Great acting and direction
This drama really sets of the hearts of Xianxia lovers. This drama has a great storyline and good direction. This production values, artistry and beauty is sick as expected from high valued drama. Yes, it does give the Love and Redemption/Ashes of Love vibe, but that is a positive as those dramas had amazing storyline and production value. The acting really wins it for this drama as the facial expression and emotions are so well displaced. The emotions feels so realistic that you don't feel like it's acting and that is why you will definitely cry every time they cry as well. I hear people complain about the the CGI, but it is definitely good enough as it still sets off the beautiful Xianxia world. Did Journey to the West use great CGI work? Did any of the past great dramas need great CGI work to keep us engaged?Was this review helpful to you?
Captivating story
This drama is such a heartbreak as it portrays a very classic Xianxia love story. I have to give credit to the actors for portraying their characters way too well as the sad moments were so emotional and real. I don't think I have seen a Xianxia drama with better acting than this one. It is not slow pace so it keeps the viewer's interest very well and does not get draggy so far. The story gets intense pretty quickly and there is a lot of hardships that both the leads go through. With that said, there is a bit comedy to this. The scenes show happy and cheerful memories that both the leads share together. It is a good mix of both.Was this review helpful to you?

Boring
all xianxia elements in one drama 🤡 no plot… if u start understand whats going another element appear like bomb 🤣 and 70 episodes 😵 dropping… and acting 🥴 no expression… everywhere same… leads has a no chemistry… i watched lots of xianxia and as a fan of xianxia really disappointing 🥴 review need a 500 characters thats why writing 😤 otherwise there is nothing i can describe about drama 😫😫 it’s literally nothing to watch… u can just watch when u don’t able to sleep, u will probably sleep 🤣🤣🤣Was this review helpful to you?
Must Watch!
Anyone who watches this drama will know what I mean when I say that it is so addicting. I recommend to anyone who like historical drama or Xianxia drama, because it has a very good intense storyline that puts your emotions up and down. The main leads are great at expressing emotion. If you like, Eternal love or Ashes of love :)CGI is also really beautiful. There is one scene that looks very pretty and nice with CGI.
So far, it is definitely a top Xianxia drama for me. It is definitely comparable to the top Xianxia dramas and if you like those you will be not disappointed. THIS IS A MUST WATCH!

WATCH THIS!!
I’ve been waiting for months for this drama and even read the novel while waiting. It definitely fulfilled all my expectations and fixed a lot of the original novel’s flaws and made the storyline overall much better. The storyline is perfectly paced and there’s no drag or filler in any of its episodes. I love Cheng Yi and Yan Dan’s acting and their chemistry is top notch. Both main characters have a good character depth and for why they fell for each other and willing to make sacrifices for each other that make sense unlike some dramas I’ve watched where the main cp fall for each other without making sense or just extremely fast paced. Totally recommend if you loved Love and Redemption and Ashes of Love!!Was this review helpful to you?

Best cdrama ever!!
I love this,the story line, the suspense, the build up of romance between FL and ML.I must also mention how the FL and ML are my favourite Chinese actors.I have a feeling it’s gonna end brilliantly and not to mention there’s a second part.As long as I’m aware there’s a lot to look forward to and I can’t wait to finish.I recommend this cdrama to everyone cause it’s great! I bc ace a strong feeling this dramas gonna blow up and I mean it I’ve never been so sure in my life!Im on my break and I know I’m not gonna be bored as there’s the greatest cdrama ahead of me!All the actors are exceptional and so are the graphics.I absolutely love the cast as there is a mix of The Love and Redemption cast and the Ashes of love cast.I’m going to say again this is something o recommend to everyone! Best Xianxia 2022
This drama is soooooo good! The visuals and theme of the drama is so pretty. The CGI is pretty good overall, but there could be better lighting/coloring done to make it more vibrant. YZ and CY were picked perfectly for this drama as no other actor or actress could have done it better than them! The acting is impressive and full of sensation. Definitely Xianxia queen and king! Very anticipated for the following episodes! Love Xianxia!
This drama gives similar vibes to Eternal love and Ashes of Love, meaning that you can expect it to be another big hit. This drama portrays a funny and witty female lead with a more serious male lead. The matching is perfect as their love story really represents a beautiful story. The acting is great as the leads clearly portray such emotion with their actions and words. Their crying scenes really makes your heart ache as that goes with Xianxia dramas. The\ costumes are so pretty and the hair/makeup on YZ are also delicate and pretty. It really makes you want to wear one for yourself lol. The ending ost is too good as well. I've been listening to the 1 hour verison on youtube and I never skip the ending song. Xianxia typically have a lot of tears, so prepare your tissues!Was this review helpful to you?
Good so far
I watched for the female lead, because it reminded me of Ashes of Love and it really like it so far. It's similar, but I feel like this is a little faster pace than that one. I think the love story is worth watching if you like an emotional rollercoaster with tears and laughter. It will probably be my favorite Xianxia of the year.-very suspenseful (addicting)

I can't see anthing new
Really. There's nothing new here. If I'm going to watch this for the first time, it is not bad but I can't help and conpare it to Ashes ofLove and Love and Redemption because IT IS SO SIMILAR! The casts says it all. Anyways it's actually fine to see something that it similar but for some reason, the plot here is a "little" worse? Probably because of the villain and the sister? It seems their IQ is so low and they have nothing better to do than chase the so called love. Ughhh 😫Cast lineup is good. Acting is of course good. That's yang zi and cheng yi, both veterans of their field. Other casts are also veteran. They wasted resources and potential for this.
This was supposed to be one of my highly anticipated xianxia drama.

10 stars. [the ml and fl acted so incredibly. I loved their facial expressions and banter during the series. The side characters acted amazing as well.] {the plot was amazing and throughly planned & didn’t feel rushed at all. I loved how there was different stories in the series but they all came together and connected with one another in a certain manner that didn’t feel a lot. I was really looking forward to seeing Yan Yuan transform into the Aksara clan—it would have been so badass, but it wasn’t shown, which was really disappointing. Overall, this drama had a dragged-out storyline. It could have been wrapped up in 20 episodes, but they kept adding unnecessary conflicts, which made it boring to watch.
