Pale Moon

Both drama are about a woman who are is unhappy in her marriages, who wishes for a family but failed to have one, who has friends that are rich, influential and have the life that she wishes for. Both women end up in a situation where they acquire a lot of money and are tempted to use that money for themselves. Both set of a chain of actions because of that money.

The main female characters in both series are married but entangled with men much younger in an affair. Both female leads are rich, whilst the male leads are more on the poorer side. The male leads are both university students. There is a secondary couple in Tokyo Tower, and Pale Moon has two.

The relationship dynamics between the two leads is very similar. Both have a woman unsatisfied with her marriage and seeking love and comfort in the arms of a younger guy.

They are both slow paced in plot development too.

When it comes to the overall atmosphere it's not similar at all however the relationship between the 'main couple' if you can even call them that is pretty similar in terms of age gap (which is finally different from the typical older man younger woman trope that is everywhere)
