I shouldn't have to do homework to understand a show

This is a very confused series. Taking multiple movie's worth of story and condensing it down to six episodes was a fool's task. I have read the comments of, "if you watch the movies it makes sense," but a retelling needs to stand on it's own without knowing the source content.

BL Watchers Are The Reason Thai Media Isn't Taken Serious

I watched this show for the BL boys with a horror-enthusiastic friend who has never watch any Asian media, let alone Thai BL and our ratings are remarkably similar: a 9.5/10 for me and a 9/10 for him.
What I enjoyed: the fresh display of improved acting into a new genre.
What he enjoyed: an interesting take on the zombie genre.
What reviewers did not enjoy: a BL production company making a horror series. Scrolling the reviews to see the claims that Domundi is homophobic for making a non-BL their first Netflix release or complaining about very common horror tropes makes me laugh and roll my eyes

These shows don't get second seasons. Stop setting up for second seasons.

This is an interesting concept that, once again, fails in an attempt to set up a twist reveal for a second season that will never come.
Midnight Museum, Home School, Lead Day, and now The Dark Dice. These all were interesting shows that stumbled at the finish line by introducing a plot hook cliffhanger for a continuation, when, instead, they just need to focus on telling a complete, compelling story.
In setting up for the future, this fails to satisfy the present. No character gets a compete arc. No character changes. Don remains Don, set on winning for money. Pie remains Pie, only in the story because of Mark. I hoped for a deeper examination of Samut's desire for praise and acceptance, but I only played myself in wanting a complex character. I hoped for closure to his friendship with Atom and instead got the opening possibility of a romance with Aom. But GMM pink promises all that will be addressed in a second season, I guess.

A Memory In Media

This felt like remembering the lost days of youth: summer camp, first kisses, first heartbreaks. Hazy and beautiful, little detail and even less dialogue, the way memories are recalled. A truly artful coming-of-age story.

This isn't a BL and that's okay.

Reading the reviews for this one, I was apprehensive to start it, but the biggest complaint most people seemed to have is simply based on the fact they were expecting it to be a BL when it is actually a K-drama. "Not enough focus on the main couple/too much time spent with the side characters." That's just how k-dramas operate. "Instead of comedy, I got an emotional roller-coaster." That simply isn't true, there are many comedic moments, and also how is that a bad thing? "I thought I would get some BL vibes." It never marketed itself as a BL.

The only criticisms I agree with are 1) yes Kang Minyu is an annoying pick-me and 2) yes Park Yunjae should man up and actually set boundaries with her.

So, put aside the expectations of getting any boyslove moments and enjoy the show for what it is: a lighthearted, comedic K-drama with a touch of magical realism.

Drop The Entire Man

Pat needs to leave Elyse and Run needs to leave Fei Long. Every time Elyse stung Pat along or refused to admit his feelings, I wanted to shake that poor secretary and tell him to run far away. And, the Stockholm Syndrome in Run with Fei Long had me just throwing my hands up in defeat by the end. Like, good luck with that man, bestie: you're going to need it.

Short And Sweet

A light love story of teenager misunderstandings.
Sea has grown a lot as an actor since Only Boo. There were definitely moments where he looked and sounded more grown.
Being honest, I didn't love them in Only Boo, but this rivals to lovers story feels like a teaser taste and makes me excited for their next project, Head 2 Head.
Chokun and Aun were adorable; the next generation of GMM actors/actresses are all proving themselves.

Season 2 When??

I am 100% attached to Jeon Yu Bin now and will be watching everything he is in. I love the drama coming from self-discovery instead of yet another cheating plotline. It was an uncomplicated story that set itself up for a more drama-filled second season. SukFilm, if you are listening, please give these actors another chance to shine, I beg.

I Have So Many Questions

Why is there so little tennis in this tennis show? Why is the little sister so attached to this stranger immediately? Why is there no build up to the actual relationship? Why is the only good character the best friend who says "we don't need a man"?

A good start that lost the plot

Simply put, this show was an interesting concept that dropped the ball when it did its perspective shift. The rules of the world were clearly established when Tin was the main character, but when Tol became the main character, suddenly all those rules changed and the world no longer made sense (interacting with visions from past loops, receiving a notebook which he never even touched, the kissing rule, and the one chance rule).
On top of that, the characters made choices which made no sense, especially in the final episode. Why were so many doctors completely incompetent and did nothing during moments of crisis?
And finally, the acting was just bad or entirely overacted by the support cast.

Cute, but not much else to say

The love story of the characters the actor's played in the first season, not the actor's themselves like I thought (hoped), this didn't have time for much depth of character, conflict, or real plot. The main leads acted very well and I very much hope they can do a full series together to really show off the chemistry we glimpsed in the second season.

Raw and Real

The truest depiction of queer struggles I have seen in a Thai BL. I struggle to even call this a BL and the cast has said the same thing. This fits much more in the realm of queer drama, which Be On Cloud has always had more of a foot into than the other main production houses.
The beauty and pain of these characters made my heart aches in way I haven't felt since Love In The Big City or Let Free The Curse Of Taekwondo.
I hope Thailand can continue to follow Korea in risking it on these more drama-based stories that don't necessarily end happy.

Get Rid Of The Female Support Character

This show isn't anything amazing, but it is a cute enough watch. The main actor plays his naive character well, the main couple have they're cute moments, and the male support character even has his emotional scenes. But, like the title of the review says, get rid of the female support character. She adds nothing to the story except annoyance.
I cannot believe the central threat of the show, the destruction of the earth, was solved by her incompetence. I was really hoping the writers were going for something like, the chef's grandmother (since they focused a lot on her in one episode) so was an Atlantean who married a human so he had a claim to deny the construction plans. But, it's just, the fsc trips and spills coffee on the world-ending device and that's somehow okay?? Write her out of the story and write a better ending.
