Momoko was almost run over by a truck, but Daichi risked his life to protect her. Neither of them was injured, and Hana, who was there, breathed a sigh of relief. Momoko then confessed her feelings to Daichi, saying she loved him. Hana was upset, but pretended to be calm.
Meanwhile, Namie is troubled when Yoshiaki, Tohyama's father, tells her that he will be moving into a nursing home and that he wants Toyama to live with her. Momoko, upon hearing this, says to Namie, “You’re lucky,” which upsets her. The following day, Momoko tells Toyama that she hopes he will be happy with Namie, and the two reconcile.
Meanwhile, Yuta gets jealous when he finds out that Momoko is looking forward to a date with Daichi, and sends Daichi an email from Momoko's cell phone saying, "I've stopped going on dates." When this is discovered, it causes an uproar in the Kawai household, before Yuta bursts into tears in front of everyone and tells them that he loves Momoko.
