Kaori becomes even more conflicted when Yuta confesses to her that he likes Momoko. Meanwhile, Yuta learns that Momoko wants an expensive English study material worth 30,000 yen, and he decides to buy it for her as a birthday present. However, with only 5,000 yen to his name, Yuta learns that Shimokawa has made money from horse racing and entrusts him with the 5,000 yen. Unfortunately, Yuta’s bet doesn’t win, leaving him devastated.
