Both are Chinese historical sitcoms and have elements of slapstick and nearly episodic plots. Both the dramas have elements of family and romance and are of same duration and have same number of episodes. Both shows have multiple main characters.
Although both are nowhere near similar in plot points they both hold the same essence in comedy!! Both are the few historical dramas that have made me audibly laugh or want more...
-HF has romance whereas ZGSSBGXQ (whewf that's long!) has a great lead duo that cares about one another and shows a little bit of romantic interest by the end but never gets together officially, we need a second season!
-HF is a stationary drama about the life of a hilarious family of women aiming to marry or not to and ZGSSBGXQ is about the story of a targeted individual, the assassin hired to protect her, and the journey they go through in order to clear her name.
