KBL is expanding it's horizons

I always wondered when it comes to BL novels or webtoons korea makes the best. They have unique plots, amazing art and story line but when it came to dramas they were kinda mid. Even if they did adapt a novel or webtoon they were still always lacking.. until this year

This is the 1st BL where u have a thick plot. I don't understand why people are confused. You need to watch the intro with the animation to get context on each character and their past (i am guessing they skipped that). Except for Ji Gwi's past i was able understand the rest. I didn't get why ji gwi was sad even after the goddess gave him that ornament cz she pitied him and why he and gil dal got back together.. there was no explanation.

Anyways the plot is like super fun. I really liked that there's no multiple leads fighting for the same guy instead we have 2 couples🤭 and i like that the focus is not just romance. Now it feels like an actual drama with complete plot.

I really loved the 2nd couple. Especially our macho man gil dal😆. Bro didn't realise he was in love for 1000 years😆😆😆 worse he's soo dense he didn't realize he was third wheeling in his master's relationship. Poor bihyun 0 quality time.

This is like the BL version of Japanese anime/manga kamisama kiss.

Don't go with the negative comments this is a really fun and interesting watch. I'm literally binge watching it. Yes there are some misses but its not that bad.

It's scary but interesting

I hate horror but i watched Khemjira and it was not that scary so i was like let's give this a try.. n i regret it😭😭😭. It's soo scary i don't wanna watch. Literally wait till day time and sit outside when i watch this but i can't drop it cz I'm curious 😭😭 y are there soo many ghosts every episode. Why not we just have the ghosts as guest appearances so that i can watch the series in peace than in fear...

Wahhhhh I'm scared😭😭 n spoilers don't satisfy me cz i liked everything about the drama minus the ghosts. Also ThupSingha are soo cute 🥺

If ur brave give this one a go. Don't have khemjira as ur standard when u watch this cz this is scarier😭😭

Minus 0.5 for actually being scary😅😅 and also for minor flaws like in ep5 thup gets hit by a rock on the back of his head but the Band-Aid was on his forehead🤭🤭

Lot of potential and a good story ruined cz of poor direction and screenwriters

30 mins into the drama ep 1 and I'm frankly tired. Just the Nawa's intro was 10 mins long and then 20 mins was just Phu staring at Nawa and nawa getting warned he's a playboy. It feels like they wanna keep the 1st episode only as intro with no plot but to do that they just added lot of filler shots... the story is good the cast is good but pacing damn sucks. Then i checked the director and screenwriter and now i kinda get it. They're the same as "bad guy my boss". They've not shown any improvement from their last work like literally. I like the plot so I'm gonna skip and finish this one. Also i really suggest that they have a woman on their team. They kinda suck at guilding the actors on facial expressions or emotions. This happens in all their dramas so i definitely can't blame the actors its direction problem. For example Phu is a playboy. Okay we get that but he looks stiff they should have asked him to look more relaxed. Like lean on the counter get bit closer when he's trying to flirt with Nawa what playboy stands straight attention position and flirts🙃 n this is definitely not actors problem but the directors cz even if the actor did that the director didnt correct him or see anything wrong with that.. also i get nawa is a kind and nice guy. They could just make him smile lightly instead his smile is a little too much that it looks like he's forcing himself.. it's like they had this great script great actors but fucked up in the direction, screenwriting and editing.

I'm at ep 5 and no improvement🙃. Awkward acting and a forbidden stepbrother love arc🙄 which has a messy execution. The only likeable part of this drama would be the leads and their smile😆😆 and probably the 2nd couple. I liked their story more it kinda made me cry 😭. Initially i thought they were using vfx for the mermen but turns out it's silicone tails. Yes great effort but also they look fake when it's in a drama... also i don't get like all mermens are in danger but then they're all obsessed with protecting nawa. why? That way if you look at it ping was at high risk cz he was not part of any clan.. also yep people are right they equated homophobia and xenophobia 🙃 like bro give a proper back story if ur gonna bring up monster hunt. Like a merman killed human or was misunderstood so humans go on monster hunt.. the other reason selling them cz they're rare made sense but monster hunt was BS. Literally how many of us would kill a merman if we saw one especially if it looks exactly like in the series🙄🙄... sigh also i really don't get nawa or phu like their breakup made no sense. Phu sees his lover become a merman n before that he saw nawa being sick but didnt bother waiting and checking on him and nawa bro pick a side bro he's like chilling with the mer tribe while phu is all depresssed on the other side WTF😆 and Phra's death was totally unnecessary. Like he got to know his dad killed nawa's parents. He knows nawa loves phu but still poisons him? N then he trades his life for Phu??another WTF. There were lot of loop holes like uk there good actors when u watch the last episode cz i cried there😭😭😭 but the director has not guided them with the right expression it feels like a drama filmed over a weekend🙃

It's a really mid series like even if u skip it. It's fine you're not missing anything.

I'm gonna review each episode as it goes

I don't think i can watch it in a go cz every episode is a new story. This is new and not my style. I like longer stories.

1. Colorverse - it was interesting something new and refreshing. I've never seen a drama with colorverse in it. 8/10 cz when u put things in 2 episode it feels kinda short

2. Cold ceo (bottom) x cute secretary (top) - here i was giving it another go. Idk if it was cz it was uncut but i felt like it was both too long and too short. If u look at the story is was cute❤️. Mick looked extremely adorable and top was extremely hot🤭

Frankly every single episode of this I'd prefer it as an 8 episode drama than 1 cz when it's just 1 i feel like okay so what's the end but when its a series i feel like okay what's next... 😅😅 i don't know how to explain this.

Anyways for now I'm dropping it cz it's really not my cup of tea i prefer 1 story in a series and if multiple stories it should be like P10L from the same universe but different character's story

Too rushed they seem to be going on 2x

Idk if it's cz I've watched the Thai version but i feel like they kinda rushed like in the dialogue delivery or acting i felt like they were rushing to cover everything. Like they had too many things to show so they were asked to talk, walk n act in a 2x mode.

Usually when i watch Japanese version of something I'd expect a totally new interpretation of the character. Their acting, the way the story is interpreted and showed is different. I think love sea and love in the air Japanese versions dissapointed me in that area.

They've copied the thai version right down to the acting especially ai's character. He looks and acts too much like peat that i see peat when i look at him. Which is just not my preference they shouldn't have let him watch the original version before making him play the character that way you'd get his interpretation of the character. He has definitely watched the series and ended up copying the same... i know its just ep1 but I'm not sure if i should continue cz the pacing is just too fast and off. In the thai version you could see the characters fall in love and feel it but here they're just running to complete the scenes. Also love sea is a tan guy x pale guy story. They could have found someone with the right skin tone but the obvious tan and whiting looks really fake. They've done a horrible work at makeup. You can easily tell the person playing ai is a slightly tan guy whitened and the tan is not consistent either somtimes too dark or too light.

I think u can skip this if you've watched the thai version but give it a go if you've not watched it... the story is actually good. The director messed up. I'm dropping it for now lets see in future if i pick it up

I don't know how to feel about this

Crime+suspense is definitely not my cup of tea but I get nothing to watch and this is ForceBook so thought I'd give it a go. Let me review this episode by episode cz people are just being super unreasonable. This is the kinda series where u need to turn ur brain on and watch

Ep1: here i agree the 1st 10 mins can make u wanna drop this drama. It reminds u of forcebook enchantè and peaceful property at the same time. If u survive that it gets better. From what i see bot lost his memories and he gets his diary from before he lost his memory and his lover from 10 years ago asks him to meet but when he gets there they both get involved in a murder case.. from what i see i dont think tan has a twin instead i feel like after the accident he's here for revenge against bot and wants him to remember his past before he does it. Also the interrogation scene the script is kinda off. Literally guys 1st 15 mins the script and direction is off i can't say anything to save that after that it gets better

Dropped ratings to 8 cz i really didn't like pleng and thankun falling in love soo fast. I feel troupes where someone falls for their dead sibling's partner are very tricky and should be handled with care. I think this drama failed there. From what i see they plan to mainly focus on the romance than the investigation side. They should have properly shown Than falling for Bot and the regret and disgust he felt when he was hiding the fact that he was not his bf when he realized Bot was innocent. The fear of losing Bot when he got to know the truth. As for Bot instead of making him stupif enough to ignore evidence right before his eyes they could show other characteristics like him being naturally kind and happy while hiding his pain. The shock he felt when he realizes Than is not his bf. The disgust from getting intimate with Than and hate for Than for making him feel like this or even doing this to him while also making him fall for him. I can see that this needed to be potrayed the right way which didn't happen. I can't say FB's acting sucked in serious role cz we've seen them in "peaceful property" where they made me cry my eyes out so this is a direction and story writing problem and they should have added more scenes on how Than decided to approach Bot instead of just telling him that way it'd make a better impact so yeah I'm disappointed here. Let's see how it goes.

This damaged my last brain cells?

I watched this obviously cz i was done with all the good ones, thought I'd probably find a hidden gem. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh it was soo bad. I finished ep 1 struggled to finish 2. The direction sucks, story sucks and acting sucks too. There is not 1 redeeming thing in this drama.
I've watched some short dramas and i know they don't usually have the quality of the normal dramas but this was worse than the chinese dramas we see on tiktok, insta or those drama apps. The funniest part is you can't see the actors face like they show it for a sec and then change the shot soo fast 2 eps in and i could only see the step brothers face. Had to pause to get the cousin and the mc's face.... also the summary for the drama is that a summary or the whole story?? A sad ending?? For a horrible drama??

Probably one of the most realistic office drama I've watched but should've been 8 eps instead of 12

Usually when it comes to office set up dramas, it's either like too smooth and fun or too much of "hero" energy or too inspiring. But here i saw something different something new. I get why people hate it. They're used to seeing office romance as something filled with roses with slight conflicts but in reality that's not the case. This is exactly how most corporate companies treat new joiners especially in Asia. You're dumped unwanted work and when it comes to taking credits you're kept as "support" but when it comes to criticism you get pushed under the bus. Any kind of retaliation or no is seen as a huge crime and you could become the new office villain cz of all the gossip. They want you to act "mature" even when it's not your fault. I get everyone's pov here and this is quite normal in corporate. The boss can't say your right cz then it would effect the team spirit. Seniors wanna dump the blame on u cz they think ur young and can take the hit. Others come to blame u when u retaliate cz they did that at a point so they think ur unprofessional.

This drama is for working group. If you're a student you're not gonna get it. You'll probably rate it low for being absurd but this is actually the reality. So far i think the acting is on point too. People are saying that pat cant act emotional scenes but from what i saw he did well. He was not sad everywhere he showed confusion when no one took his side for being right and then sorrow cz there was nothing more he could do, frustration when he was dumped with work.. im not sure if we're even watching the same drama.

Don't just comment other comments as your opinion. Watch the series based on the rating and description and judge yourself. I saw something similar in "thonon chonlatee" the drama was really a fun watch if u dont take it too seriously (that was the point) but then people just took it too seriously and then 1 hate comment and others basically copy pasted the same.

The only reason im giving it a 7 is probably cz its uncut and take 1.5hrs and the pace is like really slow not boring cz the plot is kinda on the office politics and life side than romance but yeah... i won't say it needs to be improved cz its just not my type. It would have been better if it was an 8 episode drama instead
