Really Sweet!
I genuinely dont know why I waited to see this series. I really enjoyed watching the series; they really made my heart skip a couple of beats from time to time. The cast was perfect; I like when actors understand the assignment. In addition, the soundtrack was absolutely beautiful. Phuwin sings amazingly btw. Now on the other hand, the storyline did lack a little bit. Like why no body call the cops on the uncle from the beginning? And they didnt really explain Palm relationship with his mother or how he was so good at fighting and shooting if he was a fishing man. However, despite that I enjoy watching; they had me glued to the screen. Was this review helpful to you?
Such a Disappointment...
I was really interested in this trope after finding out that the plot is little similar to kinnporsche. but it was such a disappointment. To be honest I felt the chemistry between them quite weak.I didn't really enjoyed the drama. I expected so much more but it ended being a teenage school romance. there were 12 episodes and they literally could have showed us more chemistry. the chemistry between the characters in the beginning episodes was just ridiculous. and the beach scenes are really necessary in most of the gmmtv dramas?

Gonna complain & spoiled big time.....
Watch this cause part of our sky. One of the bad apple with many2 plot holes... Let's discuss drama...Plot holes:
* It's weird for Nuengdiao as the biggest donor at school or you can say rich boy doesn't have any friend, even get bullied at school. Make no sense at all... Usually at least there's 1 'friend' or follower that try to get closer to get the benefit from being friend with rich guy. For this to be the fact we need background story, maybe someone ever take advantage of Nuengdiao so he trust no one or what.... Unfortunately no background story at all.... So yeah just makes no sense....
* Where the hell is security or bodyguard....?? Hello... Nuengdiao's dad just get murdered, not even made to look like an accident accident, it just MURDERED & the Perpetrator haven't been caught & yet so damn easy to get to Kiattrakulmethee's house to shot the wife & son. OH MY GOD!!! How stupid you are... Oh and after his mom get shot still no security to secure the house... The proof? Nuengdiao easily just enter his house. Yeah I know2 that's his house, but isn't his uncle supposed to be looking for him. Even he didn't monitor the house it just plainly stupid & weird all together....
* Why must hide the fact Palm work for Nuengdiao, to protect Nuengdiao. Make no sense. His dad just get MURDERED & he as the only heir to Kiattrakulmethee's family makes sense to have bodyguard lurking around.... So what if the bodyguard is the same age with Nuengdiao, it's not weird. It's maybe even better cause Palm can be near Nuengdiao as much as possible. Like in the class, cause it's weird to have bodyguard in the classroom, but if u're the same age as Nuengdiao u can join the school. Palm called to be bodyguard but can't be in the same car with Nuengdiao, what if something did happen, will Palm's dad only enough to protect Nuengdiao? Isn't gonna be better if Palm in 1 car with Nuengdiao. Overall it just so so weird... I run out word to describe it....
* Nuengdiao too easy adapt from rich lifestyle to run away & do all the job or housework. Never see someone that easy to switch lifestyle....
* The weird relationship between Kiattrakulmethee's family. The uncle-dad-mother-Nuengdiao-Chopper. It just they try to make family relationships but everything feels wrong... Like how Chopper try to friend with Nuengdiao, but never really friend too...
* Where the heck is the board member. Company that big have no shareholder or board member is so weird... After Nuengdiao's dad gor killed his mother just automatically become the CEO & after that his uncle & Nuengdiao himself in the end, usually there's drama with board member... Haha...
What i don't like apart from the plot holes:
- The forced relationship that Palm's dad try to make Palm does to Nuengdiao. He really see himself as lower class & kinda forced Palm to act like it.
- The cringey relationship between Palm & Nuengdiao. I don’t know how to describe it. Maybe just like Shiro wrote: "there are some sweet well preformed moments here and there but neither of the leads are very good with facial expressions and emotions. That said both are pretty good at delivering physical scenes as well as action and tension. However the moment they are supposed to feel something it just becomes cringey be it sadness, love (not lust though), anger... It just feels off...." Yeah i agreed. It just feels off....
- Mom always baby-ing Nuengdiao. She always said want Nuengdiao to be strong & grow... But u still baby-ing him, how can he be strong & grow... Ugh....
The only thing that I like from this maybe how in the end Nuengdiao grow up & learn to take his responsibility in family business....
Overall maybe just like jpny01 wrote: "It wants badly to be a PG-rated KinnPorche" but failed in general... Everything just feels off....

Easy to watch but doesn't mean it was flawless
Right off the bat a lot of the story didn't make sense but somehow from episodes 1-9, I found it super easy to watch. Mostly because there was more 'telling' than showing so conflicts, emotions, etc. moved at a quick pace. Episodes 10-12 became extremely hard to watch and took me four days to complete. Despite it being nice and easy to watch, the show had many, many flaws. But I'll only list the four biggest ones otherwise I'd be here all day.1. The setting; a public high school for rich kids or kids whose parents have good connections. Wtf
2. The characters are supposedly high school seniors, 18/19, but act like uni dropouts. For instance, underage drinking wasn't considered an issue as there were multiple drinking scenes
3. The leads' relationships with their parents fell far from reality. Towards the end, Palm talks about how his mother was dead and he had this questionable(?) smile on his face. I swear if there weren't English subs, I would have thought he was talking about how nice the weather was. I understand that the hospital was far away, but Palm made no effort whatsoever to save his mother and just abruptly declared that she was dead. That would be understandable if we saw him check for a pulse, or listen for any breathing or a heartbeat but we saw none of that and he did none of that. Instead, he screamed 'mom' 10 times and shook her arm a few times and somehow the show believes that's good enough to convince us this 18/19 y.o. knows when a human being who's just been shot is really dead?? Okay, Dr. Teenager.
4. Why did a French and Chinese gay couple decide Thailand was the perfect place to get married when it's not legal in the first place...?
Finally. Rather than saying 'Yay everything's been resolved, let's overwhelm our audience with happy love scenes from our leads' the show took that 'No we need a separation to show that the leads really do love each other but just didn't think they were good enough together' route. That might have been fine but the leads were literally separated in the final episode for a little over 10 minutes, not to mention during those 10 minutes, they played a 2-minute and 20-ish seconds flashback of Diao and Palm together! It didn't feel like they were separated, it felt like they had made plans for an island getaway but Diao had to delay his flight a day or two for some last-minute business meeting. Unlike its strong opening, it had a weak ending. A lot of their conversations at the end also fell flat and contradicted a lot of what they said and did in previous episodes.

Less like a BL series, more like a quiet film that breaks you carefully
I came to PondPhuwin through a Zach Sang interview, decided I needed to see them for myself, and started with what everyone said was their best work. That instinct was right. What surprised me immediately was the texture of the series — it doesn't feel like typical BL. The production, the atmosphere, the pacing all lean closer to indie film than genre television, and that distinction matters. This is a show that takes its time and trusts its silences, and for most of its runtime that approach pays off completely.
The story earns its heartbreak quietly. There are moments in this series that genuinely sat with me — not because they're loud or dramatic, but because they're devastatingly considered. The kind of scenes where a character makes a choice out of love that causes pain, and you understand completely why they did it even as it breaks something. I won't say more than that.
Towards the end a few story decisions landed less convincingly for me personally, and the intimate scenes occasionally carry a tension that reads as uncertainty rather than chemistry — understandable given how young both leads are, but noticeable. Neither of those things undoes what the series builds in the hours before.
This one stays with you. That's not nothing.

could've been better
Yep, another GMMTV series that falls into the same pattern: it hooks you with episodes 1–4, then the rest just... exist. The overall plot is actually pretty interesting. Even though there were already quite a few BLs about the mafia during that era, I don't really mind. My issue is more with the execution. From the second half onward, the series just feels hollow, like they were only trying to get it over with.
It also introduced a lot of characters, but because most of them had so little screen time (or died), the characters never really had enough time to build meaningful bonds with one another, so their relationships didn't have much emotional impact.
On the bright side, the OST is really good, and PPW have great chemistry here. (And no, I'm not being biased, even though I'm a Narawin.)

i'm loving this show so much
i don’t know i waited so long to start this show, better late than never, I'm loving it so much that I couldn’t wait to finish it and I had to write a review (this review is about the first five episodes).the story may not be the most original, but it will never bore you nonetheless. it never feels neither extremely slow-paced nor rushed at any point. the story takes its time to develop and the multiple subplots take the right amount of time not to distract you from the main story.
the intrigues and political aspects that we see in the first episode are basically put aside to focus on the establishing of the relationship between the main characters and it is just so well done. i am a very impatient person, so i generally don’t like when the relationship between the two main characters take too much time to evolve, but here i just enjoyed every scene of the two of them together completely.
there are a lot of dialogues that are really emotional and very interesting, concentrating on beautiful themes like fear of opening up and acceptance, in all its shades.
the cast is great. not gonna lie, sometimes the acting feels a bit off, but the performances of the two main characters are believable basically all the time, with some surprisingly nice acting scenes every now and then, from Pond in particular. but honestly, even when it is not that great, it feels great anyways because you can definitely see how much the actors worked to give the best performance possible, and the magnificent chemistry of Pond and Phuwin is enough to make you love any scene they’re in.
the characters are always coherent throughout the story, they make decisions and act following their personality, which is very well defined for every character from the very beginning. i want to praise Nueng's character in particular, because it feels very real and natural as we witness all his fears and worries, that are very relatable and well written, and the female characters are also great. Tanya is a strong and independent woman, other than a caring and supportive mother to Nueng, and Maggie is an absolutely lovely girl, always cheerful and willing to lend a helping hand to his friends, in this case Palm.
last but not least, music is very pretty. usually i don’t actually pay a lot of attention to it, but his time i couldn’t help but notice how lovely it was, and especially coherent with the scenes it is put in and exalting the feeling that we already get from the writing, so the dialogues, and the actors' performances.
i don’t recommend never let me go, i FORCE you to give it a try, it is worth it.

Boring Bl forced my self to finish it.
This drama felt not connected having plot holes or sudden switches on the mood, going back and forth. It was a good story but wasn't nicely directed. Poor choice of music. They had highly potential actors on supporting role (Perth & Chimon) who would have done better in main role as they show emotion real well, a good flow with mood changes without feeling rushed. I still liked Pond and Phuwin from Fish Upon the Sky but they still need some lessons. There some other unrealistic things or interactions and sudden character development which sometimes it went back down then up again. The story was boring honestly maybe having more characters would have been great. And I hated the flashback seens to the beach which was messing up with progressing of the drama. Was this review helpful to you?

There is nothing here that I will remember in 2 months time
First of all, I want to apologise for Chopper, sorry king for ever doubting you, you were the highlight of this show. I love that his character was not made to be jealous or competetive towards Nueng, he was just a really good egg and Perth did a great job with him.I stopped watching this show in the 8th episode when things were supposed to be tense and exciting but it really didn't carry. I found the writing quite boring and annoying in places, there were some highlights and scenes I really enjoyed, which made me finish the show eventually.
Things I enjoyed:
+ boys looked handsome
+ I think their chemistry was ok and when they were being physical it didn't look like they had to force themselves to touch each other, it was all quite nice!
+ overall good production quality, there were pretty shots, the sound quality was fine
+ the moms, they were both cool! I liked Palm's mother especially
Thing that were meh:
The characters were all pretty thin and one note.
Palm never really got away from the role of servant/bodyguard even when he spent time with Nueng and they were officially together. His dad was throwing away his life at first, then in span of one conversation he was okay leaving two teenagers go against a crime boss on their own and peaced out never to be seen again. I liked Nueng better. He was almost fighting against Palm to be let do normal things and chill and relax, he didn't want to be put on pedestal and that was great to see, this wasn't taken far enough though in my opinion - he just often kind of gave up when Palm continued to insist that he should just rest while he works.
Plot was nonsense, like it did hold together but you shouldn't really pay too much attention to it. Most annoying thing was at the end.. first Nueng leaves at night, leaving a note behind saying "Love yourself, live your life without me" and Palm doesn't listen and follows and they have a teary reunion. Then couple episodes later Palm leaves in the middle of the night, leaves p much the exact same letter to Nueng and he still believes it? Sigh, it just wasn't very interesting.
Also, the 'Never Let Me Go' cap they made Palm wear looked like it was too small for him and that always made me laugh lol

keep the good story
overall so good to watch, recommended i can say, the main character acting is good and the story becomes interesting and more interesting for every episodes. it just ben and nueng, beside they only a high schooler, the kiss scene a bit bother me LoL but it’s not bad from other angle, it just when they zoom in… i was just questioning about their kiss. but palm and nueng kiss is great though? i’ve seen the first trailer and they have that feeling. LoL anyway, i will still follow it as long as they don’t bring boring stories.ps: will edit my review after the series finish

Never Let Me Go - who whom?
5 episodes so far. Thai BLs go into a more serious or adult storyline. Where Kinn Porsche had been a led to. Never Let Me Go is following that dark criminal path in the plot by a murderous threat from the outside. Why and who is trying to kill the family members is not that clear, you can guess only. But that is okay and is rising the tension and let you think. The main leads acting is good. And the most there are no major flaws in the outfitting of the scenes ... like shirt scratching micros, or different dresses for one scene ... completed after some days, you may forget ... but when there are tears needed they miss. When they should embrace the hands still look like there is no feeling and an anxienty to touch each other ... despite the actors know each other from a previous show : Fish Upon the Sky (2021) which was partly anoying. And for Thai BLs "typical" we have a girl meddling as well. Still not too much, but let´s see what she "is up to".
What the leads get right is the difficulty for feelings between employer and employee incl. the social class differences and hesitance it is causing both.
What you unfortunately still see in the show is the lack of time for pre-, post- and production. As if they make fast food BLs ... Like in Hollywood´s "busiest times" to entertain the masses making them forget the miseries of the depression.
