Hana and Momoko are sad to learn that Daichi is going to Hokkaido the following Sunday. Meanwhile, Namie decides to marry Toyama and is congratulated by everyone. That day, there is a parent-teacher conference at school, and Koichiro attends as a father figure for Ryohei. However, Mr. Iwamoto ignores Koichiro and tells Ryohei, "Children without parents are worthless," deeply hurting him. Furthermore, Ryohei is teased by Kenji and others about his parents, and he runs away.
Kaori, furious at Iwamoto's insensitive remarks, slaps him. This leads to Kaori being reported to the education board, and she fears she might lose her job. However, after Momoko reported Iwamoto’s involvement in the escort service scandal to the board, Kaori is spared from being fired. She is deeply moved by how many of the students expressed concern for her. Then came Sunday. Hana and Momoko go to see Daichi off as he is about to leave for Hokkaido. They ask him, "Who do you truly like?" as they await his answer, which would reveal the truth about his feelings.
