Falling before Fireworks

Both very healing, slow burns. imo FBF walked so TBT could run. There are still some cliche's and some bumpiness in the storyline for FBF. But these are both very refreshing, focusing on a slower life (ML lives a slower life) while FL works in a customer-first intense job (FL adjusts to living a slower life). The backgrounds of the characters are very different though, leads are dealing ways to navigate and heal from their trauma. imo, also, both relationships really don't make sense at first, both sides do not want to burden the other side, but they show their love in unique ways. The production/storyline quality is a bit better for TBT, but I think the ML was a little too perfect, whereas FBF really showed ML and FL's strengths and weaknesses.

The characters are extremely similar. FL is clever, independent, confident and desperate for marriage while ML is shy, calm, working from home and end up being a househusband after getting married. Both of the couple chemistry are great and their scene are making me kicking in the air. Super fluffy!

- Story well written, intelligent, full of wisdom.

- Magnificent landscapes, magnificent images... Makes you want to go to Dali (Yunnan):)
- Extraordinary actors: grand-mother, aunts, children, roommates,... => very endearing.
- the OSTs are fitting, beautiful... Perfect.

FL is a city girl, and is more aggressive than the guy, makes the first move but... :)

ML is a guy living in the countryside. Guy is calm, good with traditional work & hard labor. ML is also not what he seems to be at first glance.

Let’s just say both male leads have this high spirit in maintaining cultural heritage. Both live in similar village and both have a strong will to work on the artifacts and love culture…

First of all,,, I would say… Keyu and Xinhai looks soooooooooooooooooo similar in these drama… which leads me to watch both… but,, overall you can watch FBF and SB for:
- Older woman/Younger man trope
- Complicated relationship
- Sweetness overload
- Whipped man..

Focuses around preserving Chinese culture--if you like/want to learn more about crafts and history, Hi Producer revolves around that theme. It is not a romance driven drama but when I watched this I thought of Hi Producer's intention to celebrate and preserve Chinese arts and architecture.
