Some cdrama writers think that throwing in a death or two unnecessary death is somehow arty when it's rather stupid. It only serves to make the story weak and annoying. It can be a right turn off for many viewers. Of course there are times when it's necessary but often it's just done because of some stupid notion that it's artistic. So uncool, unprofessional and unnecessary
A random or pointless death doesn’t make a story deeper - it just feels like cheap drama for the sake of shock value. If it doesn’t serve the plot or character growth, it just weakens the whole thing. There’s a big difference between meaningful stakes and death for “art” - and too many dramas get it wrong. Storytelling is an art form that requires practice and study.
