Overall it was good but could have been better especially with TimPai

I am someone who really likes contract marriage, scam marriage, forced marriage etc so obviously this one made me have high expectations and to some point it also met my expectations. Especially the initial episodes where Tim and Yu are scamming Pai and North. I totally, absolutely loved the writing that we had for YuNorth. They had this wedding and then he realized he's a scammer and Yu makes up for it, immediately apologized and divorced to show north he loved him and accepted all the punishment. It was really touching. The problems with his mother was also handled perfectly with Yu chosing north over his mother.

But in case of TimPai the story kinda went downhill after the scam was revealed. Everything was perfect , tim realized he liked pai and decided to start fresh but unfortunately that doesn't happen. The thing that bothered me was Pai gave up his entire life to protect Tim, he gave up on his career and family but what did Tim do? Instead of apologizing and making up like Yu did he instead harrasses Pai and exploits his weakness. He does make up for things later but those 2 or 3 episodes where he is just forcing Pai to stay married was annoying. Worse Pai's family who Pai dedicated his life to didn't bother looking for him or checking on him until Tim asked them to🙄 like wtf. Even Tim's family was the same. They abandon their son who was just out of college with a huge debt and leave the country and then blame him for becoming a scammer. They didn't even show up at the wedding. So that's kinda where they're at.

I felt TimPai's story was not used to it's full potential. Although Mark did make me cry a lot during this series. I felt it could be a lot better cz i was here for the drama, begging and yearning after the scam reveal but that was kinda meh.

Overall it's a good watch but could be amazing. Gmmtv just sucks at screenplay

Totally get the hype. It's just soo good

Despite being an old BL this one is really good. I loved the story, the plot, the cast, the acting. Literally everything about this drama was soo good. The unrequited love, the yearning everything was totally on point. I loved the clueless x cunning troupe🤭🤭 poor shu yi never got to know shi de staged the entire locked in the infirmary just so he'd get to stay with him.

Yes the drama is not perfect cz why the hell are they randomly talking in Japanese? Also what about Shi De's dad they did hint that he was told his son in gay but they stopped right there? Also what about the doc's love story? And just curious how did the 2nd couple fall in love.. well there's a season 2 so I'm hoping for answers. This is the 1st time a season 1 has left us wity questions for season 2 instead of giving us a clear happy ending. So I'll give it a 9.5.

One of the best bl mini series I've ever watched

I really really loved this drama. All 3 couples were soo damn adorable ❤️.

This is the 1st time ever ive watched a series where there's power struggle between siblings but they love each other and none of them want power but just their share 😆😆. Also i loved the bonding between the brothers and with their partners too. It's a really entertaining light watch that will keep u hooked. Watch it. It's really good😌

Minus 0.5 cz they kept switching between Taiwanese and korean and everyone could understand even people who were not part of the family 😆

An overhyped absolute disaster

I watched this series cz of the hype🙃 the comments called this refreshing masterpiece and the rating was high too but the reality was an absolute disaster.

I think people just rated this high cz of peer pressure cz u can see the comments theyre like we didn't understand a few things or we are confused but then the rating is 10.... like what?

I won't blame the actors at all cz from what i see they had good potential u can see that in certain scenes in the last 2 episodes.

- the story makes no sense
- the camera moves too fast and is mostly shot on from afar we barely have close up shots
- lack of emotional depth in the story
- the location is good not the cinematography people should learn the difference between both
- the font selection was a mess and barely readable. I get the idea they were going for but they had other choices
- random background music which didn't match the scene
- i didn't see the characters falling in love at all until the last 2 episode
- you can just watch the 1st episode and last 2 episode n that would be enough.

Ahhhh it was soo bad. I've watched other chinese mini series n this was probably one of the worst ones. I'll average (being generous) or below average. I initially planned to watch the side story but no thank u I'm good

The number of times I've rewatched this is unhealthy ?

I really love this BL. for the 1st time i love both couples a lot and equally. 6 eps per couple was perfect. Their story didn't feel draggy or too fast paced it was just right... sadly their next projects didn't live up to this but till i liked "love sea" too... I'm trying to watch "boys next world" but it's kinda confusing.

Coming back, i liked payu's cunning nature and rain's innocence damn they're soo cute together 🤭🤭 loved all that teasing. As for sky and prai😭😭😭 damn never expected it to be soo good. I've never seen a drama that showed and handled trauma this well... ive watched soo many bls but none lived up to this in that area❤️

Surprisingly good. Made me want more...

I've already watched nearly all the good dramas. So i picked this up thinking it was not a BL.😅 My assumption was it's a drama with him avoiding guys and nothing else but then i realised we had side couples😭. Everytime a side couple appeared i wanted more of each of them😭😭😭 can we get a complete drama with the otheer couple's stories...
Then i was like no way Mob is gonna end up with someone but then kikuchi got him🤭🤭 not complaining but i kinda wanted mob to end up with the white flower guy from the bar..
It was surprisingly good. Although i read the next season summary that kikuchi dumps mob for his ex🙄

It's a good drama for the 1st time the comment section was wrong

So yep i kept this on my watch list for a long time cz of the bad reviews like "bad plot", "too boring" and what not and picked this up when i had nothing to watch and was genuinely surprised!!! IT WAS SOO GOOD!!! it's more on the realistic side and not all pink and roses so i guess thats the reason people didn't like it? And also cz just like "love in the air" fort is the healer and pete is the hurt one here? That's what I'd assume.

The plot was amazing. Yes it was on the serious side but as someone who doesn't like serious dramas this one kept me hooked and i finished it in a day😅. The acting, story, visuals, music everything about this was good. Yes you might find some similar (just a little bit like 5%) with love in the air but nah this is a different plot totally. Here fort is not rich and not someone who can fix everything for pete.

People calling pete's character annoying. You would only understand if you went through something similar. You can't get over things just cz prince charming showed up. He was trying his best and you would notice it if you watched. I'd just suggest if you liked their story in "love in the air" please watch this. You'll like it but don't expect the romcom vibes you got from BossNoeul's pair here. Watch it only if you liked FortPete's story there and if you're into light stuffs this is not for you. I don't understand when people watch dramas which are not their style and rate it low. There's a difference between not being someone's type and not being a good drama.

Anyways don't listen to the comments and go watch it!!!

Heart wrenching. Shows how humans can be shining on the outside while they rot on the inside

Disclamer!!! I may spoil lot of the movie cz i liked it soo much.

I knew it was gonna be a sad ending and decided to watch it although i usually don't but damn i couldn't stop crying and begging for the bartender. The story has let us interpret a lot of things. The acting is quite clear about the intention and thoughts behind the character.

For me, I absolutely hated the novelist. You sensed your friend crumbling right before you but chose to ignore it. I know the friend loved him romantically and sold his body just cz he wanted to see someone he loves have a good life. It was his own selfish decision but that doesn't mean you can treat them like that. The person playing the bartender did a really good job with depicting depression. The way he was hoping to have someone by his side while people did show him comfort with words but not action. The way his life seemed shinning on the outside while he crumpled on the inside cz he chose to love someone more than himself😭 and that someone who never valued his sacrifices. Throughout the movie you can see him slowly losing and giving up on himself. You could see his breaking point when "I" told him that he was boring and him just exploding with the reality infront of "I". All he wanted was a simple uneventful life. All i hope is he didn't die and found someone who actually treasured him.

As for the novelist, selfish to the core. He knew his friend liked him romantically. Chose to leach on him. Then left him at his worst. Worse rubbed salt on his wounds. You can see he was insecure from the start when the girl told him how popular he was and also the scene where he comes back to the bar only to walk away. He does all that to his friend and then marries a girl he doesn't love enough. I felt the only reason he married her was to feel superior and feed his ego. You can see him calling her scary and saying she looks down on him etc showing his insecurity and the way he acts towards her shows his lack of interest in her... or he likes him not her but can't accept it.

As for the girl her character was comparatively simpler. More like an observer. She saw and knew everything but chose to keep quiet till the end. You can see how she stops midway when she says "i knew he sells his body but i didn't want u to know". You never get the ans for why. (Probably cz she knew they liked each other). She keeps saying she's jealous of them the whole time which i felt was an hint to her ex who seems similar to the novelist. So the reason she said yes to him and cz he finds her scary is cz she sees her ex in him.

The movie is more about how humans will chose something that benefits them over genuine care and concern. It hurts but it's good

Was this needed??? Especially as a special ep??

I feel this should have been in the main episodes probably before the main couple got together or they should have had it after they got together but with more episode after this reveal.

Whatever it was between Stone and Real was over idc about thier past. The info we got in the main episode was more than enough. They could have gave us some main couple cute moments or marriage in the special... atleast a ring???

This ep just made me kinda upset cz i feel real really does like stone more than Shi Lei cz he met Shi Lei back during his university days too but chose to chase stone. From what they hinted he was the bottom in that relationship. I feel he really loved Stone but Stone... didn't really care. Also i feel the reason he fell for Shi Lei was partially cz he saw stone in him with the way he reacted to the allergies, his remarks on superman etc.

Like bro he literally started working with stones despite his allergies just to meet stone even after that coma🙄. Idk i get that he moved on and chose Shi Lei but it still feels off for me.

It was really good until the ex showed up

This drama is a slowburn. The main couple literally took all 12 eps to get together. It started amazing. I really liked the love-hate relationship they had cz of that single rule. The 2nd couple was also soo damn adorable.

I have seen JN Yu in "wishing upon a shooting star" and loved him. I never knew he did bl before especially as a soft boy🤭🤭. Their story was pretty simple filled with cute moments.

I did watch "Just You" long ago back. Apparently this is the bl ver of it. For some reason i just didn't realise it🤣. I had dropped just you for being too draggy though. They made a smart chose by having this as a 22min 12 ep drama.

Now coming to the main couple. Absolutely loved the love hate and how both of them had this crush on each other at one point of time in the drama but i felt the ex showing up felt off and unnecessary. Like bro u already left him ages ago. Why are u even coming back to "fix" him when u already found someone else. Also what was the point of u trying to hit on him??? Like u come in and hit on his crush makes sense but hitting on him?? Nah. Also i felt it didn't make sense that he realised Yu Zhen liked Shi Lei cz when they made that jewelry both of them were like still in the "some" zone not even like. Even if he hadn't showed up Yu Zhen would have ended the single rule cz knowing shi lei he'd try to leave the company.

Also they kinda showed how they met where it looked like Yu Zhen had a brief crush on Shi Lei but then that's ignored and they just make it love at first sight once they start working. They could have done well on the ex part

One surprising thing was how they showed Yu Zhen as a switch. That's something u rarely see.

So yeah couple of minor issues. But the show is enjoyable overall.

Not from the novel so there are inconsistencies

It's good... but I expected better. This is not from the novel I am guessing they wrote it themselves but they should have kept things consistent. Like Fah was never a psychiatrist. That's a totally different degree from normal medical. They could have told Fah has taken care of Phoon and Fun since young so he is good with kids or something. Also Fah is definitely not a nice guy in bed that's the reason the doc gang calls him "wolf in sheeps cloths". Although he wouldn't force himself on Phoon he did convince Phoon to do it 99% of the days. They've changed that here and made him a good boy.. Although kids usually don't bother me they shouldn't have had the sister for 80% of the episode. They could have shown Phoon missing his friends that way they could link to the main special episode cz this is right before they meet or they could build a bit on that jealousy and show a wedding or atleast proposal. 5 years and Fah hasn't proposed?? Doesn't seem like Fah. Anyways I'm gonna miss my babies FahPhoon. It was good not the best

Cute but felt incomplete

I watching this cz i saw soo many edits. Initially I thought it was a cop romance but then i realized it was security gaurd romance. It's super cute, adorable, really simple story line where a new hire falls for his oblivious senior but then I felt just when the story was building up it ended like halfway. I was literally waiting for episode 5 and i get to know it's a 4 episode drama. Now I feel empty so my rating dropped from a 10 to 6.5😭

Both good and bad at the same time but i binge watched it

The drama is the literal definition of good and bad at the same time but then you can't stop watching 🤭.

When i started watching it. Everything looked good to me. I was wondering why the comments said otherwise but now I get it. The drama definitely needed more than 6 episodes. 6 wasn't enough. You could see them slowly falling for each other but the suddenly they're in love and dating. The pacing went off there. Plot wise, It's cliché but then fun to watch.

Coming to the acting... i really feel it needed work. The actors had chemistry but also didn't. I don't mind not having NCs but faking it soo badly is another thing😅. They really don't kiss but instead use the camera angle trick multiple times and when intimate scenes come up you can see the awkwardness through the screen.

The actor playing Jian Mo (Ray Chen) there were multiple times I couldn't understand his emotions. Like the scene after they sleep together.. he was supposed to show awkward, flustered and sky emotions but then he showed fear. I was wondering if he had some kind of trauma. Also the scene where the company asked him to sign the contract was supposed to be something emotional but that went flat.. there were multiple places this happens.

Although Xing Lang (Alan Chen) was better his emotions were off at times. Like the scene where he is supposed to be forceful towards jian mo's character... he was wayy softer. Etc

Anyways it was a fun watch. I kinda enjoyed it despite it's flaws🤣🤣

It was good until it wasn't. Worst climax ever

When I see the name ZeeNunew on a drama I just know they're gonna bore me by dragging things out. I came here cz i saw quiet some edits and thought this might be different. They always have this amazing production, acting, chemistry etc but then the story gets soo dragged it makes me sleepy. For the 1st time that didn't happen here. 75% of the movie was really good. It was interesting. Kinda gave Khemjira vibes to me. The plot was plotting. The acting was amazing. Things made sense until... it didn't.

The story is about this woman (ghost) who is trying to seek revenge on her husband's lover who according to her stopped her husband from loving her although she literally forced a gay man to marry her. This ghost is like trying to kill the lover's nephew. Here I was like bro he is not his son so why? Ok blood related digestible i guess but then this ghost only started seeking revenge after he comes to the house🙄.. she was like she couldn't hurt the lover cz he became a priest which means she could hurt the nephew but didn't all these years. The nephew is literally her grandson's boyfriend who she sees falling in love with the nephew and still kills him. Fine all this is like... ok some logic. The reason she stops this killing spree where she tries to kill her grandson n his lover is cz the husband and his lover say sorry for something they never did and the son asks her to stop. This was like a half ass apology n stopping. Like she didn't know she was hurting her grandson. I don't think my words can explain how horrible that climax was.

Also that lover who becomes a priest wth like you guys are soo in love enough to still smuggle ur lover into the house after marriage how the hell did u become a priest and what about that glorious love?? N the husband sigh

Anyways for me the highlight was namping in a kinda negative light. I was shocked to see him🤭🤭. He slayed the role tho. I think i liked the 2nd couple much better. It was more like stop putting your energy into someone who doesn't treasure it instead give ur love to someone who does kinda plot which i liked. I'd have liked the 1st couple minus the bs in the middle

Liked this more than the main story. Was more engaging

When I saw Your Sky had a special my 1st thought was why? Cz i felt there was literally nothing they could add and whatever it was they could have just added it to the main story cz that barely had any plot and after few episodes it was draggy and boring. The long episodes just made it worse for me who is not a fluff person.

Then i started the special as a stress relief kinda thing and frankly i didn't like the ep 1 much i was bored took a week to finish it and then put it on hold for about 3 months😅. I really didn't wanna watch this cz the comments said they barely included the 2nd and 3rd couple here who's story i was more interested in. Later DWY came out i absolutely loved the switch from PorTeetee to TeeteePor and i also watched DMD Friendship season 1 and 2 so now when i picked this up I knew the actors more especially Gems, Ryujin, Pat and also AuauSave so I was just swooning over my ships (this episode had their story). I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd episode. I still felt the acting needed some work cz the actors were pretty stiff and tensed in quiet some scenes but anyways for me it felt like i gotta watch an AU for DWY and a glimpse of DMD Friendship especially with the ending song we got in ep 3.

I still feel this should have been in the main story instead of special and if they had to keep a special they could have just kept a wedding special like we had for JohanNorth in fourever you
