I know that I was being a jerk of this series lol

I watched first episode on the first week of April but I just finished today lol. The story of this series made me bored at first, I was even thinking about dropping this series, then I got nothing to watch so I decided to resumed this show, there were 6 episodes left at that time (I know, its a lot, lol). Swap-bodies is actually one of the "common" genres in bl drama, that's why the first 3 episodes made me decide to take a break for a moment (actually 3 months lol).

Another reason is, I'm not a MixEarth's fan. lol
Those two handsome actors are the combination that I am least waiting for (after OffGun lol). However, I have to admit that after watching several Earth series, his appearance in this series is my most favorite one. Contrary to 1000 stars, I don't really like Mix's performance here. There are many scenes that I think he pretty seems redundant, even for people who don't like Earth, his appearance on this series really helps their chemistry.

The reason why I was able to finish this series (finally), is because the last three episodes were really something that I've never expected. I had a thought about the family's conflict that disappeared in episodes 8 and 9, and turns out that they save "the conflict" at the finale.

And yes, thank you for those who have given positive (but not excessive) reviews for this series, which has influenced me (a lot) to give this series a chance.

a rather unexpected delight despite a shaky script

I'm working my way through every EarthMix title, and I wasn't so sure about this one going in! The plot sounded a little slapdash and I wasn't quite interested in the realities of body-swapping... so I'd been avoiding it. While most of my concerns were at least a *little* valid, I generally found this series to be a much stronger work than I anticipated. The characters are charming, the actors shine, the plot is compelling and fun, and the pacing wallows much less than some of their heavier series. I found myself watching this much faster than I intended and laughing a lot along the way.

STORY:
Unfortunately, the story is the weakest aspect of this series (a rather unusual circumstance for EarthMix, who tend to deliver complex, realistic plots and characters). There is, honestly, almost no real thought put into the circumstances of the body-swap, leading to some slightly stilted and unsatisfyingly flat conflict around the edges. I wish that there had been a bit more care in developing a conflict that would drive such close friends so far apart. That said, the emotional connection between these characters was strong as ever, and Win and Korn's struggle to communicate once they were on their journey was plenty compelling enough to make up the difference.
My only other gripe with the story is that it didn't quite take it's magical premise far enough. Despite incredibly able actors, most of the utility of the body-swap fell to surface level gender jokes. While these are done very well, it is disappointing to see the swapping mechanic fall to the wayside in more emotional scenes, despite being central to the miscommunication. I would have liked to see them explore this more to truly live up to the full potential.

ACTING:
Wow. I am already a fan of Earth and Mix (obviously) and had enjoyed Jan a lot in Cherry Magic TH... but this was truly something else. I have to commend Mix and Jan for their success in building two characters together--it is not an easy task to do and they performed it so well. I have already complained at length, but I wish I would have gotten to see *more.* Jan does such a phenomenal job in matching Mix's high energy and crass body language for Win, meanwhile Mix does an excellent job of holding himself and his voice softly for the scant few minutes he's allowed to play Lin. I am never confused about who is who, and the emotions of these characters travel easily between actors and swaps.

PRODUCTION:
I really have to hand it to the costumes department here. The colors and fabrics are perfectly chosen, creating a bright and slightly unreal world, while still grounding the characters in their professions and personality. As pieces, Korn's jacket and Win's bag easily became recognizable touch stones. Korn's car, the Katin plush, and the bottles of holy water also brought a similar fun stylized-realism that worked with the fantasy plot. It was really a beautiful and bright show to watch.

In all, I really enjoyed this work and would recommend it! It isn't my top title from these actors, but it is a beloved edition to their filmography and one that I know I will reach for again when I need a smile.

SUPER CUTE!!!

Honestly didn’t know what I was expecting when I started this show but it wasn’t what is actually shown, first off I want to recognize how amazing the acting is, like seriously Lin acting as Win and Win acting as Lin, they were both so good at it that it felt like they actually switched bodies. And the scene where the mom is crying in episode 10 is so realistic it actually made me feel so sad because her emotions felt real. So props to the actors they did an amazing job! Second, the chemistry was amazing, this isn’t a show where there’s a lot of kiss scenes or anything and normally I like kiss scenes or stuff in that genre but this show did an amazing job at keeping me entertained and also giving me the chemistry needed to make my heart race. And the chances we did get to see kiss scenes they were amazing!! The story is super cute and soft, nothing too out there but also perfect enough to make those 10 episodes go by in a blink of an eye. I want to rate this an 8.8/10 but it only lets me rate 8.5 or 9, imo it’s not 9 worthy because again its not an extraordinary story, it’s simple but super well made! If you’re looking for something soft and cute to watch and also a quick watch since it has 10 episodes then this is just for you. I would definitely recommend, mainly because of the 10 episodes, and the fact that each episode is like 40+ min, I seriously hate when shows are longer than they should be and also lengthy on minutes of the episodes, so the fact that this show is simple, cute, soft and short wins my heart.

Better than I thought

I'll be honest I was gonna skip this one after being disappointed by the initial trailer because I just have a very deep hatred for the whole body swap trope. But I am a sucker for Earth and Mixx's chemistry and I was bored so started watching this on a whim and honestly I am pleasantly surprised.

Don't get me wrong, I still don't consider this a great drama by any stretch but it was a fun watching experience. They executed the body swap plotline quite well. If any drama wants to explore that particular trope, I feel this is probably the best direction they can take.

A major reason I enjoyed watching this was Earth and Mixx. The way they were able to convey so much yearning and longing for each other throughout the show was so beautiful. Childhood friends to lovers is one of my favourite tropes, so maybe that's why their storyline felt more special but I think we can all agree that their chemistry is amazing.

Moreover, I really appreciate the various facets of Thai culture that they showed us. From the cuisine to the scenery to the rural urban juxtaposition, it was all perfect. Also, Win's career and the backdrop of cattle farming is definitely unique and never really delved before in a bl.

However, this drama is riddled with flaws the worst of which was how nonsensical some of the plot points and conflicts were. The initial conflict that kickstarts the whole story was ridiculous enough on it's own but the writers managed to make it even more ridiculous in the last two episodes. You definitely need to leave aside common sense while watching.
Also Win's character was something else entirely. Rude, obnoxious and with an ego bigger than his brain, it really made you wonder what Korn (who was portrayed as a little too perfect and boring imo) really saw in him. But I'd be remiss not to mention that Win's antics made the show much more entertaining than it would have been otherwise and it made it eventual character development that much more worth it.

So does this drama make me change my stance on the body swap trope? Definitely not, that trope can die and I wouldn't bat an eye lol. But it did made me acknowledge that perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to jump on conclusions based solely on trailers.

It was uncomfortable to watch

The series is definitely not the best off EarthMix dramas but it's not bad either. It's a slightly about average show kinda talking about life lessons. Now the thing that made me uncomfortable about this show was not the body switch but what win decided to do with his sister's body. He is shown to care and love his family and sister a lot but then decides to go alone on the trip while in her body risking his sister's safety. Then he kisses Korn and shares bed with him in his sister's body. Sharing bed was like okay but kiss NOPE. Korn is shown to love Win a lot but then i know u like him but how could u kiss his sister's body if it was someone else's body I'd ignore it but it was his biological sister and everyone just went with the flow. Also i would have liked to see them fall in love a bit more... cz the show revolved around them at a point where they already love each other but don't confess.

Hate the mother i get that she was lonely but wtf also why did Korn act like he had some secret lol. Well there were quite some plot holes... i wish they ended the body switch sooner cz 3/4th if the show win was in lin's body i just couldn't get over it.

As for the good part. It'd be that it definitely kept me curious and hooked although i did skip a lot.

I expected much better

I wanted to watch this series because I'd never miss a project with Earth. I was also curious to see Earth and Mix in a new series as the main characters, because I liked their dynamic in 1000stars and I wanted to see how would it go with different characters and a different plot.
I'm afraid I didn't like this series as much as I was expecting to. I don't think I had too many expectations as I started it, so I guess it just wasn't for me.

- The story started in an interesting way, but ended up being VERY unsatisfying. There were big secrets at the beginning that ended up having very unsatisfying, almost nonsensical explanations right at the end - the kind that makes me wonder why did certain characters act the way they did. I felt like they slapped trouble in the middle just because there was the need for drama, when in fact it was pointless.
Luckily the "main" part of the story (the body-swap and the travel to the four temples) was much better and worked wonders for Win's character development, which is why I was able to enjoy most of the series.
- The characters are good, but they could have been much better, especially the secondary character. I feel like Win/Mix was the only one who truly got to shine, while everyone else was unsatisfying in one way or another. His chemistry with Korn/Earth was amazing as always, but it was sadly the only good thing character-wise. I feel like the acting was what truly saved the story: Jan did an outstanding job at portraying both Win and Lin and her parts were all amazing.
- While there wasn't as much product placement in this series (beside a couple coffee cups here and there), it felt a lot like watching a promotion of different beautiful places in Thailand, and most importantly the food. It felt new and if it really was for publicity, I didn't mind at all.

In conclusion, I can say that it was cute and entertaining, but not an amazing series. I'd recommend watching if you have some free time to spare, but don't expect anything exceptional.

The story line is so good ?

I like the story line as it’s not just a mere Bl drama… the writer did a good job, no cheesy lines. Editing is also good. Not much say about the actors but seems ok for me. I can see their in-depth friendship and relationship while they’ve been through all the hardships together. They have natural expressions and chemistry between them. this series was doing pretty gud only to fucm everything in ep 9

hear me out.. everything upto ep 9 was just nice.. altho there were some problems and confusion.. like why didn't korn say anything when he was being accused by win in the first ep bcoz of the shares... why did win have so little trust in korn like actually I was veryyy irritated at thi.. like win has known korn for like more that 12 years and he accuses him like that??? unbelievable... and also I didn't like how bitchy wins character was at the beginning like him continuously screaming at his sister was unavceptable but okay... and also I have too bow down to korns patience.. I mean in the 2nd ep he tries soo damn hard to convince win to go w him but he just wouldn't lasn.. if it was me in his place I would hve just left him "do what ever j want" that's wt I wd hve said but okayy...

the whole road trip was very enjoyabble... but to be honest I'm not a fan of body swapping like altho it was win on the conscious level.. the body sti belonged to lin.. so all the kisses? well technically it was lin and not win... tbh there is this one manhwa 'at the end of the road' and it's my NO1 fav manhwa.. it also involves body swapping but i dont seem to have a problem w that.. but in case of this series.. I don't like the swapping(prolly coz after all win was in a girls body.. if it was a guy I still wd have liked it maybe?)... but I liveee the fact that even though it was lin's body.. to the audience it seemed like the interaction was between win and korn afterall so I loved that...

and win's doubt wheter korn likes him or lin was also quite understandable... but still it lacked COMMUNICATION like wtf I hatee thisss there was so much to be told.. but none of them said it... and also I don't like how it was alwaysssssssss korn reaching out to win when there were problems never win

like the mother asked if anything happened between them during the 7days ... korn couldve easily told her no and called off the engagement by saying he doesn't feel anything for her.. but no he just said yes to it...
Then I think I kinda get why win supported the engagement.. like he thought his sister liked korn so he just decided to sacrifice himself for his sister (altho it was not a good decision because win knew korn didn't like lin but he likes win.. so it wd make more sense for kornwin rather than kornlin) but ig win didn't care to consider korns feelings)? (I mean I can't blame him since korn agreed to the engagement) but this is soo fucked up like kornn broo just deny and cut off the engagement???

and brooooo that doctor and lin wereee sooo stupid??? like okay the plan was quite nice that they will go along w the engagement and force win to speak out his heart.. but didn't they think it was tok much like to act fake till the day of the engagement???? like what if they had got engaged fr??? and also it wd have been so embarrasing to call off the engagement like that???

and broo that mother was such a bitch.. like tbh since the first eps I thought she was a nice person but no!???????? she was a bitch broo who does that to their own kids... and also tbh I don't understand what made her change her mind so suddenly that she confessed to everything she did... and also I didn't like how she was forgiven soooo quickly like wthhhh

Funny road trip drama with surprising charm

Cupid´s last wish is a pretty fun series in exciting setting and the fact that's it is EarthMix makes it an enjoyable experience.

A drama that resolves around a quest type of story is risky thing to do. This series sometimes feels little repetitive. They drive, they eat, obstacle comes and Win throws a tantrum... but despite the first episode I quickly came to realize that this drama is not supposed to be that serious, it´s a comedy! And with that the series became much more enjoyable. In fact it could only surprise me from now on. And it did!

I liked what the did with Win, he is horrible. You are supposed to hate him but that makes his character development so satisfying. I guess the reason why so many people dislike him is because the set up for him in the first episode was weak and makes him look like he is overreacting. But I got over it quickly and enjoyed him being annoying brat that needs a lesson. Really this dramas best ideas were simple, they worked the best. You have a guy that is an asshole and needs to realize how badly he has been treating his loved ones. Fate makes him go on a journey full of funny adventures in his sister´s body as he realizes his mistakes.

SO WHY IS THE FINALE SO NONSESICAL AND OUT OF CONTROL. I was expecting the spirit of Win´s father to be behind it all, it´s a logical wrap up of the story. But NO, the father´s death and character were pointless plot device because it was the mom that made Win and Korn drift apart. I thought that the whole engagement thing was a nonsense but then the climax of the farms inheritance came in and left a bitter taste in my mouth.

(And don´t even get me started on the uncle and aunt. I was okay with them being cartoony Team Rocket villains, it sort of fitted the story, but they did nothing for the whole series. You could write them off and the story wouldn´t change. )

So the finale is a huge miss but the rest of the series holds up pretty well. Mix is great in his role, I enjoyed him the best and Jan as Win in Lin´s body was phenomenal. The body swap doesn´t really matter but isn´t confusing and adds a funny element to the story. Earth and Mix delivered as expected, made me laugh, made me angry and made me root for the form start to finish. I will be re-watching and I can´t wait for Moonlight chicken!
