realise it would be this good as it’s not that hyped. It has top notch comedy and steamy romance that I’ve been missing in kdramas. The tension between the main leads is fire. I was honestly so tired of the childish romcoms and this drama was refreshing as we see adults romance. It was fresh and updated.

The way the main lead couple were opposites yet soo similar to each other. She is a feminist who doesn’t trust men and he doesn’t trust women. Somehow they are comfortable around each other and fall for each other. But the way they fall is soo hilarious.
Kang ho did seemed like a jerk in the beginning but my god he grows on you and damn. He is hot at times and then cute other times. I totally fell for him.
Mi ran girl you rock !! We need more FL characters like her in kdramas.. She is not your typical , conservative, and timid female lead. She is a free spirited, fierce boss lady. Absolutely loved her vibe.
Kang ho and miran together were fireeee. They were quite a perfect pair who could deal one another because they are both competitive and like to win. Loved the tension between them.
Now my most favourite Mr. Do won joon. Man he is hot with his calm and collective personality. Loved the bromance between kang ho and won Jon 😜
One of the best Romcom kdrama that i have watched in a while. Had me laughing and blushing like crazy.

REFRESHING DRAMA!!

I've got not much to say....
but the drama is so refreshing

I've never laughed in a long time
you just have to watch it and enjoy yourself
don't watch it with the purpose of finding faults or using logistics to watch the drama
the Chemistry is really amazing for me....
I enjoyed it so much that I'm giving a review which I normally don't do
The bromance is amazing as well as the sismance
They should have developed more on the second couple or not do it at all

it also shows the perks of being a celebrity you know and helps us see what real celebrity out there face in their personal life
The cometis top notch

The enlightenment on feminism was also amazing
in Total the drama is great
and I'd rewatch it anytime

Chaotic and hilarious . Loved every bit of it

Enemies to lovers is my favourite romance trope. Something about characters who don’t like each other and fall in love makes me soo excited. And this drama has the chaos, conflict and push & pull that i love to watch in a romcom. If a romcom is all lovey dovey and there is no chaos and tension then it’s boring for me. Although last episodes weren’t as chaotic as the beginning ones but fair enough as there needs to be romance too.

The female lead is cold hearted yet flirty and playful at the same time. Mostly kdramas show cold hearted characters who easily melt and i feel
like this is not the true depiction of a cold hearted personality but Mi-ran perfectly depicts cold hearted character with trust issues. She is effortlessly chill like that. It was soo fun watching her beat the male lead and reject guys.
Kang ho doesn’t trust women and is not a typical gentleman. I fell for him without even realising. He starts off as mean and narcissistic but is actually a sweetheart and charming. His expressions are soo funny for some reason. And I keep repeating the moment in my head when he termed their kiss as fan service. It was hilarious. I loved all the encounters between Mi ran and Kang ho, from she tripping him to their first kiss. I died laughing and giggling. Absolutely enjoyed each and every moment of this drama. And finally some steamy romance scenes that we don’t usually get to see in kdramas.

And how can I forget to mention hottie Mr.Do won joon. I want to keep him to myself if i could. I didn’t even know i like long hair on guys until I saw him. He’s soooooo dreamy. Him ending up with miran’s friend was bit unexpected and I would’ve liked it better if he had stayed a playboy.

Shout out to gilmu’s law firm guys as I thought they will be mean to Mi ran as she is the first female lawyer in their firm but they all were welcoming to her and also shout out to her ex who cleared her image in the end.

Don't think. Just go ahead and watch it.

Brilliant acting. Brilliant watching. Brilliant execution.
The idea is nothing very innovative. I read the synopsis and hesitated to watch it multiple times. I finally gave it a shot. And Oh. My. God. Very entertaining and funny. This proved to me that even ideas that are not original - which may seem cliche and cheesy can be made into gems. I binged this series end to end and every episode was so worth it. Hats off to the writer, director, and everyone else.

Such an UNDERRATED GEM?

I went into the drama not knowing anything about the plot but I did hear from someone that this drama is severely under-appreciated, and OH MY GAWD, this was SOOO GOOD😭. So good that I miss it already.
First and foremost, the acting, it was amazing. I already knew the ML was a good actor from “Past Lives”, but the FL too, I loved her. And also their chemistry AAAAAHHHHH, I’m getting butterflies 😭✨. I love a good strong FL who knows herself and doesn’t fall for the whims of the ML. Also love an emotionally intelligent ML who isn’t stuck up because of his ego and knows how to respect the woman he likes.. Both main couple and the second couple was cute.
It had the perfect amount of comedy, seriousness, romance, a touch of cringe and everything that makes a kdrama a kdrama.
I hope more people watch it and give this one the love it deserves.

Nothing stood out ---- yet a great feel good drama

The FL was refreshing, chirpy, happy, fun, and off course kick-ass!
Finally finally finally got to see a funny and romantic story.

I only watch romance and mainly romantic comedies - so I guess my reviews are very stringent and based only for this genre.
A romantic comedy generally floats us away into a world of clichéd tropes, silly situations, comic laughter and happy endings. That's all we ask of this genre.

However when the clichéd tropes make your heart flutter, the silly situations make you blush and the comedy makes you grin from ear to ear, then it gets an award.

But beyond that if you add sizzling chemistry, swoon worthy kisses and a talented group of supporting actors - phew- it deserves a standing ovation!!

Thank you for making this a little bit different!

We all love a badass FM! <3

This is for the enemies to lovers tropes!

It completely exceeded my expectations. It gave me Business Proposal vibes in the best way. It’s bold, fast-paced, and unapologetically fun with just the right amount of sass, chemistry, and emotional payoff. The female lead is a total badass (finally!), the banter is top-tier, and the story never drags. I’ve rewatched it twice and loved it even more the second time. If you’re tired of the same old rom-com formula, this one flips the script and delivers.
I wanted it to have more episodes.

10 episodes only?

I wish it had more episodes! It’s such a joyride.

At first, I didn’t want to watch this series as I thought it would be a series about annoyingly incessant bickering. However, I actually find the bickering funny and interesting. It felt so natural and not plot manipulated. Both leads are endearing in their own way, their acting and facial expressions are nearly priceless; and there’s an enjoyable freshness in the somewhat unique plot and characters. The cleverness, battle of the wits and straightforward thinking is actually engaging, instead of stressful. I’m actually enjoying this so far, and I’m excited to discover how it will turn out in the end.

Rom-com with a good premise that ultimately fails to deliver.

The trailer teased a rom-com with two characters with strong personalities who are hopelessly prejudiced against each other, but the show winds up being a rather watered-down, run-of-the-mill romantic dramedy with good production and decent acting, but misses the mark on both the chemistry and the social commentary.

For a title supposedly showcasing a strong woman, the FL did not feel "strong" to me at all. I wanted to see the FL kicking ass, yes, but not LITERALLY. Being able to knock grown men to the ground isn't empowering to me. Being good at what you do, being confident, and being able to face off adversities in life is. And right off the bat, FL doesn't seem to be particularly capable at anything besides resorting to intuitive violence.

I am perhaps less forgiving towards this show due to how high my expectations were going in, thanks to the spectacular trailer. I was looking for an independent and successful FL with a strong personality, which would seem like a well-equipped matchup against the ML, who was presented as rich, popular, but flat-out misogynistic. Instead, FL is a (once again) struggling lawyer who is physically strong, yes, but not at all professionally savvy, and far from being able to establish a balanced power dynamic with the ML, who just so happens to be the top actor in the country.

I'd have loved an enemies-to-lovers a la Pride & Prejudice , with both of the lead characters realizing their own misguided beliefs and falling for each other in the process. Even without it, enemies-to-lovers is in itself my absolute favorite rom-com trope of all time, and fake dating is also high up on that list. Therefore, it seemed as if this drama was headed straight for success in my book. Yet the enemies-to-lovers setup somehow fell flat. They never seemed to have much basis to hate one another. Perhaps if the showrunners had dared lean further into the characters' respective misogyny and misandry, it would have seemed more convincing. But in between the lukewarm characterization, uncompelling storyline, and untimely attempts at slapstick humor, nothing worked. There was no insightful commentary, no sizzling chemistry, no gripping drama, no nothing.

It felt like the show wanted to make a strong FL, as opposed to the typical romantic k-drama FL, namely, the cheerful, kind-hearted, and naive girl. I thought the show failed in that respect. However, I have seen quite a bit of backlash against the decision to incorporate gender politics in this show, so it would seem that at least some people do find the FL "strong". Yet my complaint isn't that the show does too much with the politics, but that it does too little.

Love to Hate ALL Men!

Love to hate you
