“don’t make me want to live”
first i would like to thank whoever casted kim jiwon and kim soo hyun for their roles. no one could have ate these roles like them. the church scene, the truck scene etc. they were so good. the story started so strong, i was really invested in baekhong’s story but it went down in last 2-3 episode. ep 11 was their peak, but the rest wasn’t that good. they mixed everything up like why hyunwoo got hit by a car and WHY DID HE GET SHOT IN THE NEXT EP?? i was rooting for haein then she recovered but hyunwoo was in the hospital?? i actually wanted to watch baekhong’s marriage story while waitin haein to recover like how they were like in their early stages of marriage, how they got sick of each other, how they lost the baby 1031… i wanted to see those but we only got some scenes. also, grandfather’s third child, he was irrelevant to story? his only role was the unwanted child like why did we even see him if he wasnt going to do anything. anyway, it was good overall i liked the ending but they didn’t have to kill off haein like what do you want from her? instead we could have got he baby scenes. however it was still good i would recommend it, because everyone needs to see my divorced parents,Was this review helpful to you?

Queen of Tears is very complicated because parts of it were so beautiful and I also kind of hated it. The drama started off very rough because, regardless of their marital problems, seeing his excitement at her terminal diagnosis and then disappointment when there was hope in treatment was kind of disgusting. I remember watching it and thinking THIS is who we’re meant to be rooting for?! It was hard for me to get past that. I think one of the biggest issues with Queen of Tears is that it does way too much. I thought this drama would be focused on her terminal diagnosis and this couple finding their way back to each other, but the constant kidnapping, fraud, stolen companies, murder plots, and hostage situations really distracted from the main idea. There was a huge stretch of this drama where it seemed like her cancer was completely forgotten about by not only the characters but also the writers, so it just never felt as high stakes as it should have. The villains were so poorly written that I could hardly stand it. The motivations and actions made little sense. It was infuriating to see Hae-in get abducted, held hostage, or almost murdered just over and over again. I actually thought that the storyline where her family loses the company and has to go move in with her ex’s family was one of the best parts of the show and the show would’ve been a lot better if they’d focused on that instead. Seeing her family attempt to live normally and be at the mercy of these people they’d looked down on was funny and very satisfying. I loved Hyun-woo’s mom especially and her relationship with Hae-in. Her brother’s storyline with his wife was actually a huge highlight as well. He was kind of a doofus but he was so deeply devoted to her and his child, and seeing him grow up and fight for his family was so heartwarming.
The last few episodes were infuriating because it felt like there were just constant plot holes. The way the villain got Hae-in after her surgery and manipulated her felt so crazy and her loved ones had such pathetic attempts to help her, when there were so many things that could have been done. Hae-in’s mother also really did not deserve her redemption arc and her treatment of her daughter was so heinous.
This show only worked because of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won. Even with all of my frustration, I could not stop watching QoT because of their amazing performances and chemistry. These two actors have to be some of the best criers in the world and their emotion got to me every time. The best scenes in the show were when it was just the two of them crying, especially the car crash and the church scenes.
Queen of Tears was a true soap opera. If you want constant attempted murder and kidnapping along with your romance, this is the show for you. The writing was not great and I think the only reason this show was so popular is because of the strong performances by the two lead actors. There are some truly fantastic scenes between the main couple that made me glad I watched it but it was still a drama that left me feeling annoyed by the wasted potential.

Worst Kdrama I have Ever Watched
Unfortunately, I have watched the drama before I learned the male lead is an abuser + p*doph*le, so I completed it. The biggest mistake ever, because it was so sloppy and boring. The actress was bad, too. I hope you-know-who is facing something even worse than the girl in the drama in his real life.Was this review helpful to you?
overrated
The story is boring at first, then it is catchy for a few episodes in the middle then it just goes downhill.Actor Park Sung-hoon carried the show.
I didn’t catch any feelings from the main leads, such a letdown!
Their relationship isn’t fully explored, not in the past, nor in the present, and they should have talked at least about their problems not act like they never happened, that’s what I kept thinking.
A mature married couple unable to talk to each other honestly .
loved a few of the main actress’s outfits though!!

Overhyped
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought this drama is overhyped / overrated after reading some reviews. I must say I was quite disappointed with this drama. I continued watching because I’ve seen/ know about 90% of the casts.You could predict what will happen and nothing extraordinary about this drama, just some emotional scenes.
Well, I wouldn’t recommend this to someone to watch if they’re asking for recommendations.

Too Many Cooks/Troupes Spoil The Broth!!
For me, this drama "almost" lived up to its hype. The premise was strong and beautifully executed. The visuals in the drama were so scenic and beautiful making me want to visit Germany! The characters in the story had flaws and it was reasoned well.But from episode 13, the messy and lazy writing sank the ship. Too many unnecessary troupes were introduced in the later stage of drama where we should have been resolving issues from the previous episodes. Hyun Woo getting into an accident in the penultimate episode and the antagonist arc stretched till the last episode was nail in the coffin for people like me who have been religiously following the drama from its teaser and were waiting for the "Rom" in the said Romcom!!
For the last episode, too many questions and drama were left to unfold leading to a rushed and unsatisfactory ending. It was sort of bittersweet for me. I understand death is a natural phenomenon but showing in the last few minutes instead of them living a healthy life together is a grudge I am willing to hold with the writer for a long long time.
Acting was exceptional. Even If I nitpick I can't find faults. Despite how shambled the writing was, their acting made it convincing. All the aegyos made me laugh. Hyun Woo crying and breaking down when Hae In was hurt made my hurt heart. Hae In from being cold-hearted and emotionless at times made me angry but once her story was out you couldn't help but sympathize. The one kiss (Germany) gave me butterflies.
I wish they work together again in a drama where the script does them justice to their commitment till the very end! The other supporting characters also did a great job!
The OST's are one of the best that I have heard. It matched the story and theme perfectly! The placement of the OST in the drama is done well making them more enjoyable and memorable.
Overall this was a 8.5-9 for me from episodes 1-12 but so many NEEDLESS twists/turns in the last few episodes led it to 7. If it wasn't for the extraordinary acting of leads and the great and intriguing premise I would have rated this somewhere between 6-6.5!

Don't watch if you are fan of the actors
"New high budget tvN/tving/Netflix drama from park ji-eun (who wrote crash landing on you) with kim soo hyun and kim ji won as leads (as married couple), How exciting is that", those were my exact thoughts before i started this drama.I know I'm being too harsh by giving it a 1 ⭐ but I would've given it 0 ⭐ if it was an option. This drama is a toxic family drama disguised as rom-com. The lead couple is so toxic that the fl is a control freak and the ml is so disgusted with her that he wants her dead, on top of that the badly written family and business drama which doesn't make any sense.
To be honest Park ji-eun does it again, In her writing one thing that I found common is a flawless male lead and an immature female lead with poor family relations. She did the same thing in my love from the star and crash landing on you and same here.
at least in previous 2 dramas the flawless male lead part didn't bother much because in former it was an alien and in later it had an in-depth backstory as explanation but here it is so obvious that she is obsessed with that which as a writer a bad thing.
The show starts at least better than how it ended and the quality declines with each episodes and don't be deceived with the high ratings and good reviews, people nowadays just see eye-candy actors and actresses and rate the series 10/10, I really don't get why they even bother to rate it 😂.

Don't fall for the hype, keep the expectations low and similar to what kdrama usually do
I had to fall for the hype and start it earlier than I planned, it was going well but you can see that the writers tried to mix storylines from multiple dramas without a core story.Kim jung Nan character and acting is everything that is wrong with most kdrama, there's always that one character they get wrong by making them annoying and using them for all the dumb stuff no one else would do.
the leads chemistry and acting is spot on but how does one who is supposed so sick NEVER looks sick. is it part of contract to always make her look impeccable.
the ending is almost close but almost every single twist can be guessed long back due to similarities with other series so I don't have much hope but they will end it well as usual so a boring 7/10 as usual which is not a bad thing

DON'T WATCH IT! I LOST MY TIME
It's bad. wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't for my bf that wanted to know the ending. there's absolutely NO REASON for it to have 16 episodes. they make the most just to make the episodes LONG AND BORING. also, if you don't like lack of communication, that's not for you. really. I warned you. I gave it 0.5 bc it's required. otherwise it would be a -100. just blah 😐. The songs are boring also. perdi o meu tempo assistindo!! não recomendo e não sei como ficou TÃO famoso desse jeito sendo que tem tantos outros k-dramas que merecem reconhecimento e não teve!começando com a Hong hae-in que foi o pilar do meu desagrado, ela foi extremamente abusiva com o baek o tempo todo, fez ele chorar durante todos os episódios com o seu gigantesco egoísmo, tratava ele igual bosta e ainda no final teve que "perder" a memória pra ser um ser humano melhor, e outra, quando ela estava tendo uma melhorada no comportamento abusivo teve a questão da cirurgia e quando ela foi questionada pelo baek se ia ou nao fazer o procedimento ela pega a mão dele e solta com tudo parecendo que ele que causou a doença dela e fez ela ficar daquele jeito! ela não mede esforços para fazer ele se sentir inútil em questão de tudo na vida dela, quando ela vai fazer uma mínima ação de bondade TODOS olham pra ela com surpresa pois todos estão sempre acostumados com a ignorância e frieza dela e principalmente o egoísmo.
a história dela tem obviamente tristeza, ela foi culpada pela mãe de matar o irmão pequeno, foi ignorada pela família e reprimida os sentimentos durante a vida mas mesmo com todas essas coisas ela não tem o direito de ser abusiva com ninguém!
vou dar um exemplo: o Dorama chamado "tudo bem não ser normal" protagonizado também com o Kim Soo-hyun, monstra a ko moon young que também passou por muitas coisas horríveis e também no começo foi abusiva com o principal tentando sempre trazer ele pra ela e fazer dele somente dela, porém, é mostrado ao decorrer que ela recebe a ajuda necessária e realmente muda por que ela realmente quer ele do seu lado e quer melhorar a pessoa dela! que no caso da hae-in ela não quer mudar e não mostra melhora significativa em momento nenhum.
achei super desnecessário fazer uma personagem com a personalidade tão abusiva desse jeito e colocar uma doença super preocupante para o público ter empatia com ela de alguma forma, achei desnecessário o jeito que o principal é feito de idiota o tempo todo, achei desnecessário o principal sempre tendo que dar um jeito da burrada da família, achei desnecessário o jeito que é narrado toda a história fazendo sempre ele ser o pobre coitado que faz de tudo pra ela tratar ele com um mínimo de respeito e quando ela ""melhora "' ela só fala: eu te amo e está tudo bem novamente sendo que não está tudo bem! .
as coisas que eu gostei do k-drama foi a história da família do baek e da tia da hae-in, gostei também como a mãe da hae-in melhorou com ela e se redimiu. tirando isso eu não gostei de mais nada. não recomendo de jeito nenhum.

best 2024 kdrama
from the moment I started watching I fell in love with hae-in and hyun-woo!! they are one of my favorite Kdrama couples(and a very good looking one might I add). it was my first Kdrama with the main couple already being married but seeing as they weren’t close due to circumstances( can’t spoil it) it was so nice seeing them fall in love with each other again and I do have to say the title is very well picked out. I definently shed some tears while watching and hyun-woo and hae-in are kind and queen of shedding those tears!! the storyline was very refreshing and I just have to say qot is one of the best 2024 dramas and I will definently rewatch it!!!! I can only recommend watching it(even my father watched it with me and he loved it too!!)Was this review helpful to you?
