Ryohei, who was supposed to have gone to Yokohama, visits the Kawai family late at night. It seems that his uncle in Yokohama has indeed said that he will put Ryohei in an institution. Ryohei kneels down and begs to be allowed to stay at the Kawai family home. Hana and Yuta beg the adults to let them keep him. The next day, Kaori goes to Yokohama to talk to Ryohei's uncle. It seems that the uncle has asked Kaori to take Ryohei in. Kaori and Koichiro decide to take Ryohei in, despite Namie's objections. Ryohei is overjoyed and sheds tears. One day, Ryohei accidentally saw Momoko while she was changing clothes. Outraged, she says, "I can't believe you'd be peeking when your mother just died."
