This bl was everything I needed to brighten my days. This was so so fluffy and it made me scream so many times.
It’s the type of show that brings you so much comfort, so much happiness.

Pros:
- Fourthgemini was absolutely ADORABLE. They were kinda cliche but that cliche you absolutely adore and miss those days: the one that makes you melt your insides actually and feel super super single

- It was FUNNY. It made me miss romantic comedies. I rarely laugh at tv shows but especially some of Tinn’s fantasies in his head made me die. Omg just remembering these scenes makes me laugh HE’S SO CUTE

- The bromance. The band was amazing with all their adorable bromance moments. This squad is my favorite, they became my family

-The music. I usually HATE when there is music or a guitar in a tv show but these songs were BOPS I’m telling you. The theme song especially is stuck in my head. And if music isn’t for you just skip these parts, please don’t let this stop you from watching.

- Dealing with issues. I loved how this show also dealt with homophobia, family issues (and other stuff regarding the family but *spoilers removed*) etc

Cons:
NOTHING
Even tho there were some scenes that annoyed me for example some arguments and yellings from some members of the band here and there (thankfully not from the main couple, these were minor arguments) for sometimes not even a good enough reason, they were thankfully all dealt with and everyone apologized so I was really happy and actually really touched.

In conclusion: JUST WATCH THIS SHOW YOU WON’T REGRET IT

La música no es algo que te de cringe ya que las canciones son muy buenas. Una serie muy divertida, divertida y romántica, donde se demuestra que el amor de secundaria no siempre es malo. Algo que destacó es el hecho de que no solo se centra en el amor de los protagonistas, si no también de la amistad que lleva el grupo de Gun, es una amistad que realmente sientes que eres parte del grupo y eso me gusta mucho, hicieron un buen trabajo eligiendo al cast.

The Perfect Highschool RomCom

This is a belated review - I have watched this series around 6x now. I must say, this series really holds up even now that it's a couple of years since it's first released.

As someone in their mid twenties, I didn't expect to have a series in a highschool setting to be my biggest comfort series ever. It somehow has the capacity to be relatable to someone who can't even remember their highschool days, which is kind of magical. The writing is consistent and almost every scene feels intentional. The humor is not understated but it is also not too outlandish, which worked really well for me.

The premise is not special - it is a regular highschool one sided enemies to lovers, with a side of band life. We all have seen this formula before, but where MSP excels is the purposeful writing and excellent cast. It subverts a lot of normal tropes and fixes a lot of common issues the exists in regular highschool romance. I love how the series focuses on both platonic and romantic relationship as those things are equally important in my eyes. I hugely enjoy found family tropes and this one nailed it. I also love how the story progresses so smoothly - there is a clear climax (hot wave competition) but also there are smaller conflicts throughout that all contributes to build up the climax. I love how all small conflicts are resolved which left us with not much hanging questions. It is also incredibly refreshing to see well developed, multi-dimensional characters. Tinn and Gun is more well written than most and it is clear that they have identity aside from liking each other - this is more than I can say about a lot of other series. I also love how they are just both really good people. I have never understood people who have crushes with horrible personality (a very regular occurrence in the BL world) but with TinnGun I could fully understand why they would like each other. It wasn't merely one moment of kindness followed with tons of assholery, Gun is consistently kind throughout. I could continue to rant about how good this series is but I'll end this section with: how good is Fourth's voice? I wish he never stops singing.

Of course there are room for improvement still and the editing of the last couple of episodes are the biggest one for me. I enjoy them using clips of "imagination" but those weren't the most well placed in the last couple of episodes. I also would love it if we could have had more buildup between the ThiwPor side couple as I can feel that they have cut off pivotal ThiwPor scenes. Something was missing in the middle which didn't provide the smoothest transition of their relationship. I'm also not the biggest believer of the WinSound relationship, but that's more of a me problem more than anything.

This will continue to be my comfort series for a long time. I can't recommend this series enough and I just have to say that this is an insane debut series for Gemini and Fourth as a main couple.

A good surprise!

My school president was a surprise.

The plot for this show is not new. It involves a high school romance between two teenagers and their friends. I was over it. I’ve been watching boys' love dramas since 2018, so I’ve seen my fair share of this plot. When the trailer came out, I knew then that I would not be watching this show.

Oh, boy was I wrong.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I just had to watch the first episode. And so I was hooked. MSP is an example of when cliche is done right, and obviously, the incredible chemistry between rookie actors Gemini and Forth.

Getting to see two young boys experience love was a joy. Being queer is hard. Being queer and young is even harder. When you're that age, you slowly start to discover about yourself. Slowly, you grow into your skin. I personally never got to experience this. I was too busy hiding. I was afraid someone would find out my secret and my entire life would be over. I missed out on so much, all because of fear. Fear of my friends finding out, fear of my family finding out. I was afraid of myself.

Watching this I think healed a part of me. Made me regret a lot of things too. But in the long run, this just proves why shows like this are important. These shows are for us, afraid people. Who live vicariously through these characters, hoping to one day be just as brave.

God, I've never wanted to kick myself over the head more than i do now. Ugh!! I hate myself for not being patient enough to watch it past the 2nd episode when it was released. I just stopped because the first episode didn't manage to capture attention that much. But last month i saw some clips on ig of MSP and decided to give it another try and I've been obsessed ever since. I've lost count of the amount of times I've re watched it. And i hate myself for not supporting my kids when around the time it was released when i clearly could have if only I'd had little more patience. TRUST ME ON THIS GUYS. You will fall in love with Tinn and Gun's love. Their love is just so pure and heartmelting that u will keep wanting more.

Best bl for a musical person

I can't stop rewatching show help. Best show I've watched. If you like musicals and bl this will be the show for you. The story is so wholesome, funny, and charismatic. Tinns whole character is such a green flag and I really enjoyed gemini playing him. The whole cast of this show is perfect. Fourth playing Gun was really fun to see. Mark playing Tiwson always helped my heart during my only friends era when he was playing Nick. And all the band members were really entertaining. This show is actually what got me into bl but I'm afraid no show can top this show. It will always have a special place in my heart

First perfect score, kinda nervous. But how am I supposed to give it any less than what it deserves?


Production/Cinematography:

Good LORD the decisions they made in this show cinematography-wise were INSANE. I ate that shit UP. The ballroom scene??? The having Gun pop up in Tinn’s physical space like that??? The colors and lighting? Wow, masterfully done. Just every little thing made this show something more than just a simple high school love story. Production as well was amazing. Everything felt cohesive and right in its place.

Acting:

So good what the heck. Casting was amazing for this. For a story that was mostly lighthearted, the actors also did a great job portraying more serious emotions throughout ever damn scene. I was blown away. I can’t imagine that there is any other pair of people that could play Gun and Tinn than Gemini and Fourth. Bravo to them for their performances. The micro expressions and the over-the-top exaggerated expressions were beautifully acted out. Supporting cast has my heart too. The squads were fantastic and the parents were amazing as well. I mean come on Tao and Lookwa did AMAZING jobs as the mothers of these two guys. All my love to this cast.

Writing:

I can’t find a single fault. I can’t. I mean, the brain cancer thing was quite unrealistic due to a couple reasons but I’ll allow it for the sake of a relatively short drama series. It was just so well done. The writing decisions made in this show are only further proven to be amazing when you look at the source material which I have only heard absolutely terrible things about. Again, I’m blown away.

Chemistry/Romance/Kissing:

Chemistry was off the mf charts, my guy. These actors had me convinced this was a documentary istg. So amazing. This was such a lovely romance, I was immersed in Tinn and Gun’s growing love from start to finish and beyond. Kissing was sooo cute and silly but tender. Side couples were very cute as well, though that girl should have dodged the catfish bullet tbh. Loved the gl cameo they were so cute in the two little scenes they were in. Love this love.

Music/SFX:

Put this on a stage and give these mf a Tony. *Hey, fire* musical. I mean banger after banger, my guy. SFX were fittingly silly when they needed to be, best use of those goofy SFX out of any drama I’ve seen so far. And of course, it wouldn’t be a propper GMMtv show about loud young dudes without that mic peaking at least a couple times which I kind of love for some reason lol.

This was so cute and I did not expect to be thrown back into my memories watching that last episode. Not to be dramatic or anything but this show caused me to look at my Facebook for the first time in years to go through high school albums while listening to songs I listened to back in the day and cry because I didn’t follow my dreams that I’m only now realizing so many people in my life supported me on while looking at likes and comments. I’m definitely gonna be thinking tonight lmao. Never too late to test the waters and start over though. Just BRAVO to everyone involved in this series.
