He's trying to cover up his concubine's crimes, when his own daughter's reputation is at risk. How could he. And just look at the flashback, when Shen asked Ning upon reaching the room where she was taken "What is this" omg, his eyes holds so much anger, he was so angry at the situation. And finally all the evil deeds of Concubine Qiao has come to light. Now everyone knows every evil deed she committed. And now Ning's father is heartbroken witnessing everything. Ending the episode with his dialogue to CQiao "You've done it all wrong, There's no turning back." 10/10
