So when does JLF forgive him and start doing the chasing? How long until that happens?

When they get closer to the group reunion

So I’m guessing either amnesia or he’s gonna start hating her for some reason? Because I can’t imagine what would make him stop chasing her. Lol

Let me be clear, there is a distinction between the Drama and Novel when it comes to setting up their relationship.

There is a specific reason the ML is drawn to the FL; his core story in the novel is Possession and Love. The Drama really highlights this. The Novel ML was more aloof, and the FL had a hard time reading his emotions and thoughts.

There are a couple more instances where the ML will save the FL's life, and when they go on a joint mission with the Sea Sect for the first time. This is when the FL and ML "become a couple".

To be fair, this is subjective on my part; I didn't really buy their relationship in the novel either. But the novel really made them out to be like childhood sweethearts.

What made her start chasing him in the novel?

What made her start chasing him in the novel?

They are connected cause of their hidden identity.

So she simply can't help it because they're destined to chase each other?

In the novel, it is only ML who is drawn to her, not the other way around. FL fell in love with him on her own.

That's why his core character journey is Possession and Love.

Last question: what was the catalyst that made her forgive him and start chasing him?

I don't know if I mentioned this: Novel LXY never tried to kill her specifically, as portrayed by the Drama. He, however, was one of the only ones who knew most of her secrets, as well as Riyan and stuff like that.

There wasn't a single moment that made JLF start chasing LXY. But it was more what LXY continued to do, be there for her, risking his life to save her, etc., etc...At times, it was more JLF questioning herself about her identity (she has no clue about her secret identity til much later). And her feelings for him.

The Drama adaptation will most likely do the "LXY continued to do, be there for her, risking his life to save her"; these are events that happen in the novel. So far, they have been following the events pretty closely.

How old Lifei and LXY in the novel on the current event (eps 16ish)?

He should be around 17-18 JLF is 1 year younger

There are many differences between the novel and the drama. However, most of what happened up to episode 10 did occur in the novel. So it will be fun for me to answer any curious mind 😉

I will only answer anything you want with Yes, No, or Maybe about what happens in the novel. Give me your wildest theory!

Did lanya betray tongzhou in the novel?

Great Question, so Lanya, she does obsess over Tongzhou like how the drama portrays her. However, she never "betrays" him; she simply does not get the chance to do so. Tongzhou descended into madness and rose to power in the novel. Lanya was only able to watch from afar, never once capturing his love. She eventually just died of old age.

Thanks mate

How layered is LXY as a character in the novel compared to the drama? He feels so one-dimensional in the drama.
