A New Wave of Talent: Discovering the Rising Stars of China Near the end of 1990s, the forestry industry began to "reduce production, limit logging, and lay off workers." For the first time, Gu Changshan's family and members of the 923 work team faced the choice of staying or leaving. Gu Changshan has adopted Xingjie, the orphaned son of his late colleague who died on duty. Despite their initial hesitation, the Gu family decides to help Xingjie continue with his studies. Meanwhile, the layoff crisis among forestry workers gradually resolves itself as the younger workers became the first to leave. Gu Changshan leads the remaining people to participate in the "family ecological forest" project. In 2007, in order to protect the ecology and improve people's livelihoods, the resettlement project in remote areas began, and the 923 team once again faced a tough choice. Xingjie is pulled back to the mountains as he takes over the task of mobilizing immigrants and bears the mission of forestry reform. Given the logging restrictions in 2014 and 2015, Xingjie actively responds to the call that "gold and silver mines are not as good as blue waters and green mountains" and leads the people towards a better life. -slow paced drama but justifiable; it helped viewers understand what the drama and its characters are all about.
-visible character development
-family and community relations at its best
-the life lessons of this drama is applicable to real life situations especially of the youth of today.
-well written ending, everyone has given a second chance to amend their mistakes
What I don't like
-poor subtitles✌️
This drama isn't for everyone. Only those who has deep insights in life can tolerate such kind of drama, yet it's still recommended.
This story is about a small community and how people's lives has changed with every new advancement
I have started watching this show because of ZWY. But I instantly fell in love with main couple. The couple they are ideal and always has hardtime keeping up with changes. But their kindness towards others has always paid off
This show perfectly captures how children have always struggled to achieve their dreams and making those dreams into reality is one big task. But so far from the shows i watched this show has perfectly captured the filial piety.
And coming back to ZWY. i have only seen his historical dramas. But this one has proved he can potray any character beautifully in any modern setting.
Last but not least once you start watching this drama you will get too involved into this. Thats how characters are close to real worls and cast has played their roles very well.
