Potential lost cz of poor plot

I watched this show after watching the reel where the main couple 1st meet. Mint is getting bullied and knight kinda protects him.. so i was expecting something really fun to watch like probably a very cunning top and innocent bottom or a love hate relationship like ArcArm had in perfect 10 liners. I start with this drama and yes it seemed fine for like 1 or 2 episodes not that great not that bad. Then they reveal that the reason mild's brother doesn’t approve of knight is cz he 🍇ed mild while he was drunk and during this conversation they kinda show a flashback of the incident and mild is kinda traumatized. So what would you expect? Especially when the topic is so sensitive. You'd expect them to reveal the culprit or a really big redemption arc correct? (I did find it wierd that mild was not affected by it the whole time until the brother brought it up like he didn't show any kind of rejection or fear towards anyone but we can ignore that)....
Well so what do they do?? They just change the whole plot to that being a whole misunderstanding and that never happened 🙄 (then what's with the flashback and mild being traumatized?). Like they just dump that down the trash. Knight says its a misunderstanding and they run away for a private honeymoon WTF🙃🙃🙃
THE ONLY REDEEMING THING ABOUT THIS SHOW WAS THE 2ND COUPLE BUT EVEN THEIR STORY WAS SOO DRAGGY. I had to skip soo much to complete this thing. It was really bad the 1 star is just for the cast and the 2nd couple everything else was pure BS. I've watched soo many bls but this is the 1st one i absolutely hated. Not 1 thing i liked about this drama

Just a really simple love story

Well the whole story is 2 guys who had a bad breakup end up connecting cz of a wrong number and fall in love. The whole series has 3 actors 2 leads and 1 ex. It was a nice light watch. Not like wow soo good not like ugh soo bad. There's really nothing more i can say about this. You can watch it but not watching it won't make a difference

Went downhill after episode 1

I watched this while it was airing. The episode 1 was soo good i was like I'm gonna wait till it's done and then watch if cz i don't wanna torture myself with curiosity.

So i watched after it aired🙃 and damn i am soo disappointed. The acting is good, the direction... well it's above average and the plot had potential but from episode 2 it kinda lacked the emotional depth. The episodes had no progress in the plot it from ep 2 to 6 it was like they were just showing their past.. they didn't show hiro falling in love properly nor did they show his conflict of guilt and revenge... and even after he realised the truth there was no redemption. They kinda just got back together. Also natsuo... i get it's his personality but it was like he had no other personality other than being a hyperactive pushover. No matter what hiro or anyone did there was not a hint of sadness or anything. So it was like ep 1 hiro decided to date natsuo for revenge... ep 2 to 6 it's just them dating and glimpse of the past which was repetitive.. ep 7 natsuo realised the truth ep 8 get back together. It was as plain as that. I just forwarded the whole thing.

I won't say it's bad but it was not good either. Not watching it won't make a difference.

You'll get all the sweetness you missed in the prequel here?

It's a pretty chill special episode with nothing much going on except showing how everyone's life ends up. It's pretty cute and fluff🤭🤭.. i loved it cz it was a happy ending... a good one at that.. but I'm not someone who likes a lot of fluff so i gave it a 9. If you watched the prequel watch this you're gonna enjoy and be 100% satisfied with the ending

Not bad but not great short drama

The drama is about this guy who judges people based on their sign and that's the whole plot. There's close to nothing except they meet and fall in love. I literally watched the drama for 1 cute drunk scene🤭. There's literally nothing more to say about this except it's an average story but atleast the actors did a good job. It didn't have the usual awkward acting we see in short dramas.

It's good. Really good but with minor flaws

Ok had to review this one while it's ongoing. It's good. I started watching this because it had a unique plot. Romance between a "ex-porn star" and a university perfect guy. Being Tae's 1st drama as a lead he's done an amazing job potraying ice. Yes he still looks a bit stiff during the NC scenes but not like their chemistry sucks. I hope to see more dramas of them together. I've usually seen tae do happy go lucky characters so this one was something new i saw in him. I think he'd do well in sweet innocent kinda characters too🤭🤭 cz his doe eyes is really adorable. Especially in the lollipop scene in ep 8.

As for Ja we all know no one can beat him when it comes to green flag characters he's done a good job as saint. But i think he has potential in toxic characters too. Saying this cz he did well as Kit (the character he plays in the short movie) we gotta see him play 1 toxic character. He was really good.

Overall the story is really good it shows how SA victims think and the problems they face really well but yes there are scenes where it was kinda confusing like cut off but then they do explain why it happens but then you might feel weird till the explanation comes in. Like saint ignoring ice and also flirting with him at the same time cz of the father's spy. I was like whats the point of ignoring ice if you're gonna flirt with him infront of the spy😆😆 The actors are good but overtime especially after ep 8 the director and screen writer has messed up and it's like you get the story but you feel it could be done better.

And yes our 2nd couple kinda dumb but kinda cute pair🤭🤭 I'm loving their story too.

Overall watch it. If u liked fortpeat in love in the air. This is similar probably a bit intense than their story at times but yeah u won't regret it.

Had potential but kinda became draggy and round about

Sigh i really don't know when I'm gonna finish this one. I've already put it on hold it twice cz it's just like next prince. Too draggy. Every scene is dragged for no reason. For some reason bank does look kinda awkward doing NC scenes but other than that he's doing a good job playing the innocent uke role. So the problem is not the actors its the horrible writing.
For some reason bank changes his cloths had this weird NC scene effect🤣🤣 with all the blurs and music wtf that was a makeover scene.

Anyways i think it would have been a good story if they had just not dragged it and I'm already half way through the series they have not bothered to address or even hint us about the dreams🙃🙃 they just keep giving us random flashes of that dream and those flashes make no sense and are not giving us a glimpse of that story either.

I really loved the 2nd couple's story. No complaints. They have good chemistry and proper pacing too and their story is damn cute❤️❤️❤️

Overall should you watch it? Well you can watch it but it wouldn't make a difference if you didn't. You're not missing anything.

Probably one of the best cbl I've ever watched. Even better than ABO & RL

ABO & RL are totally different genre from this. You can consider those more on the lighter side. Here the plot is thick. The acting is on another level. Yun Qi aka fan has done a damn good job for his debut drama. Hao yi ran aka yao has done a phenomenal job with his role. You know an actor has done a good job when he can make u sad or cry or feel every emotion his character feels. That's exactly what he's done in episode 8 and the reason i thought i should review this now!!

Initially the drama started pretty light. Just a manipulative seme trying to trick the uke into love cz he thinks the uke sees the world a certain way that's not as dark his view of the world. It was pretty fun kinda gave ABO vibes till episode 6... but episode 7 onwards when yao started realising what fan had done and him being in denial trying to deny his love could ever do such a thing to him. Those subtle sadness he shows their interactions even after they makeup🤌🤌🤌 chef's kiss.. u could see him hurting even if he smiled.

He nailed it in the 8th episode where eventhough he realised his love had done that he tried to stay strong tried to deny it one last time and went into the room and said "lust blinds judgement. I lied to myself and others" as he looked at the messed up bed. Kinda trying to deny love trying to make himself believe that it was just lust hoping to feel better from it. He hit the final nail when he came out and revealed to fan what he found. Damn the way he cried asking him what did he ever do to deserve this (literally nothing) and to do 1 last favor by not showing his face to him this life and that he would consider this last year a nightmare 😭😭😭😭😭 yao was never someone who could fall in love and open up completely to someone. But he did that for fan. Just that morning he asks his mom if fan was the man who would make him believe the world is a better place but fan broke everything. For yao he didnt just lose his lover, he lost his faith in people, his ability to trust people, his everything. That's how heavy this drama is and the actor has done absolute justice to the role❤️❤️❤️

It's good just not my type

Well parallel universe+slow burn is just not my type. I like some spice, some drama, some romance with a dash of pain etc😆. But this drama talks more about his anxiety problems, parallel universe and communication skills. I know its slow burn but i felt the story pace was also slow

Anyways lets go episode by episode
Ep1: damn it was dark (not story but the lighting 🤭) i barely could see anything. To top that i was kinda confused idk if it was just me though. The whole ep was just about kano and his struggles
Ep2: kano moves to parallel universe and the difference between both.. still barely any hint of romance
Ep3: Now we see some light spark of jealousy and from what i see Ookami has the potential to become a little devil🤭🤭 but i read spoilers that he would return to real world in ep 5 so i think that will happen.

I feel the drama would do much better with proper pacing and more episode cz rn what i see is there are lot of scenes talking about kano and his problems than kano x ookami... their story is like going on the sidelines. Well I'm gonna finish it anyways cz its not bad but I'd not re-watch it

Taiwanese BLs just hit different ❤️ this was soo damn adorable!!!!

Kyaaaaaa!!!!! They're soo damn cute and adorable. The whole drama i went 😄😭😆😄😭😆😄😭😆... i even binge watched it. I've watched couple of taiwanese bls and i think this one was the best!! Especially the 2nd couple🤭🤭 they made me laugh every time they came on screen. I looked for other dramas these actors played in but looks like it's their 1st drama and no other drama came after that. For a debut this was soo good. Recently I've been finding these dramas where its their debut but u cant tell. I feel soo lucky... i hope they have more dramas.. even if its not as couples

Oh yes the easter egg in the last episode. I am so happy i suspected the long outro and checked. That was cheating😭😭 i would have skipped it if i didnt check but yeah that was cute🥺🥺🥺 everyone got a happy ending n I'm 1000% satisfied 😌

Yes i know if it was soo good why 9.5? Well it's cz misses in minor details. Peng carries his phone everywhere but then not using it at points. And the cousins character that i didn't understand. Yang saved his life but then he tried to kill him even though yang literally was handing the business to him and there were no signs of otherwise. Also the fiancée.. i felt her trying to break them up was an unnecessary arc so 9.5

Historical BL which is actually BL with a happy ending❤️❤️❤️❤️

Loved it!!! It was a lot better than i expected. 🤭🤭 I kept putting this on hold for a while and watched it cz i had nothing to watch. Alas!! I don't regret it. Bao is such a cutie and huai is such a beauty❤️. I cried and laughed all through the series. Loved the unexpected 2nd couple doctor x bodyguard story with the childhood reunion... ahhhh i wish we'd see more of them but yep I'm happy with what we had... loved how both doc and huai were both jealous types but their boyfriends were both clingy type😆😆. They were like "I'm gonna isolate u from the world" but their boyfriends were too extroverted 😆😆 hahaha the trio was my favorite.

i really liked xiao yu. She's such a pretty kid. I did feel she was not getting enough screen time until the last episode. That was such a beautiful ending🥺 loved how huai kept trying to have quality time with bao but she kept intruding 😆😆 and acting all innocent.

I deductsd 0.5 cz huai SAs bao out of jealousy but then they kinda brush it off and turn it into "he might be bad but i cant help but love him". He never pays for that.

Also yu gets kidnapped and everyone is like worried but for 5 mins😆😆 they literally forget her until ep 11.

Overall its a good show watch it uk how rare it is to find chinese historical BL that are actually BL and have a happy ending❤️

Drama soo GOATed u don't realise the leads never kissed??

I literally skipped this for soo long cz i was soo disappointed with the Japanese version of "love in the air" i was like i already watched the thai version so i wouldn't like this one cz everyone was telling the thai ver was better. I'm happy i gave this a try. 0 regrets. IT WAS SOO GOOOOOODDDDD!!!!

Although the main plot was the same for both thai and Japanese version. The story was totally different. While the thai version went more on a straight line, warm and cute fluff kinda. There achi was potrayed as this guy who helped people behind the scenes never gaining recognition and karan was someone who fell for him and did the same for him.

In the Japanese version, the plot is not a straight line it has a lot of curves. Here atachi is a kind guy yes but he's more of a pushover kinda guy who can't say no and lacks confidence. Kurosawa is the guy who fell for this guy who didn't care about his looks and helped him out. Here kurosawa unlike karan is not helping atachi or achi everyday instead he tries to find chances where he can.. help but he rarely gets any and when he does he's obviously noisy in his head🤭🤭

I won't say this is better or the thai version is better. I feel both were equally good. The funniest part was i watched the whole series never realized the 2nd couple kiss but leads didn’t 😆😆😅 until i read a comment. If i didnt realise that it means it's a good drama. Definitely not bromance 😆😆 so don't worry watch it!

The comments are lieing this is a really good light watch

I don't know why people hate this drama soo much with "ugh do ha is dumb for a 27 year old" or "the male leads have no personality". NAH. If this was a straight drama you guys would have went around posting reels on how much of a green forest these guys were or how cute doha was.

Where's he rule that a 27 year old can't be timid or talk in a serious tone? Also all 3 MLs had their own personality. Gyeon was this naughty, sweet childhood friend, jeon was this ideal man or 2nd lead who was perfect but couldn't get his man, and ha ram was this manipulative handsome guy.. i think i liked this more than others cz i spoiled myself with the final male lead i.e gyeon so i could watch the series from a pov where there are 2 leads and other sub leads not 4 leads and guessing who is who.

Also i think doha chose the right man. If i were him I'd chose gyeon too cz he stood with doha during his ups and downs all his life and was always there to protect him. Lets forget about haram cz he was kinda a red flag. Some might think jeon was deserving but even if he knew do ha was framed in the start (in real world that could be career ending) but he didn't try to protect him even in the farewell dinner he could do more but he didn’t u can see he hesitated at times while gyeon never had 2nd thoughts when it came to protecting doha.

So yeah its a good drama watch it. The actors are good the story is very relaxing n fluffy. U can watch it on a stressful day and relax❤️

THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! KYAAAAAAA I REPEAT THAT SO FXXXING BEAUTIFUL ?????

The only thing i hate about this drama is waiting for it every week😭😭😭. It started beautifully and ending beautifully. I did find ya's dad annoying but I'm happy ya and janjak didn't follow him and told their lovers about their mind reading powers while... the father didn't do it till the end. Poor lady she never knew her husband knew how she left but chose to ignore it and she suffered alone.
I really loved park🤭🤭Especially as real apo sadly we didn’t get much of that diva. Also Tailah and Janjak ❤️❤️❤️ my shaylas🥺🥺🥺 i was like aww a cute couple tailah is definitely the bottom until we saw tailah top😳 n definitely didn't hate it🤭🤭 if u actually did notice he was top from the start. I just forgot i was wondering like he's a top in thorn's world how come he switched here. He didn't 🍻😌😌 and it made total sense. Like this is my theory. Apo who lives in Thorn's body got together with his friend Fa cz in the last episode he scolds thorn for having that food every week which means real apo still went to gave dinner with Fa.. so he might be his partner...
Or... thorn was actually hit by the hotel owner (big's back from ep 1) and he took him to the hospital and what happened here happens there they fell in love with each other but from different worlds.. well we'll never know🤣🤣 but atleast we know apo and thorn both got happy ending. Surya married someone he loved. Ashin got his brother. Janjak was finally successful in seducing tailah. Ya's mother found love in her marriage and apo's parents got a son who doesn't cause problems🤣🤣 and obviously the dog/shaman got to repay his debt to thorn for the food🤣🤣 that was soo unexpected and a reasonable explanation for the soul switch.

They really lived for each other

I dont usually watch serious dramas but i couldn't stop myself after reading all the reviews on how good it was. Well it did live up to my expectations. I cried and laughed ugly watching this one. Usually you see the uke having a very shitty life but here it was the seme. Damn it was horrible. I do have 1 question. Why didn't he go to the orphanage like his mother asked him to? But overall the drama was good.
I like how all of their problems were not solved by the end of the show but instead they both just found happiness and will to live. Courage to fight for freedom and get the normal life they always desired. There was not 1 character who was like completely good or completely bad. Everyone were victims of something and perpetrators of something.
Would i watch it again? No. Not cz it was not good but cz it was too good and too intense for me. Especially ep 4 was horrible. You could see characters feeling bad for other characters but still doing hurting them or not helping them... and that's exactly how real life is.. no one helps you should help yourself.. the actors really did a good job❤️
