try not to read too much before watching

Overall: what a wild ride this was. I enjoyed the twists and turns as we went and liked how it was difficult to predict the ending. It's best if you don't read too much about the plot beforehand and I'm going to keep my review on the more vague side (other than the content warnings). If AIS Play ever gives it a permanent official international release (instead of the 2 hour watch window), I'll bump it up to 9.

Content Warnings: attempted murder, murder, attempted suicide, suicide, blood, violence, spying, manipulation

What I Liked
- good way to start a series and get the viewers' attention
- funny and cute moments along with the serious, mystery and action moments
- a new take on an existing sci fi idea
- Tan & Bun cameo

Room For Improvement
- some nonsense medical things, also the medical definitions went by too fast to read
- other nonsense things but I don't want to list and give things away
- the ending was rushed and confusing, they needed a bit more time to explain things in a logical way

A plot that keeps pulling you back in for more? In this BL? It’s more likely than you think.

When I first started Triage, I must say, I was not entirely sure what to expect. Medical drama? With a time loop? And of course a romance? To be honest, I worried a little that the show would be too melodramatic for my tastes.

My friends, I need not have worried.

Triage is a show that is heavy on the plot, deals in some darker themes, and is full of twists and turns, but never becomes so convoluted that it’s hard to follow. Unlike some other media about time loops I’ve seen, each new loop brings entirely new choices and consequences, keeping every episode fresh and clipping along at a good pace that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The romance is also quite lovely, and although both characters are occasionally dumbasses (I say affectionately), their emotional growth is inherent to the story and builds in a way that for the most part feels very natural and well done. There’s also some absolutely brilliant mirroring in the ways their devotion to keeping each other alive plays out, but explaining that would be a spoiler, so I shall refrain.

Now to be entirely fair, Triage isn’t perfect. There ARE a handful of moments when twists in the plot or emotional development come off a tad clunky or rushed, and not every detail is fleshed out as much as it could have been. However, every show has it's flaws, so trust me when I say you shouldn’t let that stop you from giving it a try. Overall, Triage is a fresh and quick paced ride that does an exceptionally good job of tying together its complicated narrative and emotional arcs.

Definitely a recommendation, 100% worth the watch.

Unique BL, but not the best BL

The storyline was interesting in the beginning and then fell off the handle.

Takeaways:
1. Love timeloop + medical drama
2. BL with a plot
3. Decent actors, some were better than others, especially the actors who played Rit, Sing, Jinta stood out. The leads were kinda stiff in emotional scenes and stared at each other creepily; wasnt the strongest chemistry, but wasnt the worst. Part of it could be because of the script. Some actors don't really have any real roles like the female doc, ex-gf of Tin's, the evil friend duo of Tol's or the mutual friend winggirl.
4. Plot.
I was going to give up on the series because it took me forever to finish ep 1. There was a lot of medical info dump and stiff acting from Tin (maybe because he was exhausted?) and repetitive time loop scenes, but I powered through. From ep 2 to 11, the story telling was quite compelling, albeit with a lot of loopholes. Like the convenient family friend/savior or tutor-student relationships , handing over the book to get Tol up to speed in ep 12, or change of rules wrt timeloop didnt make sense. The way Tin and Tol switched personalities was also questionable. Tin was not friendly towards Tol in the beginning because he thought he was responsible for drunk driving, but then did a whole 360 and started falling in love with Tol for no real reason because imo Tol was so unlikeable. When the POV switched to Tol, Tin was kinda emulating Tol's earlier behavior which feels so out of character for Tin, especially as a Doctor, where is his empathy when he decided to leave Tol at the hospital knowing how frantically he was searching and waiting for Tin for hours. The characters conveniently remember the past or forget it atleast in the later episodes its shown that Tin starts remembering Tol from the kiss. Anyway, the mystery was more of less solved by episode 4, the rest of the episodes was about romance and learning small new information about the characters/loop and getting out of it. Despite that the middle episodes were entertaining up until the POV change to Tol. While I don't hate the idea, the plot fell even flatter after that and there was a lot of scene repetition. Finale felt predictable more or less though I dont know why Tin has to be in a coma for an unknown length of time and how he suddenly wakes up to find Tol at the clocktower. I feel like I could go on and on about the problems I had with the plot.
5. Music was okay, nothing outstanding, not terrible.
6. Wish the cast had a slightly diverse wardrobe when they are outside the hospital/uni setting. Like Tol could have worn more casual clothes instead of his uni uniform. Thats a side-effect of a story set in time-loop, but I feel like this show had more scenes to work around to change wardrobe as opposed to shows like Reset (Chinese).

I think I'm being quite generous with my rating here. I would rate it 7-7.5 since there wasnt anything especially outstanding about it. But I love how the show has more plot than a typical BL, but also not quite well-written for it to be a Thriller and would love to see more such attempts from the BL industry. Despite the awkward romance, I feel like it had the right amount of romance and I enjoyed how there were good kisses but no explicit NC scenes and the narrative was mostly focused on developing and resolving the plot. In comparison to Manner of Death that I rated slightly higher at 8.5, I feel like while that had less romance, it was more gripping whodunit mystery that was more compelling until the very end.

I loved it

People are hyped with other series but I'm in love with this series. Story, casting, acting production everything was perfect. It's giving me grey's anatomy vibe. At 1st I thought it will have same story because of the time loop but actually it was totally opposite. Each and every episode has a different story different emotional vibe different way of representative. I specifically love the ' jinta ' character. But the romance between tin & tol was little if we compare to other BL dramas . But they put the story 1st . No matter what people say i love it. Probably gonna be the best thai BL drama of 2022

A MASTERPIECE IN A THE OCEAN OF BL

When i first read the synospis i was already hooked (time loops i love it) but i was really worried because time loops if they aren't write correctly could finish in ridiculous thing but SPOILER : NOT HERE

This story is more than a romance, the romance is part of the story but the story isn't based on the romance there are so much more : thriller, fantasy etc....

I really love that finally we uunderstand than the loop take place in Tin life because of the vow in their childhood ! Like "gods" hear him and let him be responsible for Tol's life !

The side couple come later but they are so so cute and the alchemy is so beautiful

The acting is perfect and i'm really impress concerning Tae of how much he improve ! He litteraly carries on his shoulder the first part of the series !

TRIAGE IS A MUST TO BE SEEN SERIES !!!!

actually very impressed

When i started out i did not have high expectations. How can they make a time loop concept intersting for 13 episodes i thought . But it's definitely interesting. It subverts expectations and breaks your previous belief about the characters. Each episode brought in some new knowledge that made me question the characters . Chemistry wise , the plot did not allow them to have a firey chemistry. But the subtle moments were conveyed wheel. ending was a bit confusing but overall incredibly satisfied with this show. One of the best this year to be honest. I really appreciate the writing in this. After this I'll try and find the original novel to read.

VERY WELL MADE BL :)))

Where to start?? Let's start with the word: Interesting which this BL really is. I've never seen such a story in any series/movie.

STORY: As i already mentioned, very interesting story and very well made. I really like series about medical stuff so I was excited for this BL. And I was not disappointed! (The main plot isn't about medical stuff tho!)
To be completely honest it got little bit boring somewhere in the middle and I stoped watching it in 10th episode but then got to it again and I'm glad I did. It was just 1 or 2 episodes that bored me but when i started it again, i was surprised what everything happend.

ACTING: Verry good! All the actors/actresses played their roles almost perfectly. I really liked characters that Tonnam and Aob played ( Sing and Gap ). Ofc...the second couple AS ALWAYS lmaoo. Fortune ( Fang ) is propably my fav :>>

MUSIC: Nice. As always I don't remember anything about the music cuz I never pay much attention tp it and it didn't bother me, so i guess good :))

RV: em....YES?! I mean, it wouldn't be my first choice but I'd definitely rewatch it.

OVERALL: Very well made BL with some new plot. Watch it lmao

Anygays, have a good day and stay safe y'all <333

A perfectly woven tale

I was really skeptical when the trailer came. They had a killer cast with some amazing cameos planned but because of the storyline I was hesitating to watch this. After all, it is very hard to get all the points right with a time loop story.
But, Triage put all my worries at ease in the first 2 episodes. My biggest concern with a fantasy tale like this is that they bend the rules and make it illogical just to get the output they want. Triage, on the other hand, stuck to the said rules. The rules of the loops were clear. The outcome of every loop will have you at the edge of the seat, leaving you wondering what more could Tin possibly do. The cameos were used brilliantly. The character growth of Tol was appreciable. All the characters had the importance and nothing was out of place. To achieve this level of perfection is no joke and triage did it with ease. I also love how the plot was the main focus rather than BL side of it.
My only disappointment is that it was not promoted for international fans. It would have had far greater reach because BL's like this is harder to find.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEDICAL BL SERIES!

I am really happy that I discovered this! It's is not my usual kind of BL series but this is definitely one of the best and my favorite! Just perfect, everything is really amazing! I love the storyline, the characters, the ending.. everything! The casts, especially the male leads, did a really good job in portraying their roles. It's true, I kind of cursed some characters, which did a very effective acting in their annoying parts. I cried, I smiled, I laughed, I was worried... I experienced different feelings in watching this and I love it. The thrill, the mystery, the complexity of the story... well-done and well-executed. I'll surely rewatch this again! Highly recommended! I love it so much!

Another Must Watch!!!

I placed a potential spoiler at the end of this review.

This had an awesome story concept. The series grabs your attention in the first episode. It does get weak around episode 7 but please stick with it. It picks up again and keeps you guessing up to the end of the last episode. See potential spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info. Some people may find it repetitive at time, but it is a series about a time loop. The time loop scenes were done to show how the butterfly effect worked. I felt they did a great job keeping the views interested. I think the medical scenes are very realistic, but I have no medical training. The script was good, but not great because some of the logic does not add up. However, it’s only minor and does not distract from the story. The script did succeed in showing how all the characters are connected in some way. I like the cast which did a great job portraying their characters. My only complaint is how the character Jinta was portrayed. This character comes across very condescending and annoying. I hate every scene he is in except the very last one. I know Jinta is this mystical character, but he could have displayed some compassion when interacted with the other characters. Jinta only displays this in the very last scene he is in. In fairness, I don’t know if this was a problem with the script or how the actor was told to play the character. As for production, the cinematography and locations were great.

Random Note: It’s cool that this series shares the same universe with Manner of Death.

******Potential Spoiler Alert******
The very last scene with Dr. Bun indicates there may be another series in the works that is set in the same universe. I don’t think it will be a second season of this series, but we may see some of the same characters.

It's a good series, but the story went wrong somewhere

This show is entertaining and the premise is interesting, but it feels like the production didn’t know how to achieve the end goal they wanted. The entire organ trafficking plot was not handed well, in my opinion.

It’s clear that the story needed to separate the main couple in the end, which makes sense for the plot. They never manage to be together, even after trying several times. So, that’s not my issue with the show. My main problem is Dr. Doi. I don’t usually pinpoint performances that are bad, but in this case it’s important. Overall, the cast is quite good, everybody has chemistry, and the characters are interesting. But Dr. Doi is the exception. This is Boat’s first acting role, and it makes sense because from early on I could notice that I was not enjoying his perfomance. That’s usually OK, specially for a side character.

But Dr. Doi is a major player in the finale of the show. He has a lot of screen time in the last episode and it’s bad. I’m not saying it’s all the actor’s fault, because the plot is just messy. His portrayal of psycho mode Dr. Doi was not good, and the fact the entire plot depends on the fact that nobody managed to stop him, when there were 3 people in the room when he got thrown in the ground, really bugs me.

The show needed to put Tin in a coma and they chose the worst way of doing that. They could have him sacrifice himself for Tol or be shot by Dr. Sak (who was a better villain). But no, he got stabbed in the back by mega villain Dr. Doi, who comes out of nowhere and starts laughing maniacally.

Also, it feels like a huge missed opportunity to have Sing and Gap’s relationship not develop at all. It’s 11 episodes of nothing, besides Gap showing he has feelings for Sing, and then BOOM, they are together in the last loop and we get nothing.

I will never stop praising this drama

Why this drama is sooooo underrated? one of the most flawless and perfectly executed BL drama I have ever seen. A lot more than just typical (popular, handsome, music, game, university romance) BL drama . Beyond your imagination. This drama is way better than any other BL drama. I cannot stop praising this drama at all. This drama has offer you so many things. This drama is like full 10 course meal in Eiffel tower with your lover. Only thing I expected more on this great series was a lot more sex scene and kisses.

Start with a medical doctor Dr. Tin who doesn't like to save drunk people at all and he did same thing when Tol arrived at the hospital because of accident. he doesn't even check him and Tol dies there. then Dr. Tin time loop start. At first he doesn't know what to do then slowly he will do everything to save Tol. I wish they much more romance part as well. but sadly they don't have but that doesn't mean this drama is less. you don't want to leave even one min while watching this drama. Twist after Twist , loop after loop, Damn what a drama. Till the end your heartbeat doesn't stop beating faster. you will keep thinking what will happen, please let them be together. In my case if drama can make you more curious and keep you tightly on the sit then that drama is fucking great.

The way main actor execute every kind of emotion make this drama great. what can I say about story, just wow wow wow wow. Director has done great job. This drama deserve 15 min standing ovation in queer section in Cannes Film Festival. if BL drama can be this good then definitely it deserve all the praise.
