Otsuki Kaori is an energetic middle school teacher. She is staying at the home of Kawai Koichiro, who runs a general store. His daughter Hana is a student at Kaori's school. Hana is enjoying her school life, partly because her first love, Yabuki Daichi, who had moved to Shizuoka, has returned. In the midst of this lifestyle, Koichiro proposes to Kaori again, but Hana and her younger brother Yuta are unable to forget their late mother and are against the marriage.
One day, Koichiro heard that a teacher at his junior high school had been beaten by a graduate, and he was worried that it might be about Kaori, so he rushed as fast as he could. Kaori was touched by Koichiro, who came even though he fell and got injured on the way. Seeing their father's passionate feelings for Kaori, Hana and Yuta agreed to let their father marry Kaori. The next day, a girl comes into the store and openly shoplifts. It turns out to be Kaori's real daughter.
