My School President: "It's a trap!"
I sat down to watch "My School President" as a light, entertaining palate cleanser between more serious BLs, and as surprisingly high-quality fluff, it worked beautifully. The high school setting, the band, the great music, the broad comedy, the sound effects, the adorbs versus the dorks all worked together to create a surprisingly well-thought out, well-written, well-acted, cohesive series that was light entertainment at its best.I was fully, happily, unguardedly charmed, but then, it introduced … issues. Sincere, genuine, mature issues that work within the world the series creates: the difficulty of some parents coming to grips with having a Gay child, the ever present threat of homophobic violence, a couple trying to decide how to come out to their friends, how a Gay couple establishes a relationship with each others’ parents, the clash of people coming together from two vastly different socio-economic backgrounds, the importance of friendship, and more, and I am left with a new understanding: fluff can be important.
Conflict is often introduced in BL as an excuse for writers running out of ideas. Instead of furthering character or plot, conflict therefore often serves as filler. This “conflict for conflict’s sake” is so common that BL fans even have a term for it, the “Episode 11 Curse.”
That is almost never the case in "My School President." Tinn's mother (Pim Pympan) hesitates because of genuine concern for a Gay child in a homophobic world (not a cartoonish knee-jerk rejection) and she gradually grows in her understanding and acceptance. And yet, the introduction of a homophobic character proved her concerns were not only valid but unfortunately relevant to the real world - the world beyond the protective, sheltering BL bubble.
The Episode 11 Curse still occurs, however, in, yes, Episode 11. The conflict is relatively minor, but that’s not the problem. Rather, almost all of Episode 11 is filler. It could have been cut by 3/4 and still made its points. Once again, writers seem to approach a series’ end, run out of ideas, and tread water until Episode 12. To their credit, however, the writers did not introduce shock value and kept the padding within the tone already established by the series. It may have been boring and unnecessary, but it wasn’t a tonal whiplash.
The fact that I remained invested even during a slow section is due largely to an outstanding performance by Fourth, who anchors - no, carries, almost singlehandedly - the entire series. Acting since he was a child and with GMMTV since he was 15, Fourth brought a grounded naturalness, a mature professionalism, energy, and a sense of being fully present in every scene despite the fact that he was only 17 when filming started. His group of close friends (the adorbs) complement the high-energy joy Fourth brings to the series.
In contrast are the student council members (the dorks), led by Gemini, who are more tightly-wound. The dorks include some well-known GMMTV stars, such as Mark Pakin (outstanding in both "Moonlight Chicken" and "Only Friends") and Aun ("Only Boo!," "Perfect 10 Liners"). The high-personality supporting actors are needed to balance Gemini’s woodenness.
I first saw Gemini in "Moonlight Chicken," where he played a withdrawn hearing-impaired teenager being gently introduced to the larger world by his sensitive and caring new friend, played by Fourth. Being hearing-impaired can impose its own special kind of isolation, leading sometimes to a noticeable decrease in the outward expression of emotion (low affect). When Gemini displayed a limited emotional range, I therefore thought he was in character. After seeing him now in three series playing three different characters, each of whom had contained emotions, I’m no longer so sure.
Whatever the source of Gemini’s controlled performance - character choice or natural register - Fourth more than just compensates for it; he transforms it into something that works. Gemini and Fourth together are truly more than the sum of their parts.
The overwhelming reaction to "My School President" was that it was an exceptional example of BL fluff at its best, and it certainly is, but that, I think missed the point. My School President proved that sheer fun and social meaning do not have to be mutually exclusive. As entertaining as it is, it carries an important, mature message exemplified by Mark’s question to Fourth, "Why can’t people be as kind as the series we watch?” That question lingers with me.

UNEXPECTEDLY MUSICAL GOOD DRAMA
This Drama brought me back to my High school days, you can clearly prove here that High School is one of the best and the happiest part of your life !The vibe that this drama has given me made me give this rating, coz this is the reason why I watch drama, it's for the good vibes, life lessons and get jealous over and over again watching the leads fall in love wishing it could happen to me also one day.. lol anyways..
I saw that this drama is a musical drama, There are so many songs and damn ! I wanna save them all and have them become my playlist for a week !
One of the best part here is the bond between this music club, you can say that this drama is not just about love but of friendship and I don't know why but, this drama brought me to the world of a high school kid, like you might notice as a young adult speaking here (coz' I am already in my 20's + age ) sometimes you thought that high school kids have like have no deep understanding on many things, well you can say that but here we can see high school kids have things that thay are going through that we do not understand ..
sample is the part where the music club members went out for their thanks giving, and they fought at each other and blaming each other after loosing the Hot wave music awards .. damn ! I cried a lot at that scene ! specially when they apologized to each other and decided to stand for their team ! what a nice bond they have ! such a strong friendship ! they literally got me there !
everything and everypart was just really relatable to me, I remembered my high school days and all the acivity and stuff we did !
My best part and the part that put me to the maximum level of vibe here is the end part of course ! I literally felt and remembered my high school days where it was our last day and we have to leave everything and begin to find our dreams ! I love that ..
This drama is just so different from what I expected, I thought it is just like the other, but I was wrong, there was no drama like this it is just strangely different.
I also liked the part where Tinn and Gun heard a teacher speaking ill about them coming out as a couple, I realized and asked in this part that why does it have to be like every gay have to experience such as discouraging things as this ? like gays or any member of LGBTQIA+ must have having a hard time but is fighting until now... well even the fact that is is like this and it is sad .. it is the reality anyways .. there will always be someone who accepts and understands and supports .. but there will also always be someone who disagrees, bashes and does bot accept thesr things ..☹️ .. we cannot please everybody, the most important thing is our own happiness.. if there'll be someone to support, its good but if many disagrees .. just don't mind them and not let them get through you ..
The kiss of Win and Sound is a bit awkward and funny , but they did get through it so thats enough 🤣 ..
my favorite character here is Tiwson 😅 He is so cute adorable and funny, GeminiFourth couple is also cute !
Love this series !

I'm looking for a cute naughty romantic series with comedy and these series really serves me better.... all the casts and crew , theme , songs, story are really heartwarming.... really the part where both of the parents of the both main characters support them in their relationship is so much cute... and the story of friendship with love , trust , believe, likeness, supporting is of a great meaning.... though all of them are different in every side but they share the common feeling of friendship which made their friendship strong....please support MY SCHOOL PRESIDENT the series
and all the casts....

HEALTHY Relationships
Where to start... First of all, the relationship was very HEALTHY, and if there is one thing I love about BL Dramas, it's that both main characters in the relationship are on the same page, and there will be no toxicity involved in the end.STORY:
The story felt pretty generic in the first episode, but I got fooled when I saw episode 2 where they switched POV from Bandleader "Gun" to the School President "Tinn". With that, we not only get to see Gun's side but also Tinn's, and later a bit of the supporting characters who also had some interesting things going on. They weren't in the focus as much, but that was fine in my opinion since they were still a big part of the story.
I don't want to spoil too much about the story. I will just say that the buildup to the next "arc" was perfectly implemented.
CHARACTERS:
Gun and Tinn have very different personalities, but somehow they made them so damn compatible with each other. It's also very interesting how I first thought, "Oh, I know what kind of guy he is" - because I was so wrong. Especially about Tinn. I thought Tinn was some strict asshole, but holy shit, no. He's shy and a gay mess.
Side Characters/Ships:
With them being a band, I was initially worried they would write the rest as NPCs, just there for the music, since that's a common thing in dramas/TV shows with a music genre. But nope. Every character mattered because with one of them missing, they wouldn't be THE Band.
"Win" is the hot-headed friend who says aloud what he thinks before thinking, but he always means well and apologizes when he's wrong.
"Sound" - I didn't like him at first. He appeared like 2/3 episodes later, and my first impression was that he was some prick. But that's what the series wanted you to think of him because, in a sense, he is that. But he's also a very thoughtful boy who just wants the best for the band and has a love for music. He just takes it a bit more seriously than the other boys. He and Win are very different, but just like Gun and Tinn, even though they are so different, they are indeed a perfect match.
"Por" is somebody who, I have to admit, I didn't really feel for until like episode 8. Like, he wasn't bad or anything, he was funny, but he just got really "loud" later on for specific reasons. But I thought when he got good screen time, they did the right thing. His highlight moment was great.
"Tiw," unlike the other supporting characters, is not a band member but a member of the student council team and also the best friend of Tinn. And wow, let me tell you, he is just the BEST matchmaker ever! Sometimes I felt like he was speaking for the audience, and I loved that. Tiw and Por are also a "ship," but it happens very late, which I found very sad, to be honest. But I guess that was because Por didn't get that much attention until later. But it was alright.
"Yo" is nice and also got a little bit of a storyline, which I found very cute.
"Phat" is probably the only one with little to no story, but that's literally so basic for the drummer of a band. But then again, I felt like it was fine. He did his part in the main story and was an overall great character.
Overall, we have a great number of characters with different kinds of personalities and interests, which I always find
Other than that, we also have the parents who I find very interesting. Gun's and Tinn's mothers are so different from each other, but both work so well. I really, really loved them. They are truly wonderful parents.
ACTING:
That's something I loved the most here, actually. You can tell how well the actors work with each other.
Music:
Incredible. Not saying much. I don't understand the language, but I always have a smile on my face. Wonderful.
Oh, and the intro is also very nice!
Rewatch Value:
This has rewatch value - something I might actually rewatch in a year or so.
Dislike?
Well, I wasn't much of a fan of the silly sounds they popped in here and there. I know that's just how they produced it, but when I watched the first episode, I needed some time getting used to it, haha
TLTR;
The BL drama has a healthy relationship between the main characters, Gun and Tinn, and the story is initially generic but becomes more interesting as it switches perspectives and builds up to the next arc. The characters, including the supporting ones, are well-developed and their dynamics within the band are explored. The parents of Gun and Tinn are also interesting and well-portrayed. The acting is great, and the music is incredible, even though I don't understand the language. The intro is nice, and the series has rewatch value. The only dislike is the occasional use of silly sounds, but overall, it's an enjoyable drama.

An upbeat and bubbly BL series with amazing music!
My School President is a delightful and adorable BL series that embraces the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. It exudes cheerful humor, introduces lovable characters, and showcases remarkable chemistry between the leads. With the show being one of the highest-rated on the site and receiving widespread praise, I had high expectations going into it. I eagerly anticipated witnessing the relationship between Tinn and Gun unfold alongside the intriguing plot.
In terms of the plot, it follows a familiar enemies-to-lovers template. The two initially start as rival contenders competing for the school presidency, but as their feelings for each other grow, they can no longer contain their emotions and must confront them. The show did an excellent job of portraying the evolving relationship between the two boys. There were moments where I couldn't help but giggle like a schoolgirl whenever they displayed affection towards each other. However, I must mention that there is a lack of physical intimacy, and we only get a kiss between them during the final moments of the show. Considering their young age, it's understandable that they may not be overly affectionate in a more intimate manner.
One aspect that slightly bothered me and led to a slight reduction in my rating was the abundance of dead space in certain scenes. I often found myself skipping through unnecessary scenes that didn't contribute much to the plot, making the series feel longer than it needed to be. I believe everything could have been accomplished in 10 episodes instead of 12.
One of the highlights of the show for me was the music and the accompanying music videos. I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic music selection. The various music performances throughout the series were incredibly catchy, and I found myself rewatching them multiple times. One of my favorite scenes was in episode 5 when Gun's mother starts singing to him, and each cast member has their own introspective moment, contemplating the next steps. It brought me great joy.
Overall, I adored the two main leads, Gemini and Fourth, and I appreciated the inclusion of the two additional BL couples in the show who also received screen time. It was a nice addition to the series. I would wholeheartedly recommend this upbeat and cheery BL series to anyone in search of a lighthearted watch.

A cute drama
if you are not into smut or something, best one. you won't even get a kiss scene for the 11 episodes. there is only two kiss scenes🥺casting is awesome. and the way gemini and fourth acted was so cute. I totally liked it. I was waiting for the kiss scenes the whole time. at first I was so disappointed about it. but when the kiss came, I was like.... worth waiting!!!!!!!! best one to watch if you're new. I cried when I saw the last episode. when like they all were singing and keeping notes for the next juniors. it is cute

MSP has instantly become my favourite BL ૮ ˶´ ᵕˋ ˶ა ♡
I have watched so many different types of BLs but this one really stood out to me… if you haven’t given it a try you have to! (o´▽`o)Firstly, this show really reminded me of 2gether the series and Bad buddy. I’m not saying that the storyline or anything is similar, but it’s the feeling it gives you. For me, 2gether was my first series which brought me so much happiness and comfort, while Bad buddy was a series that helped me through some tough times. My school president is just so vibrant, fun and comforting, it feels like home. Every single one of the songs are so spectacular, the chemistry between each of the couples (especially tinngun ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡) are so strong and beautiful, and the actors played their roles so well. (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄)
I very casually decided to watch this show, but I had never expected it to leave such an impact on me. I cried not just at the sad moments, but at the happy ones too, because I was just so happy for the characters. (T⌓T) The actors did so well in portraying their characters that I could feel their emotions through the screen. When they were facing troubles, i wanted to root for them. When they were singing, it made me want to sing with them. This show brought me so much happiness and it definitely deserves the large amount of attention it is getting. ♡(ŐωŐ人)
To sum it up, this show is a must watch. Everything is beyond amazing and this show is like home to me, and everyone needs to see this masterpiece. ᕙ(‾̀◡‾́)ᕗ

Cute but extremely predictable
This is a plot that is all too familiar and predictable. Everything I expected to happen, happened. I would be lying if I said I didn't like it. Cute cast members and silly romance? Of course I'd enjoy it. But 12-episodes of this slow burn was a little exhausting to watch. They could've compacted this storyline into 8 episodes and still have time to spare. It was a little anti-climatic as well.GunTinn were nice to watch. The supporting characters were honestly not that impressive. Did not care for the side couple. Tinn and Gun's mothers were great though.
Between the two main leads, Fourth is definitely the better actor. Gemini's acting still comes off a little unnatural at times. This was a very typical GMMTV production and is honestly just above average in terms of BLs. Don't really get the hype. FourthGemini's acting and chemistry in Moonlight Chicken, and even their storyline (Liming & Heart) in that show surpasses this by a mile.
Music was great too!
If you're a new BL fan, just into fluff BLs, or are simply running out of good quality BLs, I would definitely recommend this.

One of the most refreshing BL of all time
Honestly, I don’t know where to start , but if you have doubts about this BL please read this.I’ve been watching BL since around mid 2020, and have seen all types of BLs from every region, and every troupe. It only took 4 episodes of My School President to completely over take my top 5.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with Gemini and fourth as they put on a hell of a show in their first lead acting roles. The two young actors manage to perfectly capture the essence of young love, school days, and friendship. You really are put into their world as all the characters feel so real and dynamic despite the fact that they don’t all necessarily have a lot of screen time, and this is what really sets apart MSP from the rest.
I usually am so uninterested in side characters/ couples because the writers never take enough time to really round them out and make them they’re own unique person, but MSP completely breaks this troupe and every character is lovable and fun. The show also breaks the horrid curse in every BL where the two main leads are always having misunderstandings which leads to frustrating plots and miss communication. Tinn and Gun always communicate and work out the kinks before they even turn into huge fights. Their relationship is extremely healthy and mature which is something BLs aren’t seen doing often as the directors always feel the need to add more drama.
Though the plot isn’t anything we haven’t seen, and is a pretty basic premise, god it works so well with the tone and genre of this show. A PERFECT rom com… seriously.
Also, every musical performance and song since episode 1 has been AMAZING!! All of the cast are amazing singers, and are actually very musically talented. (Also breaking the curse of horrifically cringey songs and guitar scenes in BLs.. you know the ones….)
I have sooooo much more I could say, but the show hasn’t even ended yet!! Who knows, maybe the end will change how I feel about this show, but for now: please watch this cute, squeal worthy, hilarious show that has brought so many BL fans together.

Easily one of the best romcoms
I’m usually not a fan of romcom-centered dramas—especially modern ones. Honestly, they can be so boring and slow, which definitely doesn’t fit my taste because I want drama all over the place. But wow, this series completely changed the game for me. It gave me all the high-stakes drama and excitement I wanted, but without any of that bitter, toxic aftertaste. The way this series delivers the main characters' love story is so incredibly refreshing and heart-fluttering to the max. Every single episode had me smiling like crazy, especially watching how Tinn pursues Gun. Like, seriously, that has to be the sweetest, most pure execution of a crush ever.
What really hooked me, though, was the pacing. You know those slow-paced dramas that just drag on and make you want to skip ahead? This isn’t that. It completely eliminates that usual boredom by staying laser-focused on the plot and the romance. There’s no useless filler. Plus, they did an absolute masterclass of a job showing the mix of music and love. The soundtrack and the performances blend so perfectly into the story that I can’t even fully express how much I love it.
Also, can we talk about the first episode? It totally baits you into thinking you’re getting that classic enemies-to-lovers trope, but then it flips the script into something completely different and way better. It’s actually just Tinn being a total dork who has no idea how to express his feelings the right way.
As for the acting, Gemini did a great job playing that total loser in love—especially those moments where he smiles just because Gun notices him. However, if I'm being fully honest, his overall expressions just didn't quite fit my expectations for the role.
On an insignificant note, though: I really think actors being caged into fixed "love teams" is so degrading and doesn’t actually showcase their range. Because of this practice, I'm not really a fan of the Thai entertainment industry's setup. Fourth has such an incredible talent when acting, and I would really love to see him get paired up with other actors to see what else he can do.
But overall, if you want a romance that skips the boring fluff, delivers pure serotonin, and keeps you hooked from start to finish, this is 100% it.
